Bad idea if you are thinking cheesecakes
I thought the four 4.5 inch springform pans would be equivalent to one 9.0 inch springform pan.After all, the areas are equal, i.e. 4 * 2.25 * 2.25 * pi == 4.5 * 4.5 * pi.I thought I could use the recipe for a 9-inch cheesecake and have 4 4.5-inch cheesecakes that tasted the same but were a more convenient size for giving as gifts.
Kaiser La Forme Mini Springform pans w/stencils
The springform pans are as I expected form Kaiser products but the stencils are "cheesy", being made from thin cardboard or plastic. These stencils will not last long. Having chosen Kaiser because they had stencils with the pans was a waste of money. Choose cheaper set and make your own stencils.

Great and esay to use
Really heavy pans, easy to use. First cake came out perfect!

a great novelty pan
I used my pan for the first time today and was quite pleased with the results!I expected that I would have to make it at least twice to figure out where I went wrong.It worked quite nicely the first time around.I would offer these tips to help make it easier.While I did use the box's recipe, you really do have to pay attention to what "half full" really is when you put the batter in.I was a bit short on the white batter on the last pan, but was able to dip out a bit of the chocolate batter to make it nicely even.Also I used a cooking spray on the divider on two of the cake layers and did one without just to see and it was much better with the cooking spray.I also decided to use a large piping bag for each of the batters to help me to fill up the rings.It seemed much faster that way.My checkerboards came out perfectly!I was really pleased!I might add more chocolate next time.I wish that there were 3 different dividers to make it faster, though.

Wonderful Transaction
I was very pleased to finally find the checkerboard cake pans similar to the ones my mother used to use when I grew up.I started thinking about them, looking in department stores, etc. and no one had them.I looked on the web and saw Amazon had them so I asked my daughter in DC if this was a good website.She assured me it was so I proceeded to order.It was only 3 days later I received the pans and they were much better quality than I had ever expected.Amazon and this company - Chicago Metallic Gourmetware Non-Stick (Checkerboard Cake Pan Set) deserves much credit!!!I will continue to go to Amazon for items I want to buy.THANK YOU!!!!!i'M 60 YEARS OLD!

Great Light Weight Cake Pan
Although this pan is surprisingly light weight, it's wonderful for upside down cakes. There aren't as many pineapple molds as there are pineapple slices in a 20 ounce can (which the included recipe calls for), but you can easily work around it. The enclosed recipe for upside down cake makes a very heavy, moist cake, but the batter was a little unsweet for my taste, so I added extra bwon sugar, and I will definitely use this pan and recipe many, many more times.

Works well when used as intended - not for heavy protein cakes
As some of the reviews below reveal, this cake pan was manufactured to be used for the traditional pineapple upside down cake.it performs as intended when you use a standard store-bought mix or common recipe for upisde down cake.If you get all experimntal and use heavier flours with far more protein content, you cake is gonna stick.if you must use a custom low-carb recipe, you are better off making your cake in a rectangle pan.

An Outstanding Bundt Pan!!!
I am a Regular bundt baker. I have always used just the basic joe-schmo bundt pan...no biggie. With this Nordic Ware Rose pan, Oh my gosh! It just fell out with no effort on my part. With my other pan, I had to heavily grease and flour...and just pray it didn't stick too much. With the Nordic Ware, I lightly brushed with oil, and like pure heaven, my bundt came out so perfect! It cooked so evenly, and the inside so moist...such a huge difference, especially when it's with the same recipe that I have always used. I just love it! Last night, I bought 3 more Nordic Ware pans...the Poinsettia, (for the holidays), the Heart, (Valentines), and the basket weave with the fruit imprints on top. I know these pans are not cheap, BUT the quality of these pans, for me, makes all the difference in the world!

Must use Baker's Joy!
I have used this pan 4 times, and have finally perfected it on the 4th attempt.I swore that if it stuck on my last attempt that I would through the pan out the window.The first several times I only greased the pan and the cakes stuck 3 of the times.The key is using "Baker's Joy", a cooking spray you can find in your local grocery store or through the Nordicware website.This spray greases and flours in one.I used it last night and my cake literally fell out of the pan--it was wonderful.It also made the pan cleanup 100 times easier.Also, you can only fill the pan 3/4 of the way or it will spill over.

This pan does not work
I have tried to use this pan over and over, and it does not work.I have coated it with every type of non-stick grease I could think of, and the cake completely sticks every time.It even takes 3 - 4 washings in the dishwasher, plus hand scrubbing to get the pan clean again.I keep trying to get the pan to work because it was an expensive gift from my daughter, but I've given up. ... Makes Bloomin' Beautiful Cakes!
This Nordic Ware bundt pan made a beautiful cake.This pan has a ten-cup capacity so I would caution new users to use about 2/3 of the batter of your full sized cake recipe in the pan and use the remainder for a couple of cupcakes in order to avoid overspill (I learned this the messy-oven way).The cake rose well and uniformly; the batter baked evenly, the chrysanthemum design was clear and sharp when the cake came out of the pan, and the cake was a golden brown. The finish on the pan helps the cake to separate evenly from the pan without sticking, but Nordic Ware recommends "Baker's Joy" as a flour/oil spray-on and I agree with them that it is a handy product to use with this type of pan and it cuts down the time it would take to smear shortening and distribute flour evenly into the configurative design of the pan.I usually top my bundts with powdered sugar or a glaze, but this didn't need any further embellishment.I would recommend Nordic Ware Bundt pans to anyone who would ask.

I bought this in a store, basing my purchase on the picture on the label.The cake on the packaging wasn't baked in this pan -it was baked in the more expensive cast aluminum pan.I find this dishonest, and it was definitely a waste of money.

Incredible Presentation!
I have been wanting one of these pans ever since I saw them in the store.My husband surprised me with one for Christmas and it is great!I used a tasty pound cake recipe and it turned out perfectly.I was nervous about releasing it from the pan after baking, but it came out so easily.I did spray the pan and put flour on it before baking.Since it came out without any effort, I think I might actually eliminate the flour next time so it looks even prettier.I plan on buying more of these for gifts and I also would love to add more to my new found collection!These pans are fantastic!

Sunny and beautiful!
I saw the lovely design of the pan and I HAD to buy it. I love to bake and I like to present my creations as well as possible, this pan makes this task a breeze. If you just use a plain recipe it will look awesome when it comes out of this pan, every detail comes out perfect, it is almost too beautiful to cut (that is actually what happened with the first cake: mum didn't dare cut it). It is really sturdy and made to last a lifetime, so I guess it is worth its price, even if I wish the Nordic Ware pans could be cheaper, so that I could buy the entire collection!

Easy to wash!
I've tried 2 casseroles in the silicone pan and the food cooked more quickly than glass bakeware plus it was so easy to clean. The silicone doesn't hold odors or leave stains. It has taken me only a few minutes to clean the pan vs. 15 minutes to scrub glassware with baked on sauces.. and I did use cooking spray.

Doesn't work for cake
I have made three cakes in this pan and there is no way to get the center of the cake done without burning the edges.Things do bake faster, but the edges are done long before the center, and the net result is a partly ruined cake, whether you go for a done center or perfect edges.Read more
