Thie Sifter Broke The first time I used it
This looked identical to the sifter my mom had for years and years so thats why I bought it. I figured they were all basically the same and I needed a big one. This broke halfway through my first use, literally halfway into sifting 3 cups of flour, the handle snapped and would not *spring* back even though I tried re-aligning it. This is definitely not your grandmother's sifter. Unlike the old handle-crank variety with one layer of mesh, this sifter contains three layers of mesh and three sifting blades. The result is silky-smooth flour for fluffy cakes and well-mixed dry ingredients for melt-in-your-mouth cookies. 3 cups in this sifter may be a little ambitious for the extra-tidy cook (because of possible spills), although 2 cups fit just fine. This product's spring-loaded handle makes sifting quick, but also intense, which might make it difficult for people with weak grips. However, the result is well worth the work. Read more

poor quality for the companies reputation
This sifter broke a month after I got it. It seems sturdy but it actually requires carefull handling. The sifting is somewhat slow but good (excercise!!!).

Too much work, didn't last long
The Amco sifter broke during the second time I was using it and the first time I used it it took a long time and the handle kept sticking. Also my hand, wrist and arm were hurting so bad from all the work it took just to get four cups sifted.It also leaks flour where the handle is at the bottom.

Love This Battery Powered Flour Sifter!
I have owned one of these for years and it works like a charm. I have given it as a gift to many of my friends because after they watch me give them a demo, they just have to have one too, and they all love it as much as I do. In fact, I'm getting ready to order two more as a result of showing how mine works to some new friends. It's fast and does a fantastic job on flour. I haven't tried only using powdered sugar, but after reading the review of the people who did, I'm going to test that out. All I know is that it's fabulous for sifting flour.

This is a waste of money!
As a part of a cake-decorating class, my wife makes two batches of icing every week. Unfortunately, the sifting of the powdered sugar is time consuming and hard on the hands and wrists. This electric sifter seemed like the perfect solution. It works by quicly rotating a metal screen back in forth in a vibrating motion. The idea is that this vibration will encourage whatever powder you place in the top to fall through the screen, mixed and seperated. It's performance, however, was laughable. Install the single AA battery, add some powdered sugar, press the button, and watch in amazement as the device buzzes and rattles like an electric sander while one-by-one the grains of sugar drop into the waiting bowl. We gave up on it after more than a minute of the anoying sound had produced about a half a cup of sifted sugar.
