5-0 out of 5 stars All around excellent oven
I purchased this oven to replace my toaster and to use in place of my large convection oven for daily cooking. So far I have made lamb, steak, and BBQ chicken. All of the meats came out beautifully cooked and moist and tender on the inside. I broil the meats following the cooking times in the Betty Crocker's New Cookbook. Additionally, I made a bagel, which I put sliced side up, increased the darkness by two levels, and used the bagel feature. It came out perfectly and evenly golden brown, better than my previous Russell Hobbs toaster. I do agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have the option to have it turn off when the timer runs out.Overall, highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOL at the bad toaster comments
Doesn't anybody remember the good ole days of using a toaster oven? They're not SUPPOSED to toast on both sides! I'm sorry, but I'm laughing out loud at the folks who've posted comments about this toaster oven not being good because it doesn't toast on both sides. This is a "toaster oven", not a "toaster". Hello!? If you want your toast toasted on both sides, then buy a toaster. lol. What a toaster oven does, is toast the top of things, and it warms things like frozen pizzas, pot pies, casseroles, etc. I've never actually baked anything in one, so can't comment on its baking ability. But this is a good toaster oven...if you use it for its intended purpose. :)

5-0 out of 5 stars I absolutely LOVE this
I'm single and live in a small apartment. I don't like to crank up the oven because preheating takes a good 10-15 minutes, and cooldown just as long. And then there's the fact that it heats up the entire place. Not fun in summer in the South!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased
I am very pleased with this Convection Oven.It cooks fast and thorough and I enjoy the warmer feature.Toasting also works very well. The only negative comment I have is the cleaning of the warmer part is a bit challenging, but this is a minimal inconvenience.Overall, I would definitley recommend this to anyone looking for a qualtiy Toaster Oven.

5-0 out of 5 stars 1/2 Toaster, 1/2 Oven
Very good buy for $85 +free ship. Bought this one to replace a smaller Black & Decker toaster oven that served us very well over 5-6 years until controls gave out (the B&D still works, just have to keep the button pressed in).
2-0 out of 5 stars Good oven, but controls gave out
We like the features and performance of this oven quite a bit.We bought it to replace a regular old toaster oven. The T-Fal toasts very evenly and I can fit a whole frozen pizza in it!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not happy with this toaster - many problems
Received this toaster as a Christmas present in 2004.From day one I was not very happy with it.The knobs and temperature control are difficult to use - sometimes it would bake good, other times it would not.About 6 months ago I noticed the numbers were rubbed off of the timer dial.About 3 months ago the timer dial became loose and it was difficult to set the time.Today the timer dial broke off completely. So I got about a year and a half of poor use out of it.So, don't purchase this product, it is not worth it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Anyone know where I can get a new knob??
I agree with most reviews that the toast function sucks.Although I haven't noticed one side being hotter than the other, a portion of my timer knob chipped and now I have to use a screwdriver to set the time.I've also has a very difficult time toasting nuts! They always get burnt.

1-0 out of 5 stars On fire
Our toastmaster oven caught fire over the weekend. We were lucky that the toaster oven was the only casualty.Of course there was also the mess to clean up after the use of the fire extinguisher. It could have been disastrous.I think we only had the toaster oven for barely 6 months.I will not be buying this model again. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Liked the product...HATED the reliability!!!!!
I'm currently in the market for a toaster oven to replace this one.We went through three in less than 2 years. The first one broke within a couple of weeks and we took in back to the store. The second one broke within six months and we sent it back to the manufacturer (think it cost us $10 to fix). Now the third one broke and we are looking for another manufacturer.

5-0 out of 5 stars What did I do without a toaster oven?
Since I got this wonderful toaster oven a year ago, my big gas oven has gotten very lonely. This little gem cooks and bakes well, makes great toast, reheats great, all without heating up the kitchen. Getting a toaster oven-sized Silpat baking sheet made it even better. Get this! You'll be asking yourself like I have "What did I do without a toaster oven?"

4-0 out of 5 stars Great oven just ok toaster
Great basic oven for heating and cooking. The convection feature really is a nice addition especially if you have a large regular oven and do not want to turn it on for smaller bakes. The toaster function requires almost always using the highest setting when doing any whole grain products-often you have to add additional time not nearly as good as a basic toaster oven. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Unique features in a bad product with lousy service resolution.
I bought a Panasonic toaster oven and I am now planning to return what I have. My first unit worked fine for about 4 months and then the rack mechanism broke followed by the heating element at the bottom. I had to send the unit for repair and then (weeks later) was accused of abusing the unit by the servicer, who then claimed an out of warranty problem and refused to repair it. Weeks later, Panasonic sent me a replacement - but the wrong model; more weeks later, I received the right model but it was damagaed upon unpacking it. It's been three months and I still don't have resolution or a toaster oven, not to mention all the time I've spent on the phone with Panasonic - where some folks are very helpful and some are worthless (outsourcing at its best). I cannot recommend this product and for me, the Panasonic brand is tainted.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good oven - beware warranty pitfalls...
We had had this oven for a couple months when the door would no longer stay shut.I tried jamming a wooden spoon against it to hold it shut while cooking, but found this sort of absurd. So I called Cuisinart for warranty service. They said they'd replace my oven with a new one, but I had to pay to ship the oven to their warehouse in NJ and it would take a few weeks. In the meantime my husband found a set of little magnets at our local craft store, and fixed the problem! So I wasn't going to ship the oven to NJ - until a replacement oven arrived...before I even sent the first one out.Hmmmm.
2-0 out of 5 stars nice toaster unless you want toast
I was given this toaster as a gift.It is a nice looking and does not take up too much counter space. The only problem is that it does not toast english muffins crisp. The bottom element does not get especially hot and after calling Cuisinart I discovered the instructions were incorrect. You must turn the rack so it is closest to the bottom burner. After trying this for a few days and remaining unsatisfied, I returned the toaster and pull out my old Delonghi.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great oven, bad shipping
It's a fantastic toaster oven!I've used it to toast and bake, and everything comes out great... and so much more convenient than turning on the big oven on a hot summer day, just for cooking a small amount of food.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad DeLonghi Experience
We purchased a DeLonghi toaster oven and both the toaster and oven functions stopped working right after the one year warranty expired. We barely used this product. When contacting customer service we were told that there were no replacement parts available for our model and there was nothing we could do and nothing they would do for us. My $20 toastmaster lasted more than 15 years! This is the lsat time I buy a toaster based on appearance!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this one!!!!!!
Door advance feature broke after several weeks. Lower heating element broke after six months. Customer service refused to stand behind the product, stating that the warranty was expired. Note to buyer- warranty is one year from time of manufacture- NOT the date you actually receive it as a gift or purchase it. The knobs on the unit are like a child's toy- cheap and plastic. This is a highly disappointing product- I doubt we will buy another Delonghi product again.

1-0 out of 5 stars I tried to like it
I bought the Delonghi 4 Slice Retro toaster and wanted the matching toaster oven. Wow was I disappointed. I tried to like it but it just doesn't get hot. Also the timer ticks through the whole process. Unfortuntely I had to return the toaster oven to Amazon and recieved a full refund. Thanks Amazon! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars You can have my little silver flash bake oven when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.
I use this oven for cooking everything, daily, multiple times. I love it, I don't know what I'd do without it. It's safe to say I'm maniacly co-dependent with my little silver buddy here. My wife is even addicted now after seeing what all the fuss is about. She mocks me no longer. I used the regular oven to cook an oversized pizza yesterday, once out of the past 6 months, but not first without considering the possibility of cutting the pizza with scissors into smaller chunks to allow fitting into my beloved flash oven. It came out crappy, cold in the middle, and took over 20 minutes. I'll have to buy smaller pizzas from now on, I'll never cheat on my little baby again. I swear.

1-0 out of 5 stars Good while it lasted
This was the best toaster over I ever owned. But one of the infrared bulbs blew after about 4 months.Does anyone know where to buy a replacement?

5-0 out of 5 stars great little toaster oven!
Having gone through our share of toaster ovens in 22 years of marriage, this is by far the best. It's classy looking on the counter, easy to clean, very lightweight, quiet and has alot of options for toasting and baking that make the food come out just as it should. I can't imagine going back to a traditional toaster oven again. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars 4 stars item for a 2 stars price
We have been using our toast ovens everyday for the last 20 yrs or so. We had expensive ovens, we had not so expensive ovens. They all died after several years of services no matter what. So why bother to spend 100 dollars for a machine that just makes a little bit difference? For a $32 machine, this is really a good buy. No complaints so far.

3-0 out of 5 stars Proctor Silex Toaster Oven
It does the job and the price was right. It puts off a bit more heat from the front and through the door than it should....

4-0 out of 5 stars Good value for the dollar
The main thing about this product is it is good value for the dollar. The item is inexpensive and gets the job done with a large cooking area and adequate features. There are a couple of features that could be better, but of course you are going to have to pay more to get them. Such as a less hot to the touch exterior, and as already mentioned, the timer cannot be turned to stop, but the temperature can be turned off, so not a big issue. ... Read more

With digital controls including a clock/timer, this 1,500-watt factory- reconditioned countertop convection oven provides a temperature range of 140to 450 degrees F for roasting, baking, broiling, and even defrosting anddehydrating. 2-0 out of 5 stars not good for this price
This is a decent looking toaster but does not have 50 dollar performance. It toasts very unevenly, even burning parts of the waffle or bread. You can work around this by babysitting your food but that is not what I wanted in toaster oven that is this expensive.I would be totally fine with it's performance had I only spent $20 on it.I returned mine and bought a digital De'Longhi that is about $65 dollars list price. It has the same problem!I'm considering buying a regular toaster and just using my big oven for heating sandwiches etc.

4-0 out of 5 stars A "Hot" Deal
This toaster oven is a great buy.Does the job well, with basic procedures.Good size, not too big as so many are now.The only complant I have is that it gets a bit hot.I don't think it is dangerous, just very hot to the touch when in operation.Make sure that you have lots of space around it and your kids don't touch it when in use.

With the high expense of electricity, it can be costly to turn on a full-size oven for quick toasting and browning tasks. This toaster oven is a simple answer to keep electrical costs down. Use it for toasting bagels that don't always fit in a conventional toaster, or for melting cheese over a favorite sandwich. It can even be used for browning the tops of individual meringue tarts. Standing 13 inches high by 9 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches deep (including the handles), it obviously doesn't require too much counter space. It lets you select the specific elements--there are three: bottom, middle, and top--needed for a particular task. The oven also comes with a 15-minute safety auto shut-off, which is helpful for the busy and easily distracted teenager who maybe preparing their own after school snack. As a precaution, the oven should always be unplugged from the power source when it's not in use or when it's being cleaned. Read more

We've had the super toasty for about one month.Very good for our needs.Toasts very well, evenly and quickly.Perfect small size for our counter.Matches well with our black and chrome applicanes.
5-0 out of 5 stars Cool product!
These days, it's hard finding a simple toaster oven. Most of them are huge, have convection capability and complicated digital displays, etc. Not the Sanyo Toasty. I like it because it's very compact, tall rather than wide, and looks good in my retro kitchen. My husband, on the other hand, thinks it looks like something your dentist would use to sterilize drill bits, but he's getting used to the Toasty's offbeat design. It toasts bread and bagels just fine. Yes, there's no heat setting and others have complained about that. That drawback doesn't bother me. As long as you're not looking to heat up large or long items, the Toasty is fine.

Read more

Features

  • Ideal for toasting, melting, crisping, and browning
  • Space-saver design with 2 levels of racks
  • Convenient 15-minute auto-shutoff timer
  • Manually select heating elements for optimal toasting
  • Measures 10 by 9-1/2 by 12-7/8 inches; 1-year warranty

5-0 out of 5 stars Sanyo SK-7W Space Saving Toasty Oven
I ordered this oven for my parents. They had the same one in the past and was very happy with it.They even bought it for a few gifts. They use it for re-heating pizza, toasting bagels, etc.Never broke in years.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not what I was looking for...
I couldn't tell from the dials in the photo that this doesn't have temp settings, just lo->hi and timed up to 15 minutes.I was looking for an oven that I could set to a specific temperature and it would run until I told it to stop. Also, the bottom level tended to burn anything I tried to make.I quickly handed this off to a friend who was in need of any type of toaster and went back to my $20 model that did what I needed it to.

2-0 out of 5 stars New Sanyo Toasty Bought Because The Old One Was Great
It saddens me to have to say that this is probably the worst piece of kitchen ware that I have bought.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Toaster Oven
This was a replacement for our old broken toaster oven.We loved it so much the first time that we bought it again. It has a large interior, suitable for two slices of pizza or four slices of toast.I have nothing bad to say about it at all. I was so happy to find it on Amazon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best toaster oven I've ever owned
I've owned this for about 3 years and have yet to have a single issue with it. I use this oven a lot... at least 5 times a week.

5-0 out of 5 stars well made oven toaster
i had an oster oven toaster and liked the kitchenaid better because it was more solid, the chrome parts didnt look cheap like other brands.i agree that a small chip of paint came off out of the box, but that was because of the protective tape on the edge for shipping, not necessary.i used a perm black marker, just a dot or two, and it looks like it never happened, big deal, in a couple of months it wont look new anyways, thats life (you must not have kids or pets to complain about this).yes, it would be nice if the timer went longer, but if i wanted to cook something for that duration would use the real oven, duh.i like this oven, it doesnt look cheap (ie, about to fall apart) and i feel comfortable using it.even the oster toaster took awhile to get used to, not all microwaves cook the same either, its called trial and error..practice makes perfect :)

1-0 out of 5 stars Large Disappointment
I used it about three times before I had to return it to the store. The entire over would get hot, including the glass of the front door. The oven rank would slide on its own and fall on the open glass door, spilling all my food...d'oh!The heat was also very weak; it took ten minutes to cook what it takes three minutes on the stove.I was so disappointed because it looked sturdy and I have good luck with their other products.

4-0 out of 5 stars Ideal for those who like a soft touch
Well, I finally broke down and spent the 'big' bucks for toaster oven in search of one that can make me great open faced sammiches. It has been a quest folks and one I'm unsure is over.Having said that, I think that I quite like this item from Kitchenaid despite its large size and gentle heat.First off, it is large, or larger than the average bear so make sure that you have the counter space for it before making that purchase. This large size ties into one of the things I really like about this oven which is that it is well insulated and thus its outside surfaces remain relatively cool to the touch when in use.Its large size also instilled in me the realization that this thing really is an oven and not just a horizontal toaster. Thus I've used it to heat up things small frozen pizzas, and fish sticks, etc. with excellent results (tho necessarily for times longer than directed on the food box indicating a lower heat than indicated on guage). This latter point leads into what I believe many people will have a problem with, to wit, that the heating elements do not produce a very intense heat (thus it is quite possible that the thing actually heats to a slightly lower temp than on the guage), which results in toast only lightly toasted after 5 minutes of heat. This mild-mannered heat production takes a little getting used to but here in the early stages I have to say that, on the whole, I am quite pleased by its gentle nature. To be sure about this I broiled both lamb chops and a nice steak just to see what would result. No surprises, I'm sorry to say, just a nice even, gentle, heat which caused both the lamb chops and the steak to be cooked right through. This is not a good thing, however, as I like my steak to be rare to medium rare, and I want my lamb chops to be thoroughly cooked but with a nice crispy char on the fatty bits.In other words, this oven is prolly not going to work well as a broiler for anyone who wants a little character to his meat. The flip side of this is that any meat one does broil or cook in this little number is going to retain its juices and be quite succulent and toothsome at the end of the process. To wrap up, I can't speak to the finish but I would like to address the fit part:The oven door on mine has a little quirk that causes one to have to jog it to the side a bit to ensure that it closes. This is an aggravation more than a defect but something that may be common to all of this model number. Finally, some of the things I really like about this oven are the ticking timer which lets me know that things is happening, the timer end bell which lets me know that things is no longer happening, the lack of excessive external heat generation and the front loading crumb tray.Stuff I'm not so crazy about is the fact that there is only a single slot for loading trays so one can't get one's meat closer to the broiler elements, the funny door closing quirk and the humongo size. The thing that I'm on the fence about and which actually sums up the character of this product is the gentle, even, something less than fierce heat generation of its heating elements. Thus, if you drive a Honda Civic you'll prolly really like this thing, if you drive a Dodge Magnum you're gonna hate it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and Reliable
This is a great utility microwave. I've only had mine for a couple of months, but it does all the basics that I bought it for: reheating and making popcorn.
4-0 out of 5 stars Serves its purpose well
I purchased this microwave as an addition to my dorm room. I would have liked a high-powered microwave, but restraints on space and money stopped me. For the price and for the size, this microwave works rather well. There are some extra functions, but I just use the regular microwaving. The only thing that I do not like about the microwave is that its internal rotating dish is not very stable, and is prone to shifting off its base with even a slightly unbalanced load. Even so, it was a worthwhile purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Solid Product
It does what it says and it does it well. It's easy to use and performs like a champ. I'm very pleased.

3-0 out of 5 stars Is It Convection or Not?
I purchased a Krups FBC2 toaster oven as a gift last Christmas. The person I gave it to, loves it!And it is indeed, a convection oven. Now I want to buy one for myself but I am confused.I see that Amazon.com offers the FBC1 toaster oven at a cheaper price. The Amazon Product Description states and I quote... "Its convection heat, which is ideal for longer baking times, circulates heated air around the food for faster, more even cooking results."I went to the Krups website and I can't find anything that states the FBC1 is a convention oven.Maybe an owner of the FBC1 could write in and clear this up.Is FBC1 toaster oven convention or not?Thank you.

5-0 out of 5 stars FINE SO FAR

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love This Oven
I purchased this oven about 5 months ago and I use it almost every day.I hardly ever use my conventional oven anymore. The rotisserie feature is absolutely great. I've used the rotisserie for chickens, roasts, pork chops, etc..they all come out amazing!I've baked chicken and pies and cakes, I use it as a toaster and the broiler is also phenomenal. I love that you can clearly see the food cooking through the glass door. The only thing I don't like about this item is the grill on the top. It's small and messy and easier just to use a frying pan.The door does get hot, but not any hotter than the door on a conventional oven. It's not made out of the sturdiest materials but if you're not rough with the knobs and you don't slam the door, it will be fine.I personally love this oven. It's made my life a lot easier when it comes to cooking. ...
