Decent set of utensils
I definately got this set because it was KitchenAid and when with the Red kitchen theme I have. Overall, it's a pretty good deal. The spatuala and the peeler are awesome! The Ice Scream Scoop is just a basic Ice Cream scoop, but it does have a nice sturdy handle which makes scooping hard ice cream easier. The whisk handle is a little too bukly, and would have been nicer if the handle was round instead of oblong, so you can roll it between your palms for better whisking. The can opener is hit-or-miss. Sometimes it does a great job. Other times it is almost impossible to actually get a normal can open. I'm glad I bought this but mostly because of the color, styling, and the "good" utensils. I'm sure there are better-quality and better designs out there though.

Pretty good
All of these items are bulkier than they need to be, so it just seems they take up a lot of room in the drawer.I had used the spatula for all sorts of cooking, but I did manage to melt the tip of it while stirring a (probably too hot) skillet (my fault- that didn't affect my star rating, just a warning).My only other complaint is the whisk is so big, there have been a number of times I don't couldn't use it- like whisking just a couple eggs in a small bowl- I had to find a smaller whisk.

These things are great! They are really comfortable to use, they work well and stand the test of time! My Mom always said that Kitchen Aid was the way to go and for once my Mom and I agree on something, lol! And by the way, this price is a steal at Target! Works well for herbs
Not sure how well the pepper mill actually work for pepper.I use a little electric mill for that.However, I bought four of these sets a few years ago and now I'm buying four more.I gave away the salt shakers - don't need more than one of them.However, the little pepper mills are just perfect for grinding dried herbs as you need them.Store coarse cut dried leaves or seeds in the little grinders and grind fine onto your salad or soup.Works quite well for everything from rosemary needles to mustard or celery seed to crumbled dried parsley or basil leaves - or mixes of many herbs.And the little grinders sit nicely in an herb bottle wall rack or in a little saucer on the table.Only time I ever had the crank handle break off was when I stored a salt/herb mix in one of them and the grinder wheel froze up from salt generated corrosion. Keep the salt in the salt shaker and use the little grinders for herbs.Or even pepper.

what good is salt without pepper
I used this set for a couple of months before the little knob on the grinder fell off.Then the acrylic cracked.Overall a very low quality product.Invest in a good set, or buy this set every couple of months.

This set has worked wonderfully for me since buying it 2 years ago.The knob on top of the pepper mill can be adjusted in order to make the peppercorns ground as fine as you like.When the peppercorns get refilled, just remember to tighten the knob on the top to your liking. ... Read more

THEY ARE VERY BIG
They are very big, the spoons are very uncomfortable to use, they should have been smaller. and a better grip.

Too heavy on handle end
These tools are made of high quality materials, and they look very nice. However, the ends of the handles are so thick and heavy that if you leave them propped on the side of a shallow pot or pan, or on the counter, they are very prone to flip out of the container or off of the counter, carrying food with them to the kitchen floor. This happened to me twice while cooking thanksgiving dinner. I will not throw them away, but I would never buy them again.

Practical, big, pretty!
These shakers hold plenty of salt & pepper and they are handy as heck to have on the stovetop (but they do get warm if you the oven's on) to season food with. Haven't had any problems with leaks. Regular salt (not coarse or Kosher) works best--you'll get no clogs with it.

they don't function
i hated these shakers. i got them as a gift and 1. they are too big and take up too much space and 2. the rubber stoppers were not a tight fit so the salt and pepper was always leaking out the bottom and 3. the holes in the top are too big and too much comes out at once. finally one broke and i was thrilled to toss them out. the other, smaller fiesta ware ones -- the round ones -- are much much better. ... Good and biiiiig...
I bought this set on sale at a local store for almost half the price amazon is offering right now. The tools have a good feel and they are well made, the only problem is that they are kind of big even for my big hands. The spoon has some scratches at the tip after only a few uses on nonstick pans. The canister is big and nice looking with plenty of space for more utensils.

Strudy and dependable
These utensils are the most used in our kitchen, so I appreciated the emeril product that packaged them with a crock.The utensils are both oversized and sturdy allowing effective use throughout our cooking chores.They are also attractive enough to leave on the counter without worrying about appearances.

I bought this set when they first came out, and I just love it.I have since purchased more of the individual pieces to add to the set.The canister is a perfect match to my hard anodized cookware sets.The kitchen tools don't bend when lifting heavier items out of pots as so many of the vinyl pieces do.The handles have larger grips that conform to your hands, and are great for even those like me who have smaller hands, and they are much easier to hold on to.. ...
