great cheesecake out of this pan
i saw this pan on a cooking show.when i saw it on amazon, i had to get it.it is the best springform pan i have used.the edge makes it much easier to remove the cake off the pan, and put it on a plate.

Great pan...good design.
I am a pastry chef, and this is the pan I use every day. In fact I am ordering four more tonight. Since the pan is dark, if you are going to bake for a long time, I suggest you line the pan with Reynolds non-stick foil. I do for ease of de-panning, but it also helps keep crusts from overbrowning.
The perfect cheesecake pan!
This pan is the best cheesecake pan I've used. My cheesecakes bake evenly and NEVER leak (I bought it to replace one that cost the same amount but leaked all over my oven). Highly recommend. I've never had anything burn on the bottom, so if you have that problem, have your oven calibrated, or make sure you put the pan in the center of the oven - not too close to the heating element. My cheesecakes come out perfectly every time. I will never buy another brand!

Bad idea if you are thinking cheesecakes
I thought the four 4.5 inch springform pans would be equivalent to one 9.0 inch springform pan.After all, the areas are equal, i.e. 4 * 2.25 * 2.25 * pi == 4.5 * 4.5 * pi.I thought I could use the recipe for a 9-inch cheesecake and have 4 4.5-inch cheesecakes that tasted the same but were a more convenient size for giving as gifts.
Kaiser La Forme Mini Springform pans w/stencils
The springform pans are as I expected form Kaiser products but the stencils are "cheesy", being made from thin cardboard or plastic. These stencils will not last long. Having chosen Kaiser because they had stencils with the pans was a waste of money. Choose cheaper set and make your own stencils.

for years of baking enjoyment
This is a superb product, and the only springform that I have ever bought that lasted this long. I bake a lot, and I have had this for more than five years now - never leaked or deformed. This is a heavy-duty product and the cake carrier is extremely useful as well. A minor complaint is the fact that the plastic dome of the cake carrier does eventually crack, especially if not cleaned very carefully. It would be great if that were available as a replacement accessory. The spring mechanism to put the carrier in place is great and fool-proof and has never let me down in years!

Improvements
Having used German spring forms for more than half a century I would not hesitate to purchase this model. The buckle on mine has never given trouble provided it is cleansed after each baking. The fit of the spring side to the bottom on this stainless steel model should be far more reliable than on my unit which is made of aluminum which is apt to be deformed allowing minor leaks of batter. I would recommend that a plastic insert be included with this product so that the stainless steel base can be protected from being scored when the cake or tart is cut prior to serving. The plastic would be placed between the base and the baked product after it has cooled. Another enhancement that the manufacturer could add would be a cone that could be attached to the base so as to convert the form of the cake from cylindrical to BUNDT form. ... Read more

Great for individual cheesecake gifts
I bought these to give gourmet baked cheesecake gifts for couples or individuals, where a full size would be too much.. These are the most fabulous little pans ever.. I baking cheesecakes using the water bath method.. I still wrap the bottom in foil, a little water bubbled in to the foil but they did not leak water into the cheesecake. My full size doesn't seal as tightly as these. It sometimes leaks even though I wrap in foil, which can cause the crust to become soggy... These little pan are also good for the left over batter when making a full size.

Don't bother
My hinges also rusted on the first washing.They look awful.It was a waste of money and time b/c now I have to find a better set.

Not what I expected of Kaiser
I looked forward to receiving these, since Kaiser's such an established name in bakeware. The hinges rusted on the first washing! Otherwise, they are more flimsy than I thought they would be. Leaks with cheesecakes
My issue with this pan was that it leaks. Instead of my cheesecake batter remaining in the pan, it ended up on all over my counter. I have never had any trouble when creating this cheesecake using my Ekco springform pan but I wanted a taller cheesecake. I should have known "if it's not broke don't fix it." Lesson learned.

I love these things!
These pans are great for making any type of cake or baked goods, but they are a must for cheesecakes, in my opinion.I received the shipment very fast, and promptly used it to make two cheesecakes that night!
Suitable For Baking in a Water Bath?
Genarally a good, durable cake pan, and works well, if the cheesecake recipe calls for a crust, and the usual oven baking.Water leaks in though when the empty pan is placed in a water bath, which a particular cheese cake recipe (no crust) required.Perhaps water might not have leaked in if the pan were already filled with the thicker batter, but I did not want to risk it, and so simply used another cake pan. ... Makes Cheesecake a Breeze
Many people see cheesecake-baking as a frightening art second only to souffle-baking in its mysteriousness and perils. However, with the right pan it's incredibly easy. For me, the Kaiser La Forme springform pan is that pan.
The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Cheesecakes!
If you are tired of leaky springform pans or flimsy ones that warp the first time you bake in them and rust almost immediately, this Kaiser pan is made for you. I cannot say enough good things about it, from its weight-- it's quite sturdy-- to the little lip that runs around the outside bottom of the pan that prevents leakage. Such a totally practical device! And this pan is very easy to clean, unlike some of the others with those grid-like bottoms. It is not inexpensive, but then you get what you pay for. One of the nicest things to happen to cheesecake baking since the advent of the food processor.

Smart, Practical Design
I bought this springform pan based on the recommendation of several trusted sources, including Cook's Illustrated magazine. (They actually tested the model with handles--had that one been available I probably would have spent the extra money for it, but as it is I haven't found any significant inconvenience to the lack of handles with this model). Good idea, poor quality
I think the glass bottom is a great idea, but the first time I used it, the caramel sauce I poured in quickly leaked through onto the countertop.I thought I had not put the bottom in evenly, but on closer inspection I found that the ring does not close tightly around the glass bottom; it is not even snug.This may be a manufacturing flaw in the pan I bought, since others have not reported the problem.

what is leakproof ?
I bought this pan because it's leakproof. I thought it's perfect for cheesecake( because of waterbath ). Am I wrong? or I got the defect one. I poured some water in this pan, and water leaked. When I let this pan waterbath, water came inside this pan.

Crock pot cheesecakes!
I got this pan for making cheesecakes in a 5 quart round crock pot.(There are recipes for these on southernfood.about.com in the crock pot section.)This a good pan for this type of recipe!It's an unusual size, more than mini but less than full size.It's a great size for one or two people.(Standard recipes and pan sizes always make waaaaay too much for the small household.)
