Great pot!
Just the right size for a lot of things---from chili to a brisket to boiling macatoni. Although not as heavy as regular Calphalon products, it's still a great addition to my pots and pans. I haven't tried using it in the oven yet but it's been great for everything else I've made in it.

A great pot, but a little small for pasta.
Excellent craftsmanship distingishes this pot in terms of quality, but it is a little shallow to cook more than one package of pasta at a time.

Was Great At First
I have had two of these for a year now and after using about 3 times a week,I can tell a difference in performance.Mostly used to cook breakfast,you know the healthy stuff,bacon,eggs and hashbrowns.Foods are starting to stick a little.If they stay like this,it'll be O.K.I can only envision what happens to teflon pans,because that's all I've had in the past..getting worse,but these are not teflon.

Best I have ever owned
I have owned all types of crepe pans and this is the first one that has been perfect.A perfect crepe everytime. No need to to do anything but put the batter on and let it cook. Slides right off like butter!!!

This pan is the best!!
I ordered this pan after having crepes at a resturaunt. I researched and almost ordered the other one that you turn upside in the batter. But opted for this one at $10. So I ordered it. It arrived in a few days. I just tried it this morning. I have not recieved my crepe recipe book, so I searched on line for a basic crepe recipe. It was so easy! They didn't stick and they were bigger then the resturaunts! I filled them with strawberries sweetened with splenda, and bananas. Then fat free whipped cream and more straberries and banans. I drizzeled with a little chocolate syrup for looks. My 12 year old loved them!! But, we could only eat one each!! You won't regret this purchase!!!

Couple of problems
Whether it was because of shipping or a manufacturing defect, the pan came a bit scratched.Also the handle is almost parallel to the pan, which makes grabbing the handle difficult when the pan is on the stove.The handle should be angled higher, so you can get your fingers around it.Also, the inner surface is less than 10 inches in diameter, which seems to be common from reviews about other crepe pans.

Far and away the best and easiest popcorn!
For years, I used an air popper -- but would have never bought it had I known about the wonderful Whirley Pop. It is light and easy to lift, and pops the world's best popcorn, WITHOUT ANY UNPOPPED KERNELS!Although best with coconut or peanut oil, plain old canola oil does just fine.Also, if I add salted butter to the pan with the oil and popcorn, I don't even need any salt -- and need A LOT less butter than I did with the air popper.Also, with the air popper I always had many unpopped kernels, and, no matter how careful I was, had popcorn all over the kitchen.No such problems with this ... It is WONDERFUL in all respects.HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION.

This makes great popcorn
I purchased the Whirley-Pop a few weeks ago and it makes very good popcorn, but you have to be careful not to keep the heat on high during the entire popping time.I put the heat on high to start the popping and then turn it down to medium. If you leave it on high the popcorn burns and sticks to the bottom of the popper. I think it would be very good if the popper was made in a heavy stainless steel, it wouldn't be so apt to burn.However, this being said, it makes great popcorn and the wire stirrer keeps the popcorn moving. Every bit of popcorn popped.

Really glad I bought this
I don't like popcorn, but my family does, and I started to dread the smell of burnt kernels stinking up the microwave from popcorn popped in those paper bags.Nor did I want to sacrifice my All-Clad saucepan to pop plain popcorn on the stovetop.I bought the Whirley Pop on a whim. This smoker works great. I've smoked chicken, potatoes, homemade pastrami(yum) and even some cheap salami lunchmeat. It really adds wonderful flavor to anything and is so easy to do. Clean up isn't the easiest but is still worth it. I give it an A+.

I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
The fryer with lid is definitely the best choice for me.My first fry was hamburger.Then I boiled off the burnt bits, wiped off the ash, oiled the bottom and placed in the oven at 350 degrees for one hour. I hope to finally make pancakes, scallion cakes, injera, pa jeon and more burgers.I didn't know how pretty and perfect this fryer was until I saw it for myself.Cast iron shapes have never moved me not even to make my own bibimbap but the proportions of this fryer are very pleasing.I hope more people will buy this variation with lid and maybe they will become enamored with cast iron and enjoy the full benefits of cooking with it.I just tried an omelet in this and it browned it more than my paper thin wok but it still did the job.This is a versatile version indeed.

Versatile and well-made
I bought this one because I was looking for something to fry various things in without the pot warping (as stainless steel pots do). Since I got this pot, I have been using it to cook all sorts of dishes--soup, stew, reheating rice etc. It's big enough to hold enough fried rice, for example, for 4, and I can pop theentire pot, lid and all, into the oven to keep warm. But it's not so big as to be too heavy to handle.

canning kit
great kit however the book that comes with the kit needs some work. The photos in the book are NOT accurate with the descriptions. I recommend that if you need canning instructions or recipes you get a separate book.

Fagor canning equipment
I have been canning for over 30 years and have canned several thousand jars of vegetables and fruit.We fed our family primarily from the garden and orchard of our 2.5 Ac. farmette. I have used Mirro, Presto, All American and Fagor equipment.All have their pros and cons.You can use pressure cookers to can.The problem is that at 15lbs psi (at sea level) your string beans will be better for the local nursing home residents than 3 bean salad. Of course if you live in the Pyrennees (Fagor is made in Spain) or an altitude calling for 15lbs to get 240 deg. that's what you want.The 10 qt duo pressure has a fixed choice of 8lbs (not 10) or 15.8lbs only gets you to 234.4 degrees (unless you live in Death Valley or the Dead Sea area).The bacterium which secretes the botulin toxin is killed at 240 according to the USDA. You also need the high temp to kill certain enzymes in certain foods like creamed corn which everybody with a freezer freezes today instead.But I have not had a problem with the string beans at 8 lbs.As for the tomato/onions/bell pepper/garlic/basil mix, my wife starts cooking this in the afternoon so all the bacteria is dead by the time I come home. I can it by boiling water bath (have canned over 1,000 qts.) to kill the airborne yeast in the headspace.Fagor makes quality products, even though the people writing the instructions have never canned in their life. This kit fits the 10 qt. unit. If canning is new, ask around at church or a retirement group for help.It's more fun and easier to learn that way. -Canner from Lancaster Co., PA

I love the funnel! Very sturdy and durable. The canning rack fits into one of my smaller stock pots which is nice for smaller batches. This is a nice set. They include a book with some recipes and color pictures. Beware if you've never canned before, The pictures under the "steps for pressure canning" were taken by someone who had no clue. Step 2. shows jar of food with someone removing bubbles, step 3. wipe rims of jars... shows empty jar turned upside down with someone wiping it, step 5 shows how the magnetic lid lifter works... except they are using it after the ring is on!. Keeps it clean
I hate having to scrape remnants of soups and beans and other things that are caked on to the walls of my microwave.I picked up this little number and I am very pleased.I can officially put down the degreaser, for this cover will shield my microwave from all outside threats.It's just one of those little things that makes your life easier.

Not so sure about the preseasoned finish
Earlier today I noticed all of theLodge Logic SKILLETS in a local store were chipped or had some peeling on the handle....When I opened my new Deep Fry Kit I notice the same flaw on it....I think it has something to do with the pre seasoned finish and they way it is applied.The pan desserves high marks for performance.

Makes great crepes but not a perfect unit
I made my first batch of crepes last night, and I am happy to report that they were very easy to make. Why not 5 stars then? I agree with other reviewers that the chord becomes easily entangled. I had to stop three or four times throughout the batch and untangle the chord. Other than that, each crepe only took about 40 seconds to make and were delicious, using the basic recipe from the manual. Another issue I have with this crepe maker is the dipping pan that is included as part of the set. Besides being made out of plastic, it is oddly shaped: mine actually appears to have been through the dishwasher because it looks a little warped. Also, when I got to the bottom of the batter, I was afraid, like another reviewer, that I was melting the plastic into my crepes. A better chord design and a glass dipping pan would make this unit merit 5 starts. I would still, however, recommend this crepe maker for its price and ease of use.

I bought these as a gift to myself and love them. They're great for serving fajitas on or putting in the oven to make a nacho. The skillets come with a recipe or two and are easy to clean even after sitting the night. The wooden plates keep the table cool and the grips are all you need when its hot.

Work like a Chinese wok on my ceramic cook top
I have bought a new Whirpool flat ceramic cook top range and have been searching a wok/ or wok alike that would work on this flat cooking surface.Most of the Chinese wok have a round bottom and won't work with this kind of cook top.I have been using the normal pan for stir frying but it is not the same as a wok.Well, THE SEARCH IS FINALLY OVER.I found this Simply Calphalon Nonstick 12 inch fryer the last trip to Bed Bath and Beyond store.It was on sale for $31.99 and I have those $5 off coupon they sent to my house.So the total cost was $26.99 plus tax.Not bad at all for a 10 years waranty.The lady there told me if I EVER unsatisfy with it or if it scratch before 10 yr waranty, I can just bring it back to the store and they will give me refund or a new one.I am so happy.
Highly recommended
I never thought a thing about cookware and bought the cheapest stainless sets I could find. Then I bought a Calphalon pan and was just amazed at the difference. When people write about their food heating evenly, they mean it. You only have to heat to "medium" to have what "high" would be on a cheap pan. The whole bottom of the pan stays hot--even the parts that aren't directly on the eye. But using them will spoil you and it will be hard to use anything else. This fryer is a nice, big size (and remember, the whole bottom stays hot)--perfect for almost any food. I agree with the person who wrote that it was limiting for them to call it a "chicken fryer". You will use it for a lot more than that. Well worth the money.

Requires Patience
Works as advertised, after some experience with the product.The key to using this properly is finding the correct "toasting height" above your heat.Like a real fire, too close and your mallow will be burning.Too far away and you will be there forever.As another reviewer noted, the toasting area is small, so you will get at most 2 people toasting at the same time.Still, this is a fun product for indoor smores creation.

Bamboo Steamer
It works very well, BUT... It smells like bamboo every time you use it.I have tried washing it with lemon juice and even left it outside in the sun for a week, with no luck. Any suggestions?

Ugh
I bought this pan as a Christmas gift for my husband.It would have been easier if I had just put a match to my money and burned it.He has given up using this pan.He even read the directions thinking he was doing something wrong.Every egg he placed in it stuck to the side of the teflon rings.What a shame.The only use would be to throw the rings away and just use it as a regular pan.Don't waste your money.

Where've you been all my life?
I was very pleased with the impressive quality, design and function of this egg poacher. The eggs came out PERFECT. They popped right out of the cups. No messy clean up. Also, the generous handles to pick up the cups were not overlooked; they were so easy to pick up with an oven mitt. No fumbling with a fork to get the cups out like with some other egg poachers. The beautiful brushed stainless steel pan and glass lid were also extremely well made. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally find the perfect poacher!
