Chills In Minutes but Noisy
I love this item solely for the fact that if I have a warm drink of nearly any kind I can chill it in a matter of minutes. That having been said its drawbacks have just caused me to start keeping more things in the fridge.
Very good, but be aware of some cons
When I saw this, I knew right away from my college beer drinking days that this would work very well.We used to buy crushed ice and lay hot beer cans on their side and spun them until cold.The drawback: you had to spin them yourself.What I wouldn't have given to have access to a device that provided the fastest and most effective cooling possible.
No more exploding soda!
Gave this to my husband who constantly put soda in the freezer, forgot it, and viola exploded soda everywhere!We have been using it constantly.We frequently have large numbers of thirsty teenagers here, and this will chill 12 cans on the initial 2 trays of ice cubes.Though it claims extra time will make a soda nearly freezing cold, it doesn't quite get that cold, but it's definitely refrigerator cold. Have also chilled 20 oz bottles of ice tea, which also are nice and cold.Have not yet tried wine (but we drink mostly red and wouldn't chill that anyway).My neice is getting married and this is a perfect gift for her and her fiance! ... Vintagesound
I new this product was a great item. My best friend bought one about 2 years ago and has been so pleased. I was anxious to buy one for my husbands birthday. I shopped around and the prices for other Wine Cellers was outragious. They were not as attractive. The only noise you hear is a slight murmur when the celler turns on. I really think it is great. I hope to get many years of enjoyment from it.

Great Product, Simple Design
I ordered this from Amazon as a gift. It arrived FedEx 3 business days after I placed my order, in great condition. The box was a little mangled but there were no problems with breakage or malfunctioning once I plugged it in.

Doesn't cool as advertised
Looks good, has adequate storage, however, the cooling capabilities are really poor.Why buy a wine cooler and have no cooling power for white wine?Sent it back.

Money well spent
This is my 2nd beverage cooler, I have a Marvel that is built-in and cost about $1,400 it is in my kitchen so it really needed to be of a matching quality to the rest of the appliances.The Haier Wine Cooler is under my Bar for less than $200 with delivery it works great.No bells and whistles, but it is quiet and works well.I will say that I had to return the first one because a plastic corner was broken due to poor packaging.Amazon shipped me out a new one in days so it was only a minor inconvenience.

4 arrived w/ shipping damage
Like others, I went through returns/exchanges of this cooler, due to damage acquired during shipping.Amazon finally gave up and gave me a refund, after 4 attempts.The shipping box is composed of just too thin of a cardboard (and they only cover the glass door with a sheet of styrofoam no more than 0.25 inches thick).I noticed that each replacement shipment (sent via UPS air) arrived in worse shape than the original (which was shipped via ground).Luckily for me, I have a concierge that dealt with the UPS carrier pickups (of the damaged returns) and dropoffs (for the replacements).Possibly better off dealing locally, where you can actually inspect the item before taking it home.

I bought this as an overflow unit.I primarilly am using it to store reds that will mature in 5-8 years.I know the manual says that 57* is the top temperature setting, but I have a thermometer/hygrometer that I placed inside the unit and it has read 59* since the day I plugged it in.

Noisy compressor - unstable thermostat
We have only had our Vinotemp installed for about a month (we use it as a built-in in our kitchen), and it is so noisy when it is running that my husband wants to get rid of it.
Good value
I've only had it a few weeks, so hard to give a long range opinion. unit came in a day(!) and looks great. I have been monitoring the temperature with a portable thermometer to compare it to the LED. The unit is running hotter than the LED reads, but has been consistent. I have called Vinotemp for feedback, but have found their customer service folks to be incompetent.If I wanted a top of the line unit it would have cost 2.5x the money, so I am content with this item.

Great Gift
I gave this to my boyfriend for his 30th birthday and he loves it. We have a small apartment so it fits in the living room and acts as an end table. It looks beautiful and is great for those who enjoy wine but are not to serious about it. I love it and the price was right!

Mine arrived damaged - seems to be the case with many others as well.
It was easy enough to get Amazon to have it picked up but hard to re-package it since it arrived damaged.

Good wine cellar for the price
The packaging was damaged on delivery but luckily there was no damage to the wine cellar. I love the way it looks, and the cellar doesn't make any more noise than a refrigerator should (obviously when you first plug it in, the compressor will generate some noise as it is cooling the cellar for the first time).

It can be done!
There is indeed space for 17! bottles in this cooler, but three of them need to be eiswein! I doubt this will hold 17 .75 liter bottles; I might get one more eiswein in it for 18 bottles. It took some figuring how to do it, but 17 will fit.I haven't had the cooler long enough to note its efficiency, but it seems durable enough.For the price, it seems to be a good purchase.

Disappointed and still waiting
Product arrived damaged and we are still waiting for part from Sanyo. While the wine cooler may be great (who knows - we haven't been able to use it) the service and response was terrible from Sanyo and from Amazon. I will never order something like this from Amazon again

So far so good
I read the other reviews and ended up buying the wine cooler at Lowes, which was cheaper than anywhere else I had looked.It was the last model at Lowes and I bought the one on display for 30% the retail price of $268, so am very happy with the price.The only problem is that it did not come with the key to the lock, not a big concern for me.. But also it did not come with the owner's manual which is a bit of a bummer.Anyone know where I can find one or how I use the manual controls to set the temp manually rather than the programmed temps for red or white?

Buy cheaper elsewhere!!
I give it 4-stars because so far it seems to work like it says it's supposed to.It's very attractive with the two-tone paneling & smokey glass and is a good size.Though, it's not a wine frige with all the bells & wistles.We did a decent amount of research in advance and this seemed perfect for what we want it for ... the great price didn't hurt, either!

Noisiest frig
I bought this model for my remodeled kitchen. I would not recommend anybody to get this one. It's very noisy. I tried and tried to balance the frig as recommended to reduce the noise; but to no avail. If you sleep in a room next to your kitchen, you will hear it at night.
