Beatiful and Functional
I am a huge fan of innovation-meets-function and this product is top notch in that regard. I have yet to have a guest miss this interesting piece in my kitchen! It's a bit smaller than I immagined, but just as stunning in design as pictured. The craftsmanship is of very good quality and well worth the price. Don't expect mountains to pour our though. The shakers only dispense a small amount - inconveninet for cooking, but perfect for individual seasoning additions once the meal is set.

I hate coming up with a title
The brushed metal design is very handsome and classy to set on the dining table. These were much smaller than I had expected -- only wished they were bigger as they could also be shown as a more prominent work of functional art. Haven't had problems shaking salt or pepper out of them.

Utensils not heat resistant
These are only good for cold items.Not heat resistant and melt and bend when used with heat.Have thrown these away and replaced.DO NOT BUY -- unless you're desparate for the crock.

Don't use for hot food!
Bought this for the kitchen and the only piece that truly does what it is supposed to do is the vase they give to hold all the pieces.The spoons both melted in pots of boiling water stirring spaghetti.The spatula bent and distorted while trying to lift something off a hot cookie sheet.

i guess you get what you pay for. the only item of good quality in this set is the container that holds the pieces. i had one of the ladles in a pot of pasta that was only med high heat and the heat made the plastic shrink. the quality of this product is very cheap plastic. it feels like a toy. do not buy this junk. i wish someone would have revieed this as junk so that i didnt waste $15 on this crap. after the first ladle got deformed, i tried one of the pasta spoons and one scoop into the med high heated water and it ALSO melted. one scooop!!! this is junk and farberware should be embarassed to produce such cheap quality products. i wanted to write their company but couldnt even find the product listed on their website. ... Good but not ideal for tempering chocolate
This pot is very simple to use if you just want to melt chocolate for baking or for fondue. It even comes with tiny little fondue forks (although admittedly, longer, nicer looking forks would have been more useful). However, if you are making candy, this pot heats the chocolate too high for tempering chocolate properly. You can still use it, you just need to watch it pretty carefully and keep a thermometer handy. For tempering (meaning the chocolate resolidifies at room temperature with a nice sheen), you should not allow the chocolate to get hotter than 96 degees F. (No, you don't need to heat it up, cool it down, and heat it up again, that's the old ridiculously difficult way of doing it. Chocolate will start melting around 92, just don't let it get much hotter.) The lowest temp setting on this device gets it up to about 109. But as I say, if you watch and stir and turn off occassionally, you can still do it.

The Best Invention for Melting Chocolate!
I am really amazed at how wonderful this product is. I like to bake, and alot of the recipes call for melted chocolate. I used to use the microwave to melt it, but often the chocolate would get too hot and burn through the microwaveable dish and smell up my home. I also tried using a double boiler and it just took too long and the chocolate got hard really fast when it was no longer on the stove top.

Almost perfect
These canisters look beautiful and are wide enough to easily fit a full cup measure.The only problem with them is that the rubber gasket on one of our canisters doesn't fit quite right, so the lid doesn't fit perfectly.In spite of this flaw, we kept them and like them a lot.

Complete Junk
Two reasons not to buy these. First you have to examine the tops to see if they read "P" or "S". Secondly - you can't remove the tops. On my first fill the tops removed easily but that was the first and last time. Even with a strap wrench I have not gotten the top off the salt shaker again. Who could imagine that any company existed that could not make a salt shaker?

2 sets were both defective!
The first set I received looked great, but I could only remove the lid from one of the shakers. I returned that set and received a replacement set, and I couldn't get the lids off of either shaker!
