The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections, the Stainless line provides serious and professional cooks all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between layers of stainless steel is a thick core of pure aluminum that spreads heat evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides. The interior is 18/10 highly polished stainless steel, so it's stick-resistant as well as stain- and corrosion-resistant. The exterior is gleaming, magnetic stainless steel that works on induction as well as conventional stovetops, and, with care, remains beautiful during this cookware's lifetime warranty against defects--and beyond. 5-0 out of 5 stars Not a chef but works good
I'm not much of a cook but I like quality things and for the few times I used the pan the food came out great. Caramel sauce in other pans get burned all the time but the one time I made it in this pan it turned out smooth as silk.

5-0 out of 5 stars All-Clad Stainless 8-Inch Fry Pan
My wife has said she always wanted some high quality cookware.I bought her this one piece of All Clad for her birthday as start. She loves it.I like to use it too. It is a fry pan that does not have teflon coating, but follow the directions furnished and you will have not rouble keeping it clean. It cooks very fast and even on a very low heat setting.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Breakfast and Lunch Pan
I usually cook for one and this pan is just the right size for a couple slices of bacon, sausage or a burger.I also use it when infusing oil.

5-0 out of 5 stars Even Heating
This pan heats up evenly, no hot or cool spots, and the handles stay cool. It's great for cooking bacon or scrambling eggs.Cuisinart recommends not turning the heat up to High, and so far, it hasn't been necessary.Very good value.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Pan, many uses!
I was looking for a middle of the road stainless steel pan set.I ordered many pieces of Cuisinart's Chef Classic Stainless last year for Christmas, and I have yet to be disappointed. It's heavy without being unwieldy, it's versatile, and cleans like a dream!I'm working on completing my collection!
5-0 out of 5 stars Great product

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Pan.We use it almost every day!!!
This All-Clad 12 inch fry pan is a staple in our kitchen. We use it almost daily. It heats evenly, food browns beautifully, and it cleans up great. We've found ourselves buying more and more All Clad pans despite their expensive price. They are worth it.We now eat better meals and they are actually easier to cook in these pans.A pan that heats and cooks evenly takes away the frustrations of cooking. When we aren't using this pan we are usually using it's cousin the non stick version (we like that for things like chicken parmesan that use cheese). We use this pan for things like pork chops or t-bone steak that we sear on the stove and then transfer to the oven to finish cooking. We love that this pan goes from stove to oven seamlessly. We also use this pan when we're browning meats and then making sauces from all those yummy brown bits for dishes like chicken marsala and beef burgundy. It also works perfectly for sauteeing shrimp or vegetables (we use it to saute sliced squashes and bell peppers often). We highly recommend this pan.

I have owned this pan for several years now, along with many other All-Clad pans. I love them.Pricy yes, but once you buy them you never have to replace them, which makes them comparatively cheap! (in price only, not in quality)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great deal
I am an avid cook and decided it was finally time to throw out my old beat-up non-stick cook ware. I purchased 2 sauce pans, and 3 saute pans from this line. All of them cook fantastically. I had to set my range on pretty high heat to sear anything in my old cookware. With these pans medium heat is all you need to get a nice sear on steaks, chicken, burgers, fish, or whatever you may be cooking. Preheating time was pratically cut in half, You can put them in the oven without worry, and clean up isn't bad at all. For the price amazon is selling these pans at, you're crazy if you pass up this line of cookware. 5 stars without question.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good skillet
I like this skillet vey much. It cooks on very low heat.
4-0 out of 5 stars Smaller than I thought.
First, the pan is great.Cooks just as well as the other Calphalon stainless steel pans.It has a good balance and will keep in contact with the heating element (unlike other lighter pans).

5-0 out of 5 stars nice size & heft
I have the 10 & 12 inch millenium and like them both. The 8 inch is a good size for a single serving or to saute mushrooms. The sides are higher than I expected which is great. The skillet doesn't feel flimsy at all. I don't put any of these nonstick skillets in the dishwasher. They don't need more than a quick swipe with a regular sponge to clean up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful pan.
The size of this pan is perfect for anything I cook..not too big, not too small. The handle is comfortable to maneuver and seems well balanced with the pan size. Don't know the affects of wear and tear yet but hopefully if I wash it carefully as instructed, it will be just as great to use after a few years as it is now. Great deal for the price!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's an All-Clad!
Heard on the news that teflon may be a cancer causer, and since all my frypans had that teflon coating, and having eaten meals cooked in teflon for many years, I couldn't wait to rush out to get a "naked" one.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best
Cleans up easily. Heavy to lift but is an excellent pan. I purchased this pan for making gravy out of scrapings from cooking meat. I find that I'm using it for many things even in place of my non-stick pans.

1-0 out of 5 stars OVERPRICED, HATE THIS PAN!
I can't believe someone uses this pan to cook eggs! I have tried several cooking oils and butter, and everything sticks to this pan, making it very difficult to clean. My husband won't even use it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Product - Just Love It
Pros:
1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
After cooking eggs this morning and having a layer of egg stuck to the whole pan, I'm sad to say that my non-stick pan sticks. We've had this pan for maybe 8 months and I just assumed that pans lasted for several years. We even bought this pan plus the 8" for my mother-in-law for Christmas. What a disappointment.Better begin research on a new pan...and I'll make sure to read the reviews.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware!
When I first bought this pan I was replacing a pan from a moderately priced set from Costco. That pan lasted about 3 years and I got my money's worth.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good price/value ratio
Durable stainless steel pan that retains heat well due to thick base; low energy needs.Handle is metal, but have had no trouble with heat transfer.

4-0 out of 5 stars Even, precise heat, great contours for flip-stirring
I love cooking with my frypan since the heat is so even and I have precise control of the crispness or degree of doneness. I also found that the shape of the pan worked well for flip-stirring, and for flip-plating omelets. I can't say that I've had a pan that popped corn so beautifully (with my old revere dome lid). Every kernel popped, it required small amount of oil/butter for large panful; and no scorching.
1-0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart from Macy's
Ordered from Amazon, shipped from Macy's. Ordered Stainless pan, received wrong one with a non'stick surface which I did not want. 5-0 out of 5 stars BAM!!! What a great frying pan!!!!
First and foremost, let me say emphatically that I am NOT a chef. I'm not even a very good cook. Heck, I don't even watch The Food Network! But I do like a good value for the dollar, and I'm sick and tired of replacing skillets every year or so. So, one lesson I've learned in life is that you get what you pay for; therefore, no more $9.99 frying pans for me.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good cooking, but...
This pan works well for cooking purposes. Its heavy bottom stores and distributes heat well, and it seems like it will hold up well over time.
5-0 out of 5 stars Emerilware
This is one of the best frypans I have ever used, and I have been cooking for over 45years.No it is not non-stick, but if you heat it up first and then add a little oil it works great.Cleanup is easy, I am a little fussy with my pans so I do use some stainless steel cleaner each time so it keeps looking like brandnew. My next purchase will be the saute pan! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Good line of pans
For almost two years I've had several sizes of these pans. They have good weight and balance, are very easy to clean quickly, and are reasonably priced.
2-0 out of 5 stars fell apart
I bought this pan a few years back. This morning while cooking breakfast the bottom piece separated from the rest of the pan. i loved this pan but now it is useless. The way it is constructed they basicly welded the bottom piece on and it is not on there forever. beware!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little frying pan...
I had initially purchased the Simply Calphalon wok at Target and was so enamored of its non-stick surface that I rushed out to get this small frypan. It's the perfect size if you live alone and only need to make one serving of eggs in the morning, or perhaps you need to caramelize some onions for some dish you're making, and don't want to haul out the giant frying pan for such a small job.

1-0 out of 5 stars annoyed
I bought this pan due to the reviews and the price. I cant understand the praise. Everything sticks.I used butter and I used oil to no avail. To be fair, I am accustomed to nonstick pans thus the 1 star. However, all I want to do is make eggs and not worry about a detailed cleanup. I have no use for this pan and it is in the garbage.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Pan!
I use Calphalon commercial hard anodized and wanted to try out stainless steel. This pan seemed the ideal way to do it, given the price and the manufacturing pedigree (All-Clad).The first time I used it I fried ham and scrambled eggs in it using less than 2 Tbsp of butter.Very little stuck to it, and clean up was about as easy as a non-stick pan.Use a Dobie pad as recommended and you'll have no problems.I won't trade my Calphalon for stainless, but having said that, it looks great, heats evenly, and cooks like a champ.Well worth the $20.Give it a try and leave the Wear-Ever non-stick behind.

Editorial Review

The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections, the Stainless line provides serious and professional cooks all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between layers of stainless steel is a thick core of pure aluminum that spreads heat evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides. The interior is highly polished 18/10 stainless steel, so it's stick-resistant as well as stain- and corrosion-resistant. The exterior is made of gleaming, magnetic stainless steel that works on induction as well as conventional stovetops, and, with care, remains beautiful during this cookware's lifetime warranty against defects--and beyond. 1-0 out of 5 stars Extremely Disappointed
I was very hesitant to spend close to $160 on a single fry pan, but I had heard so many good things about All-Clad and thought it would be a wise investment. For the first 6 months, the pan was great.I loved the large size and used it often.I was just about ready to invest in an entire set of All-Clad cookware when my pan warped.I was using it on an electric stove as usual, and the pan just simply warped.I was thoroughly disappointed that a $160 pan would warp during normal use.I won't be spending this kind of money again.
5-0 out of 5 stars Up to its usual excellence.
Superior feel. Cooking results were as advertised. I am very satisfied and will continue to seek out all-clad products.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great pan!
Yes, it's a REALLY big pan!A perfect cookware addition for the serious cook.Surprisingly, the pan isn't as heavy as I expected and is a manageable size.It will easily saute 6 to 8 chicken breasts at once without crowding and is perfect for large batches. It heats evenly and lives up to the All-Clad quality I expected.Easy cleanup, too!Highly recommended. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Decent pan/wok
I just used this pan on my smooth-top electric stove. The base of this pan fits the small burner on the stove.I imagine that the cast iron wok is the best type to use, but I didn't want to go that route. Now, when I was looking for a stainless steel type, I focused on how the aluminum was placed in the pan; either just in base, or up the sides as well. The Calphalon stainless steel wok, has the aluminum up the sides (the All-Clad does as well, but not in the same price range), but no lid.I chose this model, but I was concerned that the wok would not get hot enough without the aluminum in the sides. As I suspected, the sides did not get hot, and when I lifted the pan to toss the food, the sizzling slowed or stopped, indicating the pan was not retaining the heat (that's where the cast-iron shines).I tried to remedy the problem by closing the lid, and letting the vegetables steam a bit.The food came out fine though, and I'm not sure how important the sides need to be hot, since all the food in a wok generally does not touch the pan at the same time anyway, and gets tossed or stirred (thus the title "stir-fry").Nothing stuck to the pan, and clean up should be easy.To sum up, I don't believe that this wok will be used by any professional chef, but might be good enough for the home. ... Editorial Review

This larger frying pan is from a line of the most distinguished cookware in and outside of France. Professionals rely on the superior heat conduction and durability. For the home cook, the surgical quality stainless steel offers a lot of eye appeal along with high performance. The warp-proof pan bottom is three layers thick with a thermic copper core, the best metal for conducting heat from the flame to the food. The long handle stays cool even over high heat and it's welded to withstand the oven, broiler, and dishwasher cleaning. The polished finish will stay shining, long after you've mastered the art of sautéing without the aid of a spoon--just like the pros. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sitram stainless steel fry pan
Excellent quality and performance. Even cooking, easy clean-up, and quick heating. Heavy enough not to "move" while stirring or loosening pan drippings. And the really nice thing is you don't have to worry about toxins leeching into your food from non stick coatings.I have been most pleased with this pan.

4-0 out of 5 stars Close but no cigar
There's something about fry pans or skillets that do not make them universally useful. Unlike a saut? pan or a saucier that can hold lots of food, by design you just can't overload a skillet and expect it to work. Its angled low sides are engineered to release as much moisture as possible when frying so you can get a crispy outer layer.
5-0 out of 5 stars top of the line and made in France
I worked in restaurants for many years before going into the federal gov't, and good pans or bad pans would show their true colours over time.
