Editorial Review

When mixing up big batches of cookies or bread with a KitchenAid mixer, you don't want to have to stop to wash the bowl. An extra bowl to fit the mixer is a welcome addition to a kitchen arsenal, and this bowl earns its place in the cupboard, because it will also be used as a versatile mixing bowl independent of the mixer. It's made of thick polished stainless steel with a brushed steel interior and a flat base to rest securely on the counter. I has a sturdy handle and two brackets for fitting into the mixer. Its superb quality will last through a lifetime of cooking. Read more

Features

  • Additional bowl for KitchenAid Pivot Head stand mixer expands the mixer's flexibility
  • Polished durable stainless-steel exterior, brushed steel interior
  • Flat base keeps bowl steady and on counter and reduces spillage
  • Dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning
  • Works with any Kitchenaid Pivot Head stand mixer; one-year warranty

1-0 out of 5 stars K45SB Replacement Bowl is what I got.
I was really excited about finding a replacement bowl for my kitchen aid mixer.I bake 3 to 4 cakes a week. However, this bowl isbeing advertised as KithenAid K45SBWH, the WH meaning "with handle".I received the bowl without a handle. The handle is a very important feature to me.The advertisement is erroneous and very misleading.I was very disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered.

5-0 out of 5 stars WhatWas I Waiting For !
I have needed an extra mixing bowl for ages but couldn't justify the $50 price tag so when I spotted it here for $30, that was a good incentive to get one. Sure makes things easier when you don't have to transfer ingredients and wash the bowl in the middle of mixing a receipe.

5-0 out of 5 stars Does what it does, and does it WELL
I needed a bowl, and gosh darn it, this fit the bill nicely. An added bonus: makes a great piece of headwear in a pinch. ... Read more

Editorial Review

One of the most useful sets a kitchen can have, these three attractive stainless-steel bowls with snap-on lids can be used to mix sauces, beat eggs, let milk warm to room temperature without the cat getting at it, store cereal and snacks, take fruit salad on a picnic, and even serve a green salad at the table. Matching the color of the lid, each base is coated with food-grade silicone that gives the bowl excellent traction on a countertop. Read more

Features

  • Set of 3 mixing bowls with snap-on lids; 6, 3-1/2, and 2-1/2 quarts
  • Great for mixing cookies, tossing salads, and serving fresh fruit
  • Made of 18/10 stainless steel with brushed body and mirror-finish band
  • Non-slip, food-grade silicone base to prevent slipping
  • Dishwasher-safe; covered by lifetime warranty

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Quality - Would Purchase Again!
Contrary to the other reviews regarding the lids not fitting, I have had NO problem with my lids. The lids fit great, tight, and the way they are supposed to. You SHOULD NOT put the lids in the dishwasher though. (As with any lid) Bowl quality is excellent and non skid bottoms are excellent as well. It doesn't appear that they will come off...Sizes are PERFECT! Highly recommeded product for the money! I would DEFINITELY purchase these as a gift for someone! The inside is like a brushed steel look - awesome!

4-0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOWLS, AWFUL LIDS
Like the last reviewer said, these lids don't fit--at all! The largest bowl now has no lid for it because it kept popping off and in trying to force it to stay on, it ripped about an inch right through the curved sealed area and into the center. I bought these bowls for four reasons: 1. They're food grade stainless steel; 2. They have non-skid silicone bottoms (works great, too); 3. They came with lids for storage; 4. Ease of portability to family gatherings, picnics, etc.
4-0 out of 5 stars misfit lids
I picked these out for my birthday and hubby purchased them for me. The lids do not fit well. So poorly, in fact, that the lids just come off by picking up the bowls and moving them. I filled one bowl with water, put the lid on, and held the lid on with both hands. I turned it upside down over the sink and the water just poured out, even with me trying to hold the lid on. They just don't fit at all. I do really like the look and sizes of the bowls. The rubber bottoms work well to keep the bowls from sliding around. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful bowl, but misleading item description
This bowl is lovely, but that doesn't fix the fact that it doesn't fit in my Kitchenaid Accolade. The first line under "Features" here on Amazon reads, "Works with any KitchenAid Pivot Head stand mixer", which the Accolade IS (a pivot head mixer). But this bowl does not fit in the base of the mixer, it is to narrow, so it doesn't lock in place. So be sure to check the quart size of your mixer before you purchase this bowl.

5-0 out of 5 stars JUST THE RIGHT SIZE MIXING BOWL
The bowl arrived in perfect condition and came quicker than expected.I like the size.It is great for mixing smaller amounts. A lot of times the 5 quart bowl that came with the mixer is just too big.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great size bowl for counter use.
I bought this bowl because one bowl for the mixer just isn't enough. Turns out I just LOVE the size and it looks better than bigger one I think since my mixer is out for all to see. Great size for simple cake mixes and things of that nature. Kind of a lot of money for just a bowl but worth it. ... Read more

The first bowl you'll reach for when mixing morning pancakes or banana bread, this stainless-steel bowl is especially useful when working with ingredients that should stay chilled. Simply pop the bowl in the freezer for a few minutes before using, and your cream will whip much more quickly. The sturdy lip of the bowl makes a firm grip easy to maintain. This bowl is really designed to be a true kitchen workhorse. It holds up well to a variety of temperatures, and you can pop it in the dishwasher as necessary. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great deal, nice bowl, sturdy construction
While I wasn't willing to plunk down $80 for an overpriced All-Clad mixing bowl, I was looking for a stronger than usual, commercial-style mixing bowl, sturdier than what is typically sold at say, Target or Bed Bath & Beyond.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great design...great price...great all around
This is a wonderful item. Before I had this one (and the same one in another size)I only had plastic bowls. This one is so much better on alot of levels.5-0 out of 5 stars Cool Bowl
I never thought I'd gush about a mixing bowl, but this one is great.I bought it as part of a deal with the Whirley Pop popcorn popper and I love this bowl. This is a thicker and heavier stainless steel than all my other bowls.Because it is heavier, it is less prone to move or tip over. All mixing bowls are not created the same, and this one is clearly one of the best. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Not for ALL 5 Quart Stand Mixers - Make sure it fits yours!
I bought this for my wife as a gift. We have a KG25H7X 5 Quart Professional HD Mixer, purchased (and probably only sold) at a major warehouse club where things generally don't Cost too much. Because it was summer and we weren't doing much baking, it sat in the cupboard for the better part of six months. When we finally did have a need for a second bowl, we were shocked to find that it didn't fit our particular model of mixer. It comes close, but it is obviously a slightly different diameter.
5-0 out of 5 stars Be VERY CAREFUL...
I have a KitchenAid 5-Quart Professional Stand Mixer (bowl lift type, and not an Artisan) and I ordered this part only to find that it did not fit.Upon contacting KitchenAid I was told that the correct bowl for my mixer is the KN25WPBH (polished stainless) or the KN25PBH (brushed stainless). The KN25WPBH and the KN25PBH fit mixer models that start with "KG".At the time of writing this review the bowls that fit my "KG" mixer were, unfortunately, not available through Amazon.com.I am not exactly sure which series this K5ASBP bowl fits because this bowl is not even listed under stand mixer accessories at [...].

5-0 out of 5 stars All-Clad Stainless 3-Quart Mixing Bowl - Love it!
These are the best mixing bowls I have every used! I use at least one or two every day. They have a nice handle so you can get a good grip on it. The polished stainless steel is so beautiful you could definitely use them to serve as well. I find I use the 1.5 quart for mixing sauces or beating eggs and the 3 & 5 quart sizes for cake mixes and fillings. I also have the 7 quart that is a must have for making meatballs. They do not have any rubber on the bottom and I prefer them this way.I think the rubber bottoms are bacteria collectors and shorten the lifetime of the bowl.I have an oxo rubber bottom mixing bowl that I never use, I actually store my hand mixer and attachments in it.4-0 out of 5 stars The Best but Overpriced
I investigated all the mixing bowls at local stores and on-line, and the All Clad ones are the best.1.) Many other bowls roll the top lip over to increase strength.Unfortunately (as with my old bowls), water and other grime collects or dribbles in the rolled lip.All Clad bolws have an edge that is flat and doesn't do this. They use thicker material for strength.2.) The All Clad bowls have a handle attached. This is so much better for beating, whisking, etc., since you get a good grip on the bowl.3.) The All Clad bowls are highly polished which makes them easier to clean, and you could even serve in them since they look nice.4.) The All Clad bowls have a nice shape.Others are too shallow so stuff slops out when mixing or are too conical not allowing you to mix. These bowls are nicely shaped like a half-circle.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not exactly well designed...
A lidded metal mixing bowl is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately, after one trip through the dishwasher, the plastic lid no longer snapped on. There are similar bowls available from Williams Sonoma (more expensive, of course) that have recessed lids... making stacking and storage within the frige a much easier chore. These will do in a pinch, but simply are too low quality for a permanent home in my kitchen. ... Read more

The All Clad bowls have a handle attached.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this bowl!
I have several pieces of All Clad.I love this little bowl! It's great for mixing brownie's, eggs, pancakes....etc.I have other bowls, but, this is the one I reach for. You're buying with confidence when you purchase All Clad. The name speaks for itself, quality! You will not be disappointed.

1-0 out of 5 stars Does not worth the price.
This bowl is made of gold, sorry, platinum. Oh no! The quality of this SS bowl is very high. Why giving it one star? There is no virtual difference between this bowl and quality SS bowls sold for less than 20% its price. ...I am picky when it comes to bowls. I use them a lot and drop them from time to time. Save your money and do not support such companies selling their products at ridiculous prices. Do not believe their products are better than others. They are very good but do not worth the price. Shop around and your will see other products even better than All-Clad products at less than 25% their price. They are pricing their products like if their customers are the Pentagon and the defense ministry.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
This line of handled bowls from All-Clad is wonderful!I first purchased a three bowl set (5, 3, and 1.5 quart) and then discovered these smaller one quart bowls as well as the biggerseven quart bowl.I have found the handles to be extremely useful, especially when tossing salads, mixing batters, or doing any other task the requires a person to hold the bowl steady.Read more
