Silicone bakeware is hard to believe; for many, it takes an act of faith to use it for the first time. But after that, it's hard to remember using anything else. Easy to use and clean
This pan really brought the level of my sconemaking up a notch.With a little cooking spray the scones slipped out of the pan wihtout any noticable breakage, and the bottom and sides were golden brown and crisp.A winner!

Growing up in rural Kansas as a boy I remember spending the best Sunday mornings of my life baking scones with my Grandma Nancy. We made scones of all shapes, flavors, and sizes. But usually they were in the shape of scones.Upon pulling the toasty scones out of hte oven we would set them on the windowsill to cool.Occasionally one of the pesky neighborhood rascal kids would steal them, and Grandma would send me off to find out which one it was. I'd find the kid a little while later leaning up against a maple tree and licking the blueberry paste off his lips. Right around then I'd clobber him with my right hand, and, well, it wasnt long before he was licking the blood off his lips. One time I had to chase away a crow whose wingspan must have been at least 3 feet long!I nearly had my eyes pecked out that day! Upon leaving Kansas I spent eighteen years of my life searching the globe for the perfect scone pan. I needed one that would keep my scones warm, yet be cool to the touch. My intense dedication to this endeavor resulted in the alienation my wife and children on this journey but it was all well worth it when I found the perfect scone pan in Budapest. It was this one. worked well despite the other reviews!
I was wary about using this pan after the bad reviews about pro form nordic pans, but my cake turned out very well!I followed the sunny sunflower cake recipe on the packaging, and was quite pleased with the result!The edges were not razor-sharp (as it would have been with a cast alum pan perhaps), but the shape clearly followed the mold!Here's the secret - using a pastry brush, completely brush the pan interior with vegetable shortening.Then follow through with a spray of baker's joy.
The Sunflower that never blooms
It is a beautiful mold, and I was excited to make a cake in the shape of a sunflower. I am a pretty experienced baker, and my success rate, even with tricky procedures, is very high. In five attempts to use this cake pan, each ime increasing how slavishly I greased and floured the alleged "non stick" surface, and being careful to remove it per the instructions - after cooling 10-15 minutes on a rack after removing from the oven, I never got it out in one piece. The mold's detailed corners are too sharp to cleanly release the cake. I even tried letting it fully cool in the hopes some shrinkage would help get the cake out. I own other Nordic Ware pans and have had better luck with them, but this particular mold is a loser, which was very disappointing considering how pretty it could potentially be if it worked. Worked Well
I develop pound cake recipes and have always used metal pans. I bought this pan on a whim from Target. It works very well. I use a flour-based baking spray and my cakes brown very well and cook evenly, with a full crust. I have used this pan numerous times and each time the cakes received rave reviews. Because of the flexibility of this pan, use care when placing the pan with batter into the oven. I have not had any issues with this pan, but I have been careful. I love it!

performedbetter than expected
My sister got me interested in silicon baking pans. At first I felt anything that was THAT GOOD was probably unhealthy. (along the line of "how much teflon have I eaten over the years?" where does the teflon chip TO? ..my innards- ugh!"
what a mess
Well, I'm all for easy clean-up & new technology but this one just didn't work for me. Let me say that I do own the muffin pan - which I love. This pan is another story. I thought the cake was done but when I took it out of the pan, it was not. I even used the tried & true toothpick method to insure the doneness (?) of the cake. Also, removing the cake from the pan is definitely a two-person task. I tried going it alone & wound up with the cake in many, many pieces. It would be impossible to get this cake into the oven if it were not on a cookie sheet or something similiar. At least the muffin pan offers a sled to aid you. ... Read more

Great Non-stick Pan
I'm a novice baker and didn't have any problem with popping the cake out.I just coated it slightly with magarine, dusted with flour, and then pour the batter in.I think I'll try without the magarine next time and see.

frustrating
Gorgeous heavy pans very even browning.Darn near impossible to get out of the pan in one piece.Have tried these pans four times once with PAM once with PAM and flour Once with grease and Once with Grease and flour and have never managed to get more than one out all in one piece.Maybe better luck with professional baking spray that combines grease and flour?Hope to get these to work they are so pretty and are a really nice size ...
