5-0 out of 5 stars Great price and great quality
These pans arrived quickly, and are a solid, nice size item.Great for small meals, particularly if you are cooking for one.Great price for 3 pans!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lightweight, Excellent heat distribution, Easy clean-up
I'm thoroughly impressed by this set of inexpensive skillets: each of the three are the right size for my use:Small skillet for nice round pancakes, larger skillet for general stir-fry, the griddle for bacon, eggs and toasting bread (with more than enough real-estate to cook two of three at the same time - could have crammed in the bacon but that releases too much fat).
5-0 out of 5 stars great pans for the price
these are very lightweight but a good deal for the price.would not use high heat when using these.they look nice and are easy to handle.i am older and appreciate the light weight.if you want something for heavy use and a big family, you dont want these unless you want them for small jobs.would buy them again for the price. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Im in love!
Ive struggled for the past 7 years to find some decent non stick skillets for use without oil. Well they would work like for less then a month, and then everything would go downhill from there. Not with these skillets. I saw they were great quality right from the beggining. You will no regret buying these skillets, especially at the price their practically giving them away. :)

    Great selection of sizes.

    Editorial Review

This 12-inch everyday pan will end up being the hardest working pan in your kitchen. It is ideal for everything from simmering stovetop succotash and braising brisket to browning Dutch pancakes or cooking fruit tarts. Part of Calphalon's Commercial Hard-Anodized line of cookware, this pan is made of heavy-gauge aluminum that's uniformly thick across the bottom and sides, allowing for quick and even heat distribution. Its durable hard-anodized finish is stick- and scratch-resistant and won’t react with acidic foods. The patented cast stainless-steel handles are comfortable to grip, plus they minimize heat transfer so handles stay cool on the stovetop. Handles are held in place by three sturdy stainless-steel rivets. The included hard-anodized lid is dome-shaped, making it ideal for moist-heat cooking. The cookware and lid are oven-safe up to 450 degrees F so you can transfer a frittata to the oven for browning without having to switch pans. All cookware in this line is covered by a lifetime warranty. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Wife hates them.
I bought this "Everyday" pan, plus a 2 1/2 quart sauce pan at the same time with the "Commercial Hard-Anodized finish" because she loved the Calphalon omelet pan I got for her four months ago, and I thought that these would be a good addition.
4-0 out of 5 stars We love this pan
My boyfriend and I love this pan. It's a great size and depth. We use it all the time.It may not be "non-stick", but I find it really easy to clean - even after I left risotto in it for four days. The only drawback I found is that it scratches really easily - make sure to use plastic/silicone tools.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing for Calphalon
I own a good amount of high end cookware, and do a large amount of cooking.I own several pans in the Calphalon Commercial line, including this pan. This is the perfect size pan, and that is originally why I purchased it, but other than it's size, it's useless.Everything sticks to this pan, even when the pan is greased. It's been very frustrating to cook with the pan, and find out that your food is stuck to the pan.Cleanup is diffcult.I wash all my pans by hand, to preserve them, and this is the most difficult pan to clean. It still has marks on the bottom pan where food stuck while cooking.I read previous reviews and followed the advice about cleaning the pan, but it still looks the same.I've decided to order a pan from a different line. ... Editorial Review

Cook meats and vegetables all in one place at one temperature with this skillet, as its versatile design allows a dish to be started on the stovetop and finished in the oven. Its 10-inch size is ideal for cooking a meal for the whole family, and the convenient helper handle makes this skillet easy to transfer into the oven. No need to worry about the handles melting, either, as they're oven-safe up to 350 degrees F. The nonstick surface on both the interior and exterior walls ensures that foods don't stick and that cleanup is quick--just wash by hand with a mild detergent. Hard-anodized aluminum cookware is twice as durable as stainless steel, and Meyer is so sure of its product that this skillet has a lifetime warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, solid skillet... and for 10 bucks!!!
It's great! I didn't expect to get such a "serious" (hefty) skillet for such a price! Great, easily washable surfaces on the inside and outside.
5-0 out of 5 stars Works great
Non-stick surface is superb and produces great results. Now all of my cooking blunders will be my fault, not my junk pans'.This is a hefty pan too (4lb shipping weight), the most solid I've seen at this price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great pan; wish I had more of them
We got a lot of nice pans from our wedding registry, but none of the non-stick stuff we requested.A few months later, I noticed this pan on Amazon's Friday sale and given that it was $15 or $20, decided it couldn't hurt to try this guy out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product
I purchased the Lodge Logic 10-1/2 inch skillet ($9.63) and a 5 quart Dutch oven ($29.99). The order confirmation was received within a few minutes. Eight hours later another notification was received stating that the skillet had been shipped and the oven was backordered. Both were classified as "Free Shipping" items...no way. A package was delivered by UPS in three days. It was rather large and I thought my spouse made a purchase. The box was opened. It contained another box bubble wrapped. The second box was opened and it contained the skillet...again, bubble wrapped. The skillet was in perfect condition...no irregular pre-seasoning patterns at all. Four days later the oven and lid (fits the skillet too) arrived...same scenario. I have used both and am delighted with the quality of Lodge products. A few minor small pitmarks are on the bottom of each, but that goes along with sand casting iron. Kinda adds a bit of frontier flavor to my new goodies. They are basically non-stick and clean easily if you follow the enclosed instructions. Cooking with cast iron products is delightful....slow, even and predictable.
5-0 out of 5 stars Sold on Cast Iron - Easy and Good Results
I used to think that the best cookware is anodized aluminum Calphalon with the most advanced non-stick surface.Well, there still is a place for those expen$ive pans, but old-fashioned cast-iron cookware is now my favorite.
2-0 out of 5 stars Just got it, but handle Too Small!
I used to own a Cast Iron skillet that I seasoned myself. When I left the co-op college house I was in, someone asked if they could have the skillet. I let them have it. But recently, I have been using all Teflon coated pans, and after reading/hearing all of the potential problems Teflon can cause, I decided to try a cast iron skillet again.

The sides of this 10-inch nonstick griddle are low and slope gently, so your crêpes slide out without falling apart and your pancakes flip easily. No matter what you're cooking, you're guaranteed quick and even heat distribution, easy food release, and simple cleaning, thanks to the pan's three layers: an aluminum core, a hard-anodized exterior, and a reinforced nonstick surface. The aluminum core provides rapid heat conduction, while the hard-anodized exterior increases the griddle's durability. The nonstick surface allows you to cook low-fat meals without using any oil or butter. The griddle includes a collector's edition recipe card. As with all nonstick surfaces, you should not use metal utensils or abrasive cleaners with the griddle; doing so could void the lifetime warranty. Read more

I have had two of these for a year now and after using about 3 times a week,I can tell a difference in performance.Mostly used to cook breakfast, you know the healthy stuff, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns.Foods are starting to stick a little. If they stay like this,it'll be O.K.I can only envision what happens to teflon pans, because that's all I've had in the past..getting worse, but these are not teflon.

Pancakes, eggs, and bacon somehow taste extra hearty whencooked in a heavy cast-iron skillet. Cast iron creates superior heatretention, heats evenly, and loves a campfire, unlike flimsier pans.Fry up a mess of catfish, roast a chicken, or bake an apple crisp inthis generous 12-inch pan that features two handles for heavy lifting, and two subtle side lips for pouring. While the skillet comespreseasoned to prevent food from sticking, it works best when sprayedor lightly coated with vegetable oil before use. Whether used in akitchen or camp, this virtually indestructible pan should last forgenerations.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect
I've got this one and the 10 1/4" skillet. For a family of 5, this size is perfect. It easily handles 3 lbs. of ground beef, a double batch of Hamburger Helper, or 8 small chicken breasts. This is the pan I reach for most often. However, it's not quite perfect.I'm having a devil of a time getting pancakes to cook evenly.Others have mentioned uneven heating due to it's size, and I've wondered the same thing. If the only flaw in this pan is imperfect pancakes, I can easily live with it and find a more suitable pan for the pancakes. This is my "go to" pan whenever I'm cooking for our crew; can't imagine cooking without it.It browns & carmelizes beautifully.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good but Not Perfect
I've used this pan for about four years now.I use it exclusively and it is easy to care for ***AS LONG AS*** you keep acidic foods such as tomato sauce and wine out of it.If you ever partially take off the seasoning with an acidic food, what a ***CHORE*** it is to get the seasoning right again. You will have to SCRAPE off the remaining seasoning somehow and reseason all over again (which is no big deal if you cook sausage or bacon).I messed up the seasoning in my cast iron dutch oven and I never did manage to get it right again -- maybe if I set aside two hours and used steel wool or something else requring a lot of elbow grease.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good
It has turned out to be a bit too large for me (live alone) but it has been welcomed when family visits.I like the Lodge Logic line, slightly lighter than most cast iron, pre-seasoned makes it a winner. ... Read more

There are certain dishes that absolutely require cast-iron cookware, and others that just simply taste better when made with it. Just try throwing an aluminum pot onto the campfire and watching the blisters form or sampling a hearty spoonful of jambalaya that wasn't made in a cast-iron kettle. Fancy alloys and coatings on other types of cookware are simply trying to emulate the innate qualities of properly seasoned cast iron: heat retention, even heat distribution, and a scratchproof nonstick surface that will never warp. Since 1896, Lodge has been steadily producing the world's most extensive selection of professional cast-iron cookware, lovingly poured one piece at a time. Cared for properly, these products will last for generations. --Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It Just Works
Decent cast-iron is a joy to cook with.Season this pan well, and you will be amply satisfied.I have a couple of Lodge brand pans, and I like them a lot.One of the really nice things about this pan, is the extra handle.Cast-iron weighs a lot; filled with food, even more. The extra handle makes this pan easy to move, and work with.
5-0 out of 5 stars Cast Iron Rocks!
At some point in the post WWII American consumerist age, we decided to replace all the good stuff that worked with newly invented junk that did not work in the name of progress. Think of margerine instead of butter..for some reason we took natural butter off of our tables and replaced it with artery clogging scientfically invented margerine. Americans such as my grandparents ate butter every day of their lives and lived into their 90's.
5-0 out of 5 stars Cast Iron for Dummies (and Smarties, too)
One of the most important things to consider when buying anything cast iron is its weight, and therefore, balance. Never use your wrist alone to pick up a heavy skillet, use part of your arm as well. Because for its inherent weight, it is very important for cast iron cookware to be properly balanced. You should be able to put part of the skillets handle just past your wrist so that your arm is providing partial support. The pan should feel balanced this way.

Talk about potato woes. Mine were sticking to the pan, ripping, smooshing against my spatula. I tried home fries on the stovetop, roasted potatoes in the oven. Nothing worked and I was getting so frustrated.
5-0 out of 5 stars We love it!
We love this new addition to our kitchen. We use it all the time for all kinds of things. We can barely believe how easy it is to clean - it even fits in our sink, unlike pans with long handles. It works great for roasting fresh vegetables then adding cheese and toasted pine nuts. It's also the perfect size for quesadillas.Great for eggs and any kind of sauteeing.Other than things that require boiling in water, we could probably do fine with just this pan in our kitchen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value!
You can't beat the price on this pan.Got mine for $24.95 plus free delivery and am very pleased with its quality and performance.Food truly doesn't stick and the lid is a nice weight. Also, pan is sort of mid-weight and I like this lighter weight for everyday use. 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent /product/service
Cooking is such a job with all ScanPan products---have purchased for gifts also.

5-0 out of 5 stars great investment
This pan is so durable! We have it about 4 years and there is no sign of any wear! It washes so nicely. When we bought it, it came with metal scrubber to prove that you can clean it with metal with no problem. You need to use tiny bit of oil, but not much. I went on their website to try to buy more when I learned that it uses some teflon inside, but only in temp 500-600 degrees it gets released. So it should not be released in food. For complete purist-time to go back to cast iron or steel. However, I am still using this pan--what can I say? When something works so well, do not replace it! It was worth money we paid for it. I don't understand why this pan is not marketed more. I don't know of better nonstick pan with the same durability. It loves metal brushes and spoons.

5-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for...
I bought this pan on the recommendation of some friends and after other non-stick options I've tried have proved to be less durable than advertised.Time will tell on durability but the fact that the ceramic titanium surface is bonded to the pan rather than applied to the surface should make a difference. It works so well that I can't put butter in the pan when I make crepes, the batter won't stick to itself and I wind up with crepes with holes in them.Eggs come out perfectly. The pan heats evenly and quickly, cleans up easily, looks great, and has a nice heft to the hand - solid without being too heavy. This is an example of getting what you pay for; well worth the price tag. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Pans!
I've had this skillet set for about two years and I can honestly say that these are the best nonstick pans I've ever used. They are nice and heavy and sit completely flat on the burner - no warped bottoms developing over time like you get with cheaper skillets. The teflon finish is still like new on both my pans. I did learn, however, not to use spray oils on them (like Pam)because even with the best cleaning the sprays will start to leave a gunky, almost waterproof coating on the pan. With just a tiny bit of regular oil or butter these skillets perform much better. I have never, ever had a problem with these skillets sticking.
5-0 out of 5 stars Revolutionary Cookware
After purchasing some Calphalon from a local store I became hooked on it. It's non-stick like T-Fal but is easier to clean and seems more durable. Found this deal on Amazon that was at least half the price I could find anywhere else. This is now my #1 cookware and I'll be replacing my older stuff. I also have a 5 qt pot that is wonderful!

5-0 out of 5 stars these are nice!
I have an embarassing inventory of Calphalon pans.I wanted some nonstick omelette pans, and as Calphalon One nonstick will cost you significantly more for one pan than this two pack combo, I opted for this item. They are as heavy as the Calphalon One pans, and come packaged nicely (unlike some other duo item package deals).Regarding the nonstick coating, I am not sure if they used Teflon or not on the Commercial line, I expect that they did. That being said, the fears you might read about Teflon on some reviews are not informed. There still is some dispute on the seriousness of health effects of perfluorooctanoic acid, which is used in the manufacture of a number of items such as Teflon, waxy type containers of fast food, rugs, etc.Perfluorooctanoic acid is finding its way into the environment. Most recent indicators are that the scare on perfluorooctanoic acid has been overblown. However to the point, Teflon itself does not expose you to this substance, and in fact only one study has ever found it to do so (an FDA study), and that was under rediculous conditions that would never occur in normal use, and even so only minute quantities of perfluorooctanoic acid were found. The dispute is in fact an ideological one being pushed by the very radical Evironmental Working Group against Dow, and it is a pretty disingenuous as far as Teflon is concerned. This group views Dow Chemical as the great Satan.Whatever their issue with Dow, after 40 years is is very clear that Teflon itself is a very safe item (although I would avoid the waxy containers until the final evidence is in on perfluorooctanoic acid, as unlike Teflon, these actually do expose you to perfluorooctanoic acid.) In fact, I feel more comfortable using Teflon than the newer polymers that are now being used in the new Calphalon lines, as Teflon has stood the test of time. That is, unless you are at total idiot in the habit of turning you big burner on high and putting your teflon pans on them until they self destruct, and also putting your canary cages on top of the stove as you do so.If you are in the habit of doing this, I would stay away from all non stick pans, Teflon or otherwise.Even so, probably the only ones that would be hurt by this would be your canaries, and the burning grease and oil would have killed them anyway. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
The fryer with lid is definitely the best choice for me.My first fry was hamburger. Then I boiled off the burnt bits, wiped off the ash, oiled the bottom and placed in the oven at 350 degrees for one hour. I hope to finally make pancakes, scallion cakes, injera, pa jeon and more burgers.I didn't know how pretty and perfect this fryer was until I saw it for myself.Cast iron shapes have never moved me not even to make my own bibimbap but the proportions of this fryer are very pleasing.I hope more people will buy this variation with lid and maybe they will become enamored with cast iron and enjoy the full benefits of cooking with it.I just tried an omelet in this and it browned it more than my paper thin wok but it still did the job. This is a versatile version indeed.
5-0 out of 5 stars great cooking tool
If you like cooking with cast iron, you can't do better than Lodge Logic.

5-0 out of 5 stars Versatile and well-made
I bought this one because I was looking for something to fry various things in without the pot warping (as stainless steel pots do). Since I got this pot, I have been using it to cook all sorts of dishes--soup, stew, reheating rice etc. It's big enough to hold enough fried rice, for example, for 4, and I can pop theentire pot, lid and all, into the oven to keep warm. But it's not so big as to be too heavy to handle.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great small frying pan!
I bought this to roast potatoes in the oven and its been great. If you need a small cast iron frying pan this is perfect. AND its already seasoned.
5-0 out of 5 stars Pre-Seasoned is the Way to Go!!!
After struggling with a set of three regular cast iron pans from a different manufacturer, I finally boxed them up for Goodwill.I never mastered the seasoning part of cast iron usage.I ended up with a sticky residue and one pan rusted. After about three attempts of scouring and reseasoning, I gave up and ordered three Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned skillets.

5-0 out of 5 stars Calphalon Skillet Combo Pack
We were interested in the 8-inch pan, but couldn't resist the bargain deal of two skillets for just a dollar more than the smaller one.The 8-inch is MARVELOUS for fixing breakfast eggs -- stay in the middle of the pan and easy to flip over.
1-0 out of 5 stars Calphalon Doesn't Honor Their Warranty
We bought 2 non-stick Calphalon pans less than a year ago.We treated them with care, hand washing them etc. After a couple of months one of the pans started having the non-stick coating come off.No problem, we thought. There is a lifetime warranty.Right?Well, we sent the pan in for a warranty replacement. What we got back was our defective pan and an unsigned form letter accusing us of subjecting the pan to "caustic agents."This, of course, is nonsense. Both pans were subjected to exactly the same conditions, but only one started disintegrating.Neither pan has ever seen the inside of a dishwasher as we only hand-wash Teflon-coated pans.Neither pan has ever been subjected to excess heat. But Calphalon would rather accuse a customer of abusing their product than honor their warranty. So, my advice: AVOID CALPHALON.The store brand set we bought at Costco 10 years ago is still perfect -- at a fraction of the price. . . .I wonder how much of that Calphalon Teflon is still in our bodies...

4-0 out of 5 stars Just so you know...
The pans are great, love the cooking surface and handles.Just so you know, if you stack your cookware as I do, the outside surface scratches and abraids eaisily.I haven't tried using anything on it yet - it doesn't look nice but I figure it's only going to happen again. That is the only reason it doesn't get a 5 star. ... A great product to use in the oven. Just the right size to prepare dessert for 2 persons. I really like it. I will buy another one or two to bake fish/seafood in. I can serve it in the skillet, right from the oven.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another great addition!
Picked up this to complement my ever-growing collection of Calphalon tri ply pans. And, like every other pan in this series, I have been very pleased!Sautees, cooks, fries great. The 8" omelette pan is ok for one person, the 10" pan is great for a family. In my opinion, the 12" fry pan is much too large, so this 10" is just right.Additionally, the 3 quart saute pan lid will fit this pan (check my other reviews of the tri-ply series).
5-0 out of 5 stars A practical pan for everyday cooking!
I bought this pan for the hope of having a great stainless steel pan for everyday cooking and I am glad I did. It is very practical to use for quick cooking, it distributes heat evenly and quickly yet the handle doesn't heat up and it's user friendly since it's not heavy. I love using it in searing meat and cook the sauce after searing the meat in the pan. It is a very good buy that's why I bought other sauce pans with the same tri-ply material by Calphalon. It's a kitchen basic if you love to cook!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Omelettes!!!
I have been using this pan for a couple of months now.It is extemely well made. When you pick it up it feels hefty but not uncomfortable. Most importantly, I have turned out the most beautiful omelettes I have ever made. Nice even heat and a great surface do wonders. As far as the comment about discoloration... a little bit of Bar Keepers Friend and a Dobie Pad and it is as shiny as new. Perfect for hanging out on the pot rack gleaming away. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Love the Lodge product, but. problems ordering this continue
I have ordered this 10 inch skillet three times, and have been sent the wrong product each time after I returned the item received (I have received three 8 inch skillets).I have emailed Amazon twice about the mixup, and felt safe ordering it the last (third) time since months had passed. But no change had been made.Perhaps the item is listed under the wrong product number?
5-0 out of 5 stars Unlike another reviewer
I was buying unseasoned cast iron decades before the pre-seasoned was available and back then they were telling us to use fatback or bacon grease to season it.These days, I just use vegetable shortening and it seasons well if you do it right.Just don't be in a hurry, wipe your cookware clean under hot water and never use soap.I still have a frying pan that my grandmother gave to my mother who then passed it on to me.My kids will have to fight for it as I'm not passing it on as long as I can use it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Essential kitchen tool -- easy to season -- will last forever
Season your new cast iron with vegetable shortening and an inverted trip in the oven for 45 minutes, do that a few times and the cookware will begin to pick up a black finish. It will take a little time. Keep your cookware clean with hot water and a scrubbrush, NEVER soap.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased
This is my first electric skillet. The first use it got was for bacon and eggs.I was amazed at how quickly it gets to the desired temp.Whats great about it is that there are no hot spots like you get when you have a big pan on the stove. After the bacon was done I turned it down and put the eggs in and they were cooked PERFECTLY and EVENLY.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for a big family!
We have a large family and we use our electric skillet a lot.In the past we have purchased the cheaper versions from Wal-mart.They don't heat evenly, and we were constantly replacing them because the cheap plastic legs or handles would break. The Cuisinart CSK-150 1500-Watt Nonstick Oval Electric Skillet is AWESOME!!The cooking area is huge (we can cook 6 pancakes at a time easily) and the cooking surface heats up evenly. It is very heavy, so it doesn't scoot around on the counter.Nice metal handles an base.Glass lid is also very sturdy with a steam vent.It is very beautiful and functional. Because of the quality of the construction, I believe it will last our family for many years. I have not previously recommended any item online before, but I highly recommend this item! ...
