This thermo pot automatically boils a full container of water in 25 minutes when plugged in. However, it is equipped with a microcomputer for more automated and electricity-reducing operation and can be set to start boiling either 6 or 10 hours later as well. Great for making tea
I have the 3.0 liter version of this for about a month.It is great for making tea, hot chocolate, or ramen noodle.A full pot will reach 208F in about 20 minutes.The timer function is also useful; activate it before going to bed and you will have hot water for making tea in the morning. Very nice.I stayed at a hotel in Japan that had one of these in my room. It was nice to be able to brew fresh tea or coffee anytime I wanted since this pot keeps water at the perfect temperature as long as it is plugged in (which was all the time at the hotel).If you are a coffee or tea snob, you know the importance of having the right temperature water. I could make a cup at a time or more.This model is perfect if one or two people will be sharing it.I'd recommend the larger size if three or more will use it.The push button dispenser means you never have to tip the unit or anything like that...just hold your cup under the spout and push the button. Vinegar for electrics.
One person reviewed the Proctor Silex electric kettle and rated it poorly because of difficulty in cleaning.I tried CLR once, on the recommendation of the instruction manual with my own electric pot, and got the same results.....none. Big Flaw
This kettle does its job really well but it has one big problem with it - there is no way to open the container to clean the bottom of the pan. In about 2 months of use, my kettle got scaly lime deposits and it was disgusting to use the water in the kettle after that. I tried cleaning it with CLR but nothing came out and I had to throw away the kettle. If you are in the mood for a disposable kettle you can go for it but otherwise stay away. ... Read more

A great LITTLE kettle
I was given this kettle as a gift and have had more use out of it than any other kitchen appliance in my house. I use it every day, three or four times, and have never had it boil over, boil dry or short out. It has no exposed element, so it is easy to clean (a little vinegar in water once a month prevents calcium build-up). After two years of daily use, I now have occasional problems in that it does not begin to boil even when the pilot light indicates it should be boiling. I dismantled it, rethreaded the wiring and now it works perfectly again.

Fantastic electric kettele
I had this kettele for over two years how and just ordered another as a gift. The kettele is fantastic and eazy to clean due to the wide opening on the pot. I just cleaned it for the first time after two years with some CLR cleaner because it had a very little yellow buildup on the bottom.Now it looks brand new again like it just came out of the box.

A qua;ity stainless-steel hot pot heats up in a hurry.
I bring my lunch to work every day and I enjoy eating both homemade and canned soups and stews. I was on a mission to find a stainless steel hot pot(not plastic or aluminum) to heat up these foods quickly. This is it. It also washes out easily and quickly. Be sure to read the directions for use (on what you can and cannot heat up). Good price especially for the quality. I just noticed that this is currently unavailable thru Amazon. What a pity, I hope they bring it back.
