The most useful thing
I bought my Vacu Vin set about 4 years ago and it's still working perfectly.It's so easy to use and it does preserve the wine flavor for at least a few days.We no longer have to finish a whole bottle in one sitting or risk a spoiled wine.I've recommended it to a few of my friends and they all say they can't live without it now.
Waste no more wine
I had ruined several bottles of wine before I tried this wine saver.By removing the air that causes wine to go bad after a short time, I am able to enjoy it and know that in a week's time it still tastes as good as when I opened the bottle.It works effortlessly and the "click" sound tells me that the air is removed - so simple and quick!! This was a great idea and it works for me.No more wasted wine.

We used it at our wedding which was a great help, but ...... one of the black rubber parts that goes in the bottle accidentally got tossed with the bottle. A DEFINITE crowd pleaser!
I purchased one of these as a gift for someone, and as soon as it hit the counter, the Bartender was a smash hit at the party. Everyone was asking about it. Watching the shots drain out and refill sold a few others on it, as well. Works terrific. Not quite sure about washing the detachable compartments yet. Gunk in your wine?
This is the solution.Since I am not very responsible about turning the bottles in my wine collection, there is often some sediment with which to deal.I don't really want to serve my guests "chewy" wine, and this funnel/strainer solves that problem with great style.You'll love how it pours down the side of the decanter.The strainer and funnel are two separate pieces, making cleaning up a snap.

One of my favorite wine gadgets!!
I have been using my Concerto for several months now, and I am a raving fan! I drink wine frequently, but seldom finish a bottle in one evening. The Concerto is so easy to use to "vacuum-pack" your leftover wine for storage in the fridge. The unit makes a little chirping noise when the vacuum is reached, so it's foolproof to use. Wine stays fresher longer, and I am a happy enophile! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I'm delighted with the functionality of this product. While doing an excellent job in bottles with openings that correspond to the stopper's measurements it is, however, too narrow for bottles with larger openings. A major shortcoming I found is that the black plastic material on the top of the stopper tends to break when closing the lock. The Vacu Vin system for food and wine storage is pretty amazing--while some wine lovers debate its merits for saving wine, you just can't argue about having extra-crisp cereal after a month of storage. Specially designed rubber seals are centered in the lid of each storage container--you fit the vacuum into the seal and pump the handle until it becomes too difficult to continue. At this point, all the air has been removed from the container and you can be assured that fresh food is well protected. The wine seals work in a similar manner, except the rubber seal fits directly into the bottle. Results here are mixed--some folks insist that there's no difference between the sealed bottle and one left open, while others insist that the sealed bottle provides a major improvement. Not as big
I purchsed this item a while back.The canisters are not as big as I thought.The only change I would recommend is the size.Can't fit much into them.

White top canisters 3 stars as to the 5 star smoke color
The food saver system is great. Youwill notice there are two different style containerswhite top clear sidethen the other typewhich are see through but are in a smoke colorplastic . The white top one's lid goes down into the container just a little bit to seal which I find a little hard to open not badbut a bit of a pain . The smoked color onesthe lid sits flat on the top extremely easy to open and in my thought by far the better style. You also find the mason jar attachment a great value . Buy the jars by the case and seal flour rice and such in them very inexpencive method of storage(the smallest mason jar is freezer safe but it is real small a cup I think ). The flat/square marinade continer in the smoke coloris a lot more useful than you would first think when used for refrigrator storage . I hardly ever use the bags as compaired to the containers . So I avoid the white top containersbuy a round of the smoke colored ones and mason jars attachments (I think I have used only the larger one (wide mouth jar size )). Instead spending your extra cash on extra bags . If you got to have bagsreal quick remembersears and walmart stock them .

In a hare's breath
Metrokane Rabbit Lever Vacuum Pump works with the majority of wine bottles. The trick is to force it tightly down to the top of the wine bottle and hold it down while pumping back and forth very slowly until you feel the vacuum take effect.

Inferior item
I purchased the Rabbit vacuum pump in December, 2003.I have used it several times a week since then. One of its flimsy plastic arms broke several days ago. I tried to contact its parent company, Metrokane, for several days since then. I've tried telephoning them several times and all I get is voice mail.I've sent them an e-mail without response.I've since purchased a Vacu-Vin Concerto pump and I am very happy with it. It creates a much better vacuum than the Rabbit Lever Pump. It costs less ($19.95 vs. $30.00)and I bet the company is more responsive. In general, I think their products are inferior. Their wine opener is much less expensive than comparable bottle openers such as the Lever-Pull, but they break and the Lever-Pull lasts. ... Read more

These don't expand to fit all wine bottles
I previously had a chrome wine stopper purchased from another store, but it was damaged by falling into an active garbage disposal, so I bought these as replacements.The previous stopper had a thick rubber part that created the seal.The rubber sections on these are so thin that they didn't even seal the wine bottle I first tried them on.All three stoppers in the set had the same problem.
