Unlike the 3110, this one weighs objects only up to five pounds (2 kg), but does so in 1/8-ounce increments. When switched to metric, the scale measures up to 1 kilogram in 1-gram increments; then up to 2 kilograms in 2-gram increments. Food and other items can be weighed directly on the six-inch wipe-clean platform (there is no removable cover) or in a bowl; the scale automatically adjusts to zero for the bowl, while the add-and-weigh feature means different ingredients can be added one after the other by pushing the on button in-between each ingredient. It's Great!
I have owned this scale for about 7 years and just in the last year had to replace the battery.I have not had any problems with this scale.I am a baker and have used it to measure solids and liquids.

Measure fast or start over
I used this scale for one (frustrating) day before returning it. The scale has an auto-off "feature" that is supposed to automatically turn the scale off after one minute if there is a zero reading or after three minutes of displaying the same weight.However, when I tried to measure a few ounces by slowing adding a dry ingredient into a cup on the scale, it would turn off before I reached the desired weight.I added the ingredient slowly when I approached the desired weight, but it certainly didn't take any where near 3 minutes to do this before it would turn itself off.Then I would have to start all over again.It took me three attempts to finally weigh out the ingredients.The auto-off problem didn't occur as quickly when trying to weigh out a larger amount of flour (14 ounces) when the flour was added in larger increments, so perhaps the problem is more severe with lower weights when adding small increments of ingredient.But, the experience was so frustrating I packed the scale up and returned it the next day.I would much prefer a switch that allowed you to turn off the auto-off "feature" and turn the scale off manually between uses.This may shorten the battery life somewhat if one forgets to turn the scale off, but I'd rather buy more batteries than suffer through trying to weigh out ingredients multiple times. ... I've used one of these for over ten years so it gets a star for every year of hard work. The pin got a bit dull a few years ago and now the locking safety device is jammed but I dare you find as useful a tool for $1.70. Just unlock and punch the fat end of your egg before boiling and the eggs won't crack. The attached magnet keeps it handy, right on the side of my frig.EEEEK! Just canceled my order on this. I realize they have to pay someone to drop this in a padded envelope and pay postage but $8.70 is a bit much for an item that costs $1.70.Product is still great. ... Read more

BIG scoops
We own an ice cream parlor, where we make our own homemade ice cream.We've always bragged about "Enormous scoops - ridiculously good" but we had to put TWO balls from a regular dipper on the cone to make what we felt was a serious (5 oz.) scoop of ice cream.No more - the Zeroll 4 oz. scooper allows us to overscoop to 5 oz. in one ball, easy.It's HUGE and looks tasty as all get out, but it does tend to scare young mothers and old women.

This item is scary
When the ice cream scooper arrived it was nice and shiny. After one use and wash all the coating peeled off in a scary grey blackish residue. My 5 year old daughter freaked out when she tried to use it to scoop herself some ice cream as the scooper left this weird residue on the ice cream. She only ate a couple bites and then told me about it. I am taking her to the doctor to make sure she is ok. SCARY ... Read more

Best. Scoop. Ever.
My wife and I were given this scoop nine years ago when we got married, and this scoop is going along as strong as we are.The handle contains a fluid (water? ethylene glycol? no one knows) that keeps the ice cream from freezing to the scoop, and the difference it makes is truly amazing. I have developed a habit of shaking the scoop a few times between "scoops", which (in my own mind at least) improves scooping performance, accelerating the transfer of heat from my hand to the scoop.
