These are great and beautiful to look at!
These kitchen tools are perfect for use with stainless steel cookware, however care must be taken not to scratch the cookware.These tools look absolutely beautiful and shiny, and are very sturdy to use.I love how the spatula is thinner than a plastic spatula making it much easier to remove fried eggs or scrambled eggs.

I bought this set and was very pleased until the grater just snapped at the handle. This implies that there is a support problem with the manufacturers design.

Wok and Roll!!!
I received this yesterday.They are very sturdy and well made.I used one piece to stir fry last night and was very pleased.It also cleaned up easy.I am very impressed with the weight and quality of each piece.This particular set (in a clear plastic box) is treated wood.The price is very much worth what you get.
Why the perfumy odor?
These spoons have a nasty perfumy odor.I have to wonder what smell are they trying to hide with that perfume?For myself, I will return these rather than take a chance.

big and useful
Initially I was very surprised by how large the tools were. They are much bigger than any tool I've bought previously. If you don't have much space in the kitchen, I'd think twice about buying these tools.However, after using them I think they are quite sturdy and useful.Eventhough they are large, they are not heavy and sometimes there size is quite helpful.You can pick up a whole fried egg with the spatula, for example. I am happy with my purchace, because the price was good.

Bought these to replace older, non-matching kitchen tools.OXO work well and look nice but size-wise they are a bit large.Handles are extra long which is kind of overkill especially when using a small pot or pan.Grips are comfortable.Will have to invest in a new holder with a wide mouth to fit all tools comfortably.All is good, just be forewarned on size. ... not reliable quality
I guess I also got a defective torch!it takes 10-15 tries to get the torch to light, and the flame is hard to keep lit, when it does stay lit, I can't seem to get any sort of melting without lighting the sugar on fire and charing it.perhaps I'm using it wrong, but the directions are VERY vauge.the ramekins are great, but the torch...

I purchased this set with some apprehension after reading one reviewer who claimed the product couldn't produce a steady flame.Honestly, I'm not sure if that reviewer was using the product improperly or just got a defective one; my experience has been quite the opposite. The unit is a cinch to fill with butane (not included with the set), reliably and easily produces a flame, and provides adjustable flame size (both length and width).I know there are more expensive kitchen torches on the market (some by this same manufacturer) but I think this one is suitable for every kitchen use. In fact, when my neighbor saw mine he wanted one for his home workshop! The included ceramic creme brulee ramekins are the right size, though they are manufactured in China, not France.Also included is a simple, basic recipe for Creme Brulee (though I have not tried it yet but instead used one of my own).Price, performance, and panache are the trilogy which make this set a winner.

worst gift ever
I recieved this set as a gift and I seriously doubt that the gift giver paid the thirty dollars amazon is asking.If they did, I would be quite ashamed of them.Not only are the utensils made of poor quality, inexpensive materials; there seem to be some pretty major design flaws as well.While the turner and pasta thingy are fine, I still haven't figured out what they were thinking when they made this ladle.It is bulky and has a tremendous surface area, thus making it more difficult to clean, yet it does not appear to have a proportional capacity.That is to say: it's bad at ladeling.The whisk is just ridiculous. I am not sure what it is that the designer forsaw one whisking with this particular object, but it clearly wasn't anything with actual substance as the whisk tends to bend and come apart when asked to so much as scramble an egg.I am not typically one to bemoan the quality of something I didn't even pay for, but I would encourage you to give the matter serious thought before you open your wallet for this crummy crummy gift.

i was really shocked to get my utensils. couldn't believe these were intended as a free promotional gift and i paid $30.00 for them. wished i read the other reviews i never would have ordered them. now i have to take the time and send them back, i'm not happy at all.

Way too BIG
I have this set of utensils and was very excited when I purchased them.However, after I got them home and put in my utensil crock, I realized how big and bulky they are.They are too long, too heavy and just plain too BIG.and I am in search of smaller red utensils but they are very hard to find.You can find cheap ones in white and black, but not red.I'll keep looking though and retired these Kitchen Aid ones as soon as I do.

Don't immerse in water!
I agree with the other posters about the balance issues, but I have a problem with the handles holding water and flowing out when it is turned right-side-up (my cookies got soaked!)Definitely keep looking.

Too heavy on the handle end
These tools are made of high quality materials, and they look very nice. However, the ends of the handles are so thick and heavy that if you leave them propped on the side of a shallow pot or pan, or on the counter, they are very prone to flip out of the container or off of the counter, carrying food with them to the kitchen floor.
