Great Idea, but poor design. Grounds everywhere!
Purchased this item and and it worked fine for a few weeks. Then it started to overflow the grounds outside of the basket and into the water tank, water spreader and into the cup of coffee. Black and Decker replaced the coffee basket but that did not help, when I called them back they offered to send a "refurbished" replacement for $7.50 (the original price for the brand new unit was only $15) if I sent them back a piece of the power cord. And if the replacement unit does the same thing, then I would only have $22.50 in a non-useable unit. No thanks! I would suggest you stay away from this item.

No waste and no extra expense!
I had a small 4 cup coffee maker for years but had to make 2 cups in it to taste right, even though I only drank one cup. I'd forget about the second unnecessary cup, and it would sit in the pot all day while I was at work & eventually stunk up the kitchen over time.

Okay, I've spent hundreds of dollars on different coffee makers over the past two years... After I figured it out I think it is a very, very good idea
When I received this thermos, at first I thought there was something wrong with it.For some reason I had the idea that to pour you had to flip up the top.Finally I went to the Amazon.com website and read about it again, it said to twist and pour.So I put some water in it to try it, and voila it poured like a charm.Whoever thought of the idea to leave the cap on (thus retaining most of the heat, which would escape otherwise) had a very, very good idea.The only thing I would change is there would be more specific directions so dummies like me understand better how it works.After I figured it out there is no way this would not be a very good thermos, if not the best! :)

i love this thermos!i fill it up in the morning with hot coffee and it will keep it hot all day.one time i accidently left it at work overnight, so i wasn't able to fill it up the next morning.i knew there was a little left in the thermos, and since i'm pretty much addicted to the stuff i decided to suck it up and drink bad, cold coffee.to my amazement it was still very warm (though not hot) and entirely drinkable!

works well, by keeping my smoothies frozen when I taken it for lunch. I have opened it after 3 hours at room temp to 80 deg, with the smoothie still frozen. Cup leaks
Cup leaks out of the top closure part. I need one that does not leak at all, most of the time my hands are full and it's a balancing act. Very disappointed for this amount of money it is not worth the aggravation.

Keeps it hot for hours - if you don't mind a funny taste
I got this mug about 4 months ago.I must say that I'm amazed at how long my coffee or latte stays hot.It's hot at least 4 hours after I make my cup in the morning.My only problem is that when I pour a latte or mocha into it, it has a funny taste.Straight coffee doesn't have that problem - it tastes just like drinking from a mug.Lattes however taste very different.I've tried cleaning it with anything I can think of and it still leaves this weird taste.Hopefully I can find another mug for my lattes that keeps them hot, but doesn't leave a funny taste.This mug isn't it.

Well, depends on what you need it for
As a home iron, sure.As a travel iron...never again.I really did like the iron.What I didn't like was that it blew THREE electric current converters.Three!!The very expensive one with all the adaptors that I bought to take on my 3 week European tour, plus 2 more that I bought in France because I had no way of charging my camera battery.Third time's a charm, because it was at that point that I figured out it was the iron blowing the fuses.On the first, I tried to change the fuse (because it came with 2 extra), but the iron fried it so badly, that the fuse material melted to the connection points in the converter.So, no thanks....I'll go back the slightly crappier travel iron I picked up from Wal-Mart for the last trip I took.

I took this travel iron to Israel and because of the dual voltage all I needed was a plug adapter and it worked great!

Good for size and prize, not an award winning iron though...
I really hate to iron and I am terrible at it (my only failing when it comes to domestic matters), so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I'm probablynot the best judge of irons.

Heads up if your application is to "block knitting"
Just used the steamer for the first time and was impressed with how well it got up to temperature.It produces a good amount of steam for dewrinkling clothes, but keep in mind this is for short term use i.e. you will have to refill several times if you need to do several articles of clothing.

Great idea, design flaws
I really have to say, it's a great idea, but with a couple of design flaws.The wine "glasses" had two chipped - so I will have to return it - but it's more cost efficient to go to the party place and get more.The price is so cheap, it's not an issue, but it IS an annoyance.The rest is true, the food should be on the outside, not the inside, it can and will if stuffed - get crushed.The wine is only one sided, so it can be awkward.In all, this is less than the cost of a couple of movie tickets, why complain?

I read every night in bed with a booklight.I've bought just about every book light on the market.They are all either clumsy, too bright, not bright enough or the batteries run out every 2 weeks.

it leaks
This works fine to keep drinks warm for extended periods of time, but in my opinion a travel cup should not leak, and this one spills copious amounts of liquid as soon as it is not in an upright position.A much better design is the oxo (also available from Amazon), which I had but lost it.

Good, but not hot enough
I really like the design of this mug, and it does not leak.However, I've been using it for about 8 months now and I'm starting to notice that it does not keep my coffee hot enough.At least it doesn't live up to the 3 hours that it promises -- my coffee was room temperature after only 2.

Great clock for my 7-year old
Purchased this so my 7-year old can wake up on his own for school.I checked several stores and was dissapointed to find nothing suitable for a child (didn't want radio, CD, telephone, and other features).
Just what I expected
I have had an oregon scientific clock for the last 7 years, finally had to replace it because of a soda spill.I knew i wanted another Oregon Scientific clock and this was the best choice.In fact this one works better then the old one (no long cord with a humongous antenna) I love the time on the ceiling feature.Yes it only works when no sunlight is in the room but i dont sleep during the day. I highly recomend this product.

Little clock almost has it all
This is one small clock, read the measurements.I didn't and was a little shocked when I took it out fo the box.On the plus side, though it is small it has everything you need and takes up such little room on the nightstand.It has a reasonably sized display, day and date, inside temperature and projects the time onto the ceiling.It can be battery powered or plug into an outlet.The time can be set manually, or you can use the atomic clock to have it set itself.That is an entertaining feature, but you should be very patient.It took almost an hour for mine to set.

I bought this bookstand at the beginning of 1L after a lengthy search and lots of testing.

After reading several reviews, I only read one that was negative. I concurred that perhaps one person just had different needs.Well, as soon as I opened the package I realized just how right the negative review was.This book stand would hold up a children's soft cover back.Any of my school books are not stably supported.I would actually have to hold up the sides of the book to read the pages.Unless you have thinner hard back textbooks (the hard back will support the pages), this is not worth buying (especially not for $20.00).Make sure you realize just how small this bookstand is. If that is with you need, then this is the one for you.

what is the problem? none
i am a little surprised at all the negative reviews. i have had my Homedics machine now for 5 years, and it has been wonderful. Unfortunatly, in a recent move, it broke. Now, I am getting my second machine.
NOT for snooze pushers
If you enjoy a gentle, gradual awakening while pushing the snooze button a few times, do not get this clock. Once the alarm goes off and you push snooze, the sound machine part does not automatically come back on, so you go from a reasonably nice sound, to an awful buzzer (whose volume depends on which volume you had the nature sounds volume at), to dead silence. Plus, the angle of the snooze button (on the front rather than the top) makes it hard to easily push with one hand. Most of the buttons are small and hard to use.
Not Good
I don't like this product. It is complicated to figure out how to operate, the dials for the radio stations and volume move too easily when groped at in the night, the radio sounds bleed over into the nature sounds and it picks up cell phone signals or sounds from outer-space -- hard to tell which but annoying and jarring in the middle of the night.

Short Life
These bulbs are very expensive and very short lived.Unfortunately it is almost impossible to find a cheaper replacement with the same amp and watt rating. You are hooked into buying these bulbs for your itty bitty if you want the same brightness.These bulbs progressively darken as the tungsten is burned off the filament and deposited on the bulb surface, so the light begins a dimming process almost immediately.This whole system from Zelco needs reengineering.Beware!

Better deal and reliability with different voltage
I've used Zelco's booklights for years, and discovered early on that their bulbs burn out quickly - no doubt a nice profit center for the company since replacement bulbs cost about a dime each when bought in bulk.The problem is that four 1.5 volt batteries (or the AC adapter) produce 6 volts, and, while called 6 volt bulbs, these things actually work optimally at 5 volts (which 4 rechargable NiCad batteries would produce, but that's another discussion).The solution is to hit Radio Shack or a similar vendor (maybe amazon has them?) and buy 7.5 volt replacement bulbs (they're about a buck each at full retail).You get very slightly less light, but a single bulb has now lasted me almost 3 years of nightly use, because the filament in the bulb is burning at a lower temperature.So only buy these 6 volt bulbs if you like replacing bulbs frequently and/or need the extra 7% of light they squeeze out of their overworked, overheated filaments, or are using NiCad rechargable batteries (which, although they're called 1.5 volt batteries, only produce 1.3 volts). ... Some Like It Hotter
As with many other products on Amazon.com, the "Ultimate" earned pretty much of a bimodal distribution:People seem to basically love or really dislike the "Travel Tumbler." Either the quality control at Nissan is terrible (i.e., people are getting tumblers that differ greatly in quality), or the reviews themselves are just not very reliable.Coffee lovers may be a pretty emotional bunch when it comes to their preferred caffeine delivery method, and some of the complaints seem steeped more in emotion than practicality. I'll try clarifying the bases of my own evaluation, which places the "Ultimate's" performance somewhere between the very good/very bad polarity I see here.
About as "Spill-Resistant" as a Colander...
Well, other reviewers have extolled the virtues of this mug---including its supposed spill-resistant top.

My impression
Dear Customer Service,
OK but delicate - Doesn't Hold Up to Frequent Use
While these book lights work well while they are working, they just don't hold up to frequent use. They seem to develop short circuits often and the hinge loosens up too much so the light flops over.Also, the bulbs burn out pretty quickly.I've had 7 or 8 Itty Bitty booklights / both original and volume 2 and have had to replace each of them within a year or less with normal (nightly) use. Keep looking there are better ones out there.I recommend the Phorm.It's a whole lot sturdier.

I am looking for a new book light, and as a former owner of this light, I was suprised at the bad bulb stats.This bulb, like halogen bulbs, get very hot.It is imperative that you do NOT touch the bulb with your fingers when installing or adjusting it.The oil from your skin heats the bulb to a higher temp. and hastens failure.Hope this helps ... The can cooler that works
I first purchased 1 can cooler to try it in the hot weather. I was very surprised that it worked better that any can cooler I had ever used, so I purchased 12 more and now everyone enjoys them at our outdoor events.

Nissan Multi-Function Can Insulator
The Nissan Multi-Function Can Insulator is a lightweight versatile stainless steel holder that effectively keeps canned beverages cold. My mother and I find the product allows our soft drinks to remain cold after more than two hours. This cooler is perfect. Just to experiment, I placed an unopened ice cold can of beer in the Thermos cooler and left it on the kitchen cabinet @ 9 AM. When I returned 3 hours later, it was still basically cold. At 4PM that afternoon it was still a little cool. I imagine if the can would have been opened it would cool down faster, but this is perfect for the summer and sure beats styrofoam coolers. Hardly reliable
The switch broke the second time I used it. The workmanship just isn't there.Don't waste your time.

Good until you really need it
It's great for reading in a tent and pitching a tent in the dark but it does flicker on and off and does not seem bright enought for hiking out in the dark.It seemed brighter when I first got it, but now it seems to eat batteries and it not bright enough for night hiking.
Had for years and love it
