Does the job .... could be better
After six years of use, my trusty Pampered Chef large mix 'n scraper was feeling lonely for companionship.On a whim, we decided to try the Le Creuset brand of spatulas ... mainly because it was available in green (to match my Kitchenaid mixer).This very large and flexible slotted spatula certainly does the trick, and I am sure the that the head will hold up quite well over time. The only disadvantage of this scraper over my old Pampered Chef is that you have to remove the wood handle for washing instead of being able to plop the dirty mess into the dishwasher.Maybe it is dishwasher safe .... I just don't want to test the theory.I am a little baffled by the removable wooden handle and hope that the wood holds up as well as I expect the head to.I am glad I tried one spatula first before buying the crock of spatulas.Maybe someone will come along and enlighten me on the reasoning for the removable handle.Meanwhile, I am headed back to Pampered Chef for more of their heavy duty scrapers. ...
