For at least six hours, coffee, tea, or soup will remain hot. Lemonade, iced tea, or sports drink will remain chilled at least 12 hours. The bottle is compact (9-1/2 inches high, with a 3-inch-diameter bottom) and handsome. A band of soft, nonslip black rubber encircles the comfortable, ergonomically shaped, satin-finish exterior, ensuring a firm grip. Excellent Thermos!
I purchased this for my daughter who is in full-day preschool/daycare. She drinks a lot of milk during the day and I wanted to make sure it didn't spoil quickly. I fill this thermos the night before and put it in the refrigerator. This thermos is in my daughters backpack from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. If there is any milk left in the thermos at 5:30 p.m. when I pick up my daughter, it's still cold even though it's opened and closed probably 5 or 6 times during the day for snack, refreshment, lunch, etc. It's unbelievable.
For that second cup you need three or four hours later...
...this is the perfect flask. Small enough to drop into a b-case or carry bag, this bottle is just right and made to last. I bought Nissan's stainless-steel, insulated French Press for making coffee on camping trips and overnights in hotels that lacked decent coffee services. I was so impressed by its design and construction that I jumped at the commuter's bottle here. Glad I did!

Makes the Trip into Manhattan easier
When I purchased this item, I was skeptical of the results. I've had others that leaked (even though they were leak proof), others that didn't keep my coffee/tea hot for more than 20 minutes, and still others that just weren't big enough to quench my coffee thirst or wake me up. I realized that I needed something new, I needed a larger travel mug that was actually leak proof and kept my drinks hot. I finally found it. The briefcase bottle is large enough to give me hot coffee for the entire 1 hour trip into work. Sleek, Scandinavian Look
I make a full pot of coffee (12 cups) in the morning and use it over two days by keeping it in the Alfi Avanti Carafe.The Avanti holds 10 cups and does a good job keeping the contents warm.I usually heat my poured cup of coffee in the microwave because no thermos keeps it as hot as I like it.The screw-on lid is a little difficult to use, but there is a convenient trigger on it for pouring, so you only have to fight with the screw cap when filling or emptying the carafe.The Danish design looks great.I prefer the colbalt blue because it does not show coffee stains like the lighter colors do.It's best to use a bottle brush with some baking soda and dish detergent and let it soak overnight.You cannot put it in the dishwasher. ... Stylish and Useless
I'm not quite sure if this product could even be described as a thermos. It looks like a thermos, to be sure. It has a lid and appears to be insulated. However the lid does not actually form a seal. That's right--jostle, tip, or shake this container and liquid will seep out. I've used it several times hoping the leakage was a fluke caused by poor lid-screwing on my part, and each time it's failed. An additional drawback is that since the lid doesn't seal, the liquid doesn't stay hot or even warm. So even if you plan to leave it on your counter, I would recommend another product altogether, however the sleek styling might tempt you.

More form than function-sadly
Bought this at a local shop on sale but had been eying it for awhile due to the cool modern styling.I reminisced about the performance of my Dad's old beat up thermos.Still steaming hot after all day at an outside chilly job.This model is pretty but not up to snuff.If you are taking it to work and go from heated place to heated place you may be fine, but it can't take very much cold before giving up on your beverage.A long ride to the beach in March and it didn't even get me a few hours into the trip- bummer. ... Excellent design - Easy to Use
I have been using this 3 part filter for a couple of years at home and am ordering one to use at the office.I've long since discarded my electric coffee maker.I heat the water in a microwave and then pour it into the filter assembly on top of a cup.This filter can brew a single cup or several cups at a time, depending on the cup or carafe.It has an extremely well thought out design:The cone portion has a handle that is very convenient to grip.The inner cone is ribbed to allow filtered coffee to flow down the sides of the cone and into the drain hole.The lower part of the cone is a drain tube that mounts into the adapter plate.The adapter plate has been thoughtfully designed to rest on top of a cup one way, or 'plug' into a carafe when reversed.When the adapter plate is set to rest on top of a cup, the cone's drain tube protrudes just far enough past the bottom of the adapter plate so that it serves as a 'stop' so the cone/adapter assembly can't slide off the cup.This has prevented quite a few accidental spills.Cleanup is fast.Discard the paper filter (size #4) and simply rinse the cone and adapter in warm or cold water.Set them on the drip plate to dry (I place the adapter plate inside the cone to air dry, but it can also be set on the drip plate).The drip plate has a ribbed mounting post which facilitates drying of the interior parts of the cone.My filter is white and has only a mild coffee discoloration after two years of use.This is obviosly a very carefully designed filter.And it makes terrific coffee. ...
