Well worth the money!
This is a great appliance with so many uses.We've had our dispenser for several years and use it almost every day.We've never had any problems with it. Highly recommend this product!!

very handy
Had this for over a year- we use it not only for boiling water for tea, instant chocolate or soup, but dispenses boiling water for use in cooking- much hotter than tap water. Also, we have taken it to a remote site with electric but no running water to get hot water for food & hygeine. The magnetic plug falls off the machine easily when you move it but this seems to be a safety feature- otherwise a tightly attached cord might make a pot of 208 degree water tip over! Some people are way too miserable to be tea drinkers!

Works great for me
I think this product is very well designed, it's simple and it works.On some of my cheaper teas "not all the leaves are whole" I was frustrated at how the little slits did get clogged with tea leaves.But I found that it was easy enough to clean with a business card, by running it through the slits.
Hard to clean
I picked this up recently and tried several varieties of loose tea in it.The bottom line is that tea does get stuck in the one that I own.I have tried a couple of methods to get the tea out to no avail.It might be hard to see from the picture, but the "holes" for the water are actually slits in the bottom around the bottom rim of the infuser.The slits are actually sickle shaped and the tea gets caught in the narrow areas.I imaging that differences in the cuts would either make or break this product.In my case they make me want to break it. ... I had one of these
I must say that for the price, this is a very versatile item.I actually figured out how to cook spagetti in it.First you boil the water, then put in the pasta.Set it to the warm knob until tender.And you can also heat up your sauce.A real lifesaver on weekends when the university cafeteria was closed =-).I was really sad when it stopped working, but it lasted me through my first year, until I moved out of the dorms.

Expensive but worth the price!
Many Asian households have this appliance but non-Asians seem to not know about it.This is a convenient way to always have boiling hot water at hand for making tea or instant ramen and instant soups.While the typical "American" electric tea kettle requires you to plug in and boil water each time it is turned on (thereby necessitating a wait of at least 3-5 minutes), this water heater boils water and keeps it boiling hot for days until you dispense all of it and have to refill/reboil it.I have found it very useful to have a personal water heater at my office desk (where it is the envy of all my colleagues - yet somehow they are resistant to buying one themselves due to cultural suspicion), and also one at home.One caveat is that since it is constantly plugged in, it may use up a lot of electricity.Also you have to be careful of children accidentally dispensing it and scalding themselves (this model has a "lock" button).Lastly, you should never immerse the appliance in water and it is certainly not dishwashable.The Tiger model is not cheap but it is a high quality, well-made appliance that will last for years. ... Cannot Imagine LIfe Before it
My family loves this product, we have had it for over a year and it is best thing since sliced bread. We enjoy it for instant oatmeal in the morning, hot cocoa, hot tea when we come home in the evening. There is no waiting. We use this for everything, even cooking couscous for dinner is a snap. Great Product.

Great for cup o' noodles
If you want hot water at your disposal, this is great.If you eat a lot of cup o noodles or cup ramen, this one can already provide you with hot, almost boiling temperature water.I think it'd be great for tea addicts and those to-go soups where you just add hot water.A bit pricey, but thats how the made in Japan Zojirushis are...worth it..also, look to get descaling pellets so that after you use it for a while, you can clean it out and get the fresh taste back and get rid of the chrlorine. ... tea drinker
The Rowenta electric kettle is a good product for the money.It boils water fast, separates from the base and is light weight.The only slight flaw is that the button to open the lid is located on the lid.If you open the kettle while it's hot you run the risk of a burn from the escaping steam.

Now THIS is a good kettle!
Elsewhere I gave a negative review to a Bodum electric kettle that malfunctioned early on. Finally we junked it and replaced it with this Rowenta, which both looks and works great under daily use from a household of tea drinkers. It's considerably more expensive but worth the extra money.

This is a fantastic kettle.Once the water boils (it starts boiling almost immediately ,) the kettle automatically turns off; this was the selling point for me (well okay, red is my favorite color!!) because sometimes you just forget to turn off appliances.

Best Foreman Bagain Ever!!!
This set usually only comes around once a year and every year I grab it as it is a quality deal. For a gift or personal use this grill does it all. Hold 2 average sized burgers and grills everything else reasonably well. The toaster is an average good one and having the water warmer is an extra plus although I only use it once a year. The big deal here is the price so go for it.
