4-0 out of 5 stars The Roomba behaves as version 0.7 not 2.0
I bought a refurbished Roomba Scheduler. Overall it is worth keeping, but it is not as good as I would wish. It takes about 5 times as long to clean a room as you could do it with a hand held vacuum, but of course you are not actually doing it. It takes perhaps 3 minutes to "clean it after use." This means empty it, clean the filter, brush, rubber roller and the dust sensors. A traditional vacuum is useful here.
4-0 out of 5 stars So far so good
I love this thing. My floors are cleaner now than ever before. This is a must have- especially if you have hardwood floors and cats as I do.As an added bonus the cats are really fascinated by the little guy.The only real drawback is the dirt compartment fills fast- which is why I drop to 4 stars. As a result, you need to empty it after every use- meaning you can not schedule the little guy more than once if you are away from home on vacation or business. That said, I am still happy with the purchase!

1-0 out of 5 stars Dead within first day, support lacking
While the lure of a robotic vacuum may be strong, after our experience with the remanufactured product (as well as iRobot support) we're returning the 4230 and have decided not to buy another iRobot product.

    Editorial Review

Let's face it. Most vacuums just don't cut it when it comes to really cleaning a home or office. Pesky pet hair embeds deeper in carpet than traditional vacuums go; bits and pieces of tracked-in dirt and debris hunker down under floor trim just out of reach of the latest brush innovations, rendering us to the silliness of handpicking behind that expensive vacuum, filling our pockets with lint, and wondering-who's really the boss? Troubles like these made the folks at Eureka get down and dirty and, ultimately, design the Boss Smart-Vac Upright Vacuum.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Eureka 4870GZ Boss: pretty good...with flaws
I've had this vacuum for 2 weeks now and have used it moderately. I am relatively pleased with it on many levels, however there are some annoyances and poor design features
1-0 out of 5 stars Good vacuum, terrible shipping
This vacuum probably works fine if you buy it in a store. The problem is the manufacturer's box is too flimsy for UPS delivery. The vacuum has many thin plastic parts. The first one arrived broken.I asked for a replacement and it also arrived broken and the box is so smashed up that I need to buy a new box to put it in before I can ship it back.It costs the same amount in most stores so there is no reason to buy this from Amazon.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best vac I've ever used
I needed a powerful, efficient vac, since my rugs hadn't been vacuumed properly in months (I was getting by with an electric sweeper). This vac was everything I hoped it would be and more! It's pretty heavy, but that's a small price to pay for how well this vac works. It got my rugs so clean that you would almost think they had been shampooed. So much embedded dirt had been removed!I like the fact that you can direct all the suction into the hose with just one turn of the dial. This was of invaluable help when it came time to clean crevices. My rugs are sparkling!

5-0 out of 5 stars MUCH Better than the original...
I had an original roomba which I was given as a gift some years ago. It had a small dirt catching bin, it would always get stuck under the furniture. I stopped using it. I noticed that Amazon is selling refurbished units for great money! So I purchased the Roomba red and I must tell you they have perfected this baby!!! It never gets stuck. When it goes under a piece of furniture and jams, it will shutoff and automatically back up and resume cleaning. The dirt bin is much larger and my BW says it runs faster!! I have been telling friends at work and they love it also!!!! Does a better job than my regular vacuum on rugs, wood, tile doesn't matter! Set it down in the room turn on power and press the clean button.....then walk away and let roomba clean!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Would be great if it wasnt broken
My Roomba Red worked for about 5 minutes before peices started falling out from under it. Turns out it had a defective Brush Guard.
3-0 out of 5 stars poor support, maybe partly my fault
owned this for about a year.Worked reasonably well, as others have said, takes awhile to charge and needs prequent cleaning to remove hair, etc.Considering how much time I spent cleaning the unit(brush/hair, hair out of bearings, etc.), it would almost have been easier to run my regular vacuum instead.Unit stopped functioning, RMAd it back, company said would replace, and all I recieved back was a charger. Unfortunately, it was a few months before I could confer with them, and in the interim I lost my RMA/tracking number, and although they had my name address/serial number, they were unwilling/unable to do anything else for me.Dilemma now is whether to buy someone else's product or a new one of these(as they are now much cheaper) and since I still have a good invisible wall, battery, and charger.Strongly considering that(seen it at home depot here for $99)despite not being very happy with things, as I still do have these accessoires. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING ON DOG HAIR
The reason we got the roomba was that we have two welsh corgi's that are simply fur explosions. They walk through a room shedding. They come in from outside and shake like crazy with fur going everywhere. You can vacume and a few hours later its like you never did. I was very skeptical about the roomba but was ready to try anything to help. We have wood floors and the roomba doesnt miss anything. It is intresting to see what it picks up when you empty the bin, you just cant imagine all that stuff on your floor. My daughter looked at it cleaning and said "that is the most lazy thing I have ever seen". I have gotten several comments like that about my clean house and my robot; all from those who never clean and arent quite sure where or what a vacume cleaner is. We love this thing and you will too. It comes with a remote control so you can chase your animals through the house as they shed. They arent thrilled about the roomba :), but they understand.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another Believer
After reading all of the reviews I finally decided to take the plunge. I was very hesitant and so was my husband he figured I was buying another gadget that didnt do any of the things that it claimed (my last one being the scunci steamer uggg D- at the best... anyways that's another review) After a week I am thrilled with the reconditioned bot also so is hubby seems very impressed although its hard to get him to admit it he thinks a little on the creepy side. It does a great job on the hardwoods floors they look and feel great. I had a little trouble with the battery charging at first but went to the website for troubleshooting and cleared it all up. I will say the only con so far has been that yes, it is a little bit noisy but I set it when we are leaving and voila come home to a shiny dust free floor. I was worried that it would not be able to cross the doorway threshhold as mine are a little high but I need not have worried the little gripper tires make it over just fine. I was also worried that it would have trouble getting underneath my dining room table and chair, however here is where it excels in cleaning it goes in and out and around each and every chair its amazing to watch so yes there is also the added value of entertainment lol. I would definately recommend it A+. I only rated it a 4 due to the noise a 5 definately it they could quiet it a bit!

1-0 out of 5 stars Arrived prefilled with dirt and hair
I thought it was a good deal to order a "Factory-Reconditioned" Roomba 4210 Discovery to save some money, however...

5-0 out of 5 stars Pretty handy and powerful
This little dust buster has proven itself quite useful.Plenty of power and good maneuverability. Our needs don't require it to be used more than 45 seconds to a minute here and there, so I cannot comment on the longevity of the rechargeable battery. It has worked fine for us.I can see this unit being a little bulky for some people. However, my only gripe has to do with a very minor difficulty in placing the unit back in its charger which I have mounted on a wall.I would like it to just slide into place without having to fumble with it to make sure it is seated properly.

4-0 out of 5 stars Powerful and very handy, but bulky
My husband and I just purchased this to clean up cat food spills, stray cat fur and other small jobs in between regular vacuuming. This is much more powerful than I anticipated. We have had no trouble at all picking up cat fur "tufts" from the couch and crumbs from our tile floor. It easily picks up stray cat litter too. I haven't had any problem with the suction after 1 week of at least twice daily use.We keep it in the charging station. Our biggest problem with it is that it's kind of bulky and it's been hard for us to find a place to keep it stored and charged while still within easy reach. Here are the the pro's and cons for us
2-0 out of 5 stars Worked great, until the battery developed memory...
...and now it won't take more than a tiny charge, barely enough to run at full speed for 1 minute. It lasted a year. ... Read more

This powerful home steam vacuum saves you the expense and hassle of having to rent a steam cleaner and keeps rugs, upholstery, and bare floors (other than hardwoods) looking like new. The powerful 12-amp motor combined with five spinning brushes that operate at either high or low speed lift the usual dirt and grime out of carpets. By pulling on the trigger in the comfortable upright handle, this deep cleaner releases the included carpet/upholstery cleaner and hot tap water. For more stubborn stains or for high-traffic areas, this SteamVac also has a Clean Surge feature, which sends an extra blast of cleaning solution into the stain by simply pressing a button on the handle. When cleaning is complete, release the trigger and the SteamVac forces hot air into the cleaning path so you can do a few dry strokes over the stain. This deep cleaner has two separate water tanks to keep clean water apart from dirty water. The top tank holds the detergent and 1 gallon of hot water and automatically mixes the two so you don’t need to get your hands wet. The lower tank holds the dirty solution picked up from the carpet and unlatches to easily pour out into a sink without spilling. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Pays for itself!
I have owned one of the original Hoover SteamVacs, (when they were about $300 or so) for about 7 years now.I imagine this one is upgraded a bit with the steam surge and all, but let me tell you, Hoover is the best.I did my research back then and all the Bissells got bad reviews. Not only that, but two friends of mine had Bissells that broke within a year.

    Editorial Review

Named for its power and uncompromising approach to pet hair, the Dyson DC14 Animal upright vacuum cleaner is skillfully engineered by James Dyson, inventor of the world's first cyclonic bagless vacuum cleaner. Unlike bag or bagless systems that often lose suction power from dust clogging the bag or filter, there is nothing to obstruct the airflow of this unit. Its Root8Cyclone technology features conical chambers that generate 150,000 g's of centrifugal force, pushing dust and dirt out of the airflow into the vacuum's 5/7-gallon collection cup. With no bag to clog, the vacuum's 250 air watts of suction power remain steady.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It's a little heavy....It's VERY POWERFUL. Stop complaining.
This machine is not much heavier than any cr@ppy vacuum cleaner I've bought from Wally World. why all the complaints? I mean, when old people complain about this great machine being "too heavy", I get it. Old people complain about everything. The rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for dogs and hardwood (Carpet too)
The day it came we vacuumed the hard wood floors in our house and I was shocked at how well it worked. The floors actually feel clean for a change, not crunchy like they use to feel when we would sweep or use the old vacuum. Since we have 2 active dogs, the animal was the choice for us. It works well on our labs course hair and especially well on our Australian shepherd's fine and wispy hair. The thing about the Dyson, that makes it so good with pets, is that not only does is suck well (And let me tell you does it suck, my mother almost sucked the hose inside out) but it doesn't blow any dust back into the air or the hair on the floor around as you try to vacuum it. We don't have to dust near as much because there is just less dust in the air. I didn't really think all the reviews I read could be true, but let me tell you this is a great vacuum.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this machine
I Love This Machine!!! I read all the negative reviews before I bought it, so I would be prepared.Happily, the vacuum exceeded my expectations (I waited till I had owned it 6 months before reviewing it, to be certain), and I don't agree with any of the complaints about it.It cleans out like a dream, sucks up ALL my problems, and I'll never buy another inferior vacuum cleaner. ... The Tempo WidePath features a 15-inch cleaning path for super fast vacuuming when you need it the most. Plus, the WidePath cleans indoor air while you vacuum, thanks to an innovative allergen filtration system that traps 100 percent of dust mites, 99.98 percent of ragweed, and common grass pollens for cleaner breathing and fresher air. 4-0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive and Works Fine
Our 6-year old Panasonic died (motor armature burned out) and we replaced it with this Hoover.Weight and performance are comperable to the old Panasonic ($160 new) and it's an incredible bargain at $60.I am giving it only 4 stars because although it's about as loud as the Panasonic, the sound is higher-pitched and is, to my ears, more annoying. No problems so far after 6 weeks of use.

4-0 out of 5 stars CLEAN THE FILTERS!!!!
I was just about to write a review detailing how this vacuum worked great at the start and after a week it stinks. The thing is, this cleaner is so strong that the first day I had to empty the bagless bin four times. There was such a build up of dirt that all 3 filters, and the area with the rotating brushes were completely clogged with dust and hair. The hand hose didn't suck anymore, and I wasn't sure if it ever did.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for any home
I've had experience with quite a few vacuums (kirby, dirt devil, generic pieces of crap, etc), and this one is the best so far.Suction is great, it's powerful and does get to those corners well.I actually like where the on/off button is, it's really easy for me to reach.I've only had it about 2 months, but I have nothing but praises for it.It's quite light, which is good for smaller folks like me who can't lift 100 ton vacuums.Assembly instructions were easy and quick, and I feel like I could quickly and effectively change or fix the belt should it ever break or malfunction (which it hasn't so far).Overall, it does a great job, just as good as any other bagged vaccuum, in my opinion.I hope this review helps someone because the previous ones helped me to pick this product. Editorial Review

Hoover’s latest canister stands out for its design-savvy looks, not to mention the fact that it cleans with powerful WindTunnel technology. Dirt particles are cleverly ducted away from the spinning agitators to ensure they’re captured in the bagless dirt cup and not sent back out onto the carpet. The HEPA filter traps minute allergen particles and conveniently removes for cleaning. Large, soft wheels allow the compact 12-amp vacuum--which looks like it could play a robot extra in Star Wars--to maneuver easily. Best of all, the handgrip features electronic control buttons for power on and off, variable suction (allowing smooth transition from wood floors to area rugs), and agitator action speed for carpets. Tools are easily attached to the telescoping wand, making it a snap to switch from cleaning floors to using drape and upholstery tools. I just received my Hoover and tried it out.Was amazed at how much dirt it picked up!I thought my old Eureka was great, but this little guy picked up more dirt than my Eureka did in a month. Will take a bit getting used to it, but I'm already very happy with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best vaccum ever!!!! I've owned two!!!
I bought this vaccum two years ago from Best Buy for $400,after much research and consideration. It is the only vaccum I've had that can clean every room and under beds with out alot of heartache. It is so powerful it will suck toys and clothes out from under beds, and pick up dog food with no problem. I LOVE it! A piece broke on one of my attachments, and Best Buy made me bring in the whole vaccum to do the repair. They said it cost to much to fix and assumed I'd take a store credit or trade. They then proceeded to throw my vaccum away without asking me if I wanted to do an exchange. Anyways, they carried nothing close to comparable to my vaccum, and so they ended up giving me a full refund, so I could buy another one. I bought this one two weeks ago and it is identicle to the other. I STILL LOVE IT!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great purchase
In the market for a new vacuum I did alot of research and settled on the windtunnel.I really wanted a canister and for the price and the reviews this seemed like the best deal.I am very happy with the purchase.I have 4 cats and I don't think my house was ever this clean.I love having no bags.I love the fact it's a canister (I previously owned the windtunnel upright). The suction is amazing. The cleaning tool for furniture is the first thing I have ever found to actually effectively clean cat hair off of fabric furniture. This is a great vacuum! ... I have had experience with five Roomba Vacs...The first one died after two weeks going berserk and running in circles...Amazon replaced it with a new one....

I was skeptical about how thoroughly this little vacuum would clean but am very happy with the results. The best part is how it can reach places traditional floor vacuums don't. I like my Roomba a lot. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Yeah!Hoover S2220 does the job!
After having my Eureka for 7 1/2 years, which I loved, I was on a mission to find a comparable vacuum that rolls smoothly on the wood floors, is fairly lightweight and has higher amps than most "electric brooms".I took a chance with the Hoover & am completely satisfied.I actually like this one better! It is a little bit heavier than my previous vacuum, but really not a major issue.I would recommend this to anyone with wood floors that need clean up daily (or more!).Picks up crumbs, dirt, dog hairs, without any problems. Also works well on the area rugs for a quick once-over.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thank you Hoover for the Flair
Two adults + 2 kids + 2 dogs = Hoover Flair rates at 5 stars. We have tile, wood, carpeted floors (berber) and the Flair sucks like a 12 amp champ.Keep in mind this is not a 12 amp vacuum but for a lite floor vacuum it responds like one.I purchased this vacuum mainly to use on by tile and wood floors and I'm 100% satisified. This vacuum is very light, swivel is a big plus, picks up dog and people hair (bathroom) like a champ.I still us my Hoover Wind Tunnel for my once a week vacuuming for the carpet but the Flair is also good in a pinch. Also it's a quiet vacuum.
5-0 out of 5 stars As advertised.......
Pros: I bought this based on the other reviews and this is no joke. Works GREAT! Gets right in corners and is great on my carpeted stairwell. I live in a one bedroom loft and don't need a big vacuum, but this works just as well if not better then most.

    Editorial Review

Hand-held but very powerful, this Eureka model eliminates the hassle of lugging around a full-size vacuum for cleaning car upholstery, sofas, and carpeted stairs. A long 20-foot cord (which wraps for storage) provides good reach, as does the deluxe hose that stretches to three times its length. With the crevice tool on the end of the hose, this vacuum reaches into all kinds of tight places. And, with two motors, one to power the revolving brush and one for suction, the 5.5 amp vacuum cleans deeply. Read more

    • Bagless filter and clear dust cup clean easily

4-0 out of 5 stars Great suction, but could be lighter
Its amazing how much dirt this little baby sucked off our couch and upholstry. The ability to make the suction head vertical is quite helpful. The vaccum cleaner is a bit on the heavy side though - if it had been a little lighter, I would have given it 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a hand held vacuum that works!!
I recieved my Eureka hand held vacuum yesterday. The first thing i did was vacuum my sofas...WOW was i amazed at what was in there!I have had many other dustbusters that work great for awhile and then give out after about a year. (usually charger malfunction) I decided i was going to try an electric one this time and i'm so happy i chose this one.I couldn't be happier!!I can't wait to get to the stairs next!!LOL. The suction power on this vacuum is better than my upright vacuum. The filter probably will need to be cleaned out after each use.I have to clean out the filter on my upright after each vacuuming too...so i'm used to it. We just use our aircompressor to do that. Someone had mentioned that the cup fills up fast.I imagine if your doing a big job it would. But for in between cleanings or doing sofas, beds or stairs, I wouldn't think you'd have to empty it more than once. You absolutely won't regret buying this machine.I never have written a review on anything else before, but this one deserves it!!I love it, love it, love it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little machine

4-0 out of 5 stars Works just like more reviewers said it does
I had one of those Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman moments this morning. My wife and I were rushing to get ready to go to the birthday party of a toddler, and a tiny can of Coke balanced on a shelf fell to the floor and exploded without any of us hearing it in our open kitchen pantry.
    4-0 out of 5 stars It's great!
I received my Floormate yesterday and it's great! It was easy to assemble and easy to use!I'm so happy to get rid of brooms and mops! The only reason that it got 4 stars is that I found it to be a bit heavy.I'm a petite girl and I found it a bit heavy, but other than that, it's perfect!

5-0 out of 5 stars No more scrubbing on my hands and knees -
I know one reviewer wrote that nothing replaces scrubbing on the hands and knees - but I'm thinking this does it for my house.Once a month, I regularly scrubbed with my bucket and scrub brush - yet within weeks, if something were to spill on the floor and I wiped it up with a papertowel - there would be black on the towel from dirt on the tile floor.I also mopped daily with one of those clorox mops - but it just didn't do it.With 4 young kids, a spotless kitchen is not in their vocabulary. They paint in my kitchen, do arts and crafts, including glue and sparkly things, plus I have a husband who doesn't know the first thing about cleaning up after himself in the kitchen.Add to that the pool that is open and inviting to all the kids friends every summer, and you get lots of little feet tramping across the floor. This floor cleaner is awesome - you can vacuum with it - but I prefer to vacuum my kitchen floor with the rest of the house, and use my Dyson. Then, a simple fill up from the hot water tap and some cleaner (look for my review online about the cleaner - do NOT buy it in the stores) and you're off.The first couple times I cleaned, I moved slowly, and got off dirt that was ground into the grout that I'd never bothered to pick out.Even dried playdooh came right off. After that first week - I realized that the soles of my feet were no longer turning black.AFter 2 weeks of use (I used it every 3 days at first) I let the kids wear their white socks in the house again.Amazing.I still haven't used it in the bathrooms to see how all the attachments work - but for what it can do in the kitchen alone - it was well worth the money. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This thing is like holding a full sized vacuum cleaner in your hand.It is that powerful.I am going to by one of these for my vacation property as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars My best DustBuster yet.
This is the most powerful and easiest to clean DustBuster I've owned yet. The first few lasted a few years each, but one I bought last year only lasted 9 months. This one is so quiet and does such a good job I hope it last much longer. My one gripe is that this is the fourth style of wall mounting plate and accessories. You'd think the could have standardized by now. The screw-holes for the wall mount aren't even in the same place.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for bare surfaces... not great on carpeting
I was disappointed on how poorly this dustbuster works on carpeting. When I used it to vacuum up cat litter on my carpet, I ended up getting out my big vacuum to finish the job. I was hoping that by now, Black and Decker would have figured out how to make a Dustbuster that works well on carpet. However, it does work well on bare floors...I'm glad I bought it for simple, fast clean-ups on bare surfaces.I like the design. It's easy to handle.Easy to clean.Again, would recommend for bare surfaces. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Works Great
I got this as a gift. I have three kids, a dog and live in government quarters that require us to leave the carpet looking new (they even black light you upon checking out.) This product is a life saver. I haven't had any problems with spraying. It does leave crop circles, but does get all the stains out, then when I get the big steam cleaner out when I do that once a quarter cleaning, it all blends together. It is a great product that saves me time, energy and hopefully when we check out next year some dollars.

1-0 out of 5 stars I'd give it 0 stars if that was possible
This thing stinks. And I did not even get it going. The priming problem is real. What a pain. How do corporations get away with this?Because consumers allow them to!I mean, look at all the problems in these reviews with priming, and so many people say, "But, gee, I finally got it working."I mean, is that a standard to aspire to?
2-0 out of 5 stars Leaves spots of its own
While the Spotbot is good at removing all types of stains on the carpet, you'll find yourself left with even more noticeable patches on your carpet. We've had our Spotbot for about six months.Unfortunately every time we use it it does something to the carpet which causes dirty patches to form much faster. Now we've got loads of circles on our carpet which are very evident to visitors. ...
