5 Stars because......
Not only is this machine great, it is easy to thread and use but above all I learned that Simplicity has wonderful customer support for any questions or problems that you may encounter, (which I could not get thru Brother,viking or Janome when I bought their machines)They answered my emails the next day and once within 24 hours and I was up and running with my serger from a total beginner to a confident serging maniac!You do not have to spend $1000's for a machine as sales people would have you beleive this does all that a most expensive machine does for a fifth of the price and I am happy I got it and saved myself a bundle.

A great serger for a great price
As someone who sews, I'd considered a serger to help quicken the pace. After some product research, this seemed one of the better machines for the price. I'd looked at more expensive sergers but truly needed something decent at a low price. I also have a friend that does professional sewing try it out and she seemed to like it as well. She said that the included additional blade was worthwhile, as they alone can be as high as $60 to $100 for some machines.

a piece of junk
I bought this because I didn't have room for a sewing machine. According to the commercials, it worked just as well. It was difficult to use, flimsy, and parts just kept falling off. Whoever designed this is a real jerk. Don't buy it.

NOT AT ALL WORTH IT
I bought this as my first sewing machine, hoping to learn how to use one, but this does not work AT ALL! It unravels as you try to sew, or just wont sew at all. The needle is small and impossible to thread, and the machine broke within my first five stitches- it just sewed loops, not real stitches, that unraveled with a touch. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND INVEST IN SOMETHING BETTER!

Best Shaver I've Ever Used!!
First of all, I've have tried using battery-operated lint shavers and they are the worst!! As the battery power runs low, the rotation of the blades slows down and snags and pulls the lint on the clothes. Therefore, you have to replace the batteries and later on experience the same power problem again. I would never recommend any battery-operated shaver.

Leave it to the C@#$%&* TO F@#* up what used to be a very practical and innovative little gadget that was nice to own.What we can make in 3 parts, it takes them 25, 20 which are unnecessary.After the initial charging and dis-assemblingsome of the unnecessary parts, I was able to use it and it did do a decent job.The lint chamber is pretty small.I gave this product 2 stars.Not recommended for the impatient!

Amazing, fun but room for improvement
I'm a relatively new quilter, but long time sewer.I'm still exploring the EQ5 but so far this is what I've found...
Very good tool for quilters, but it isn't perfect
EQ5 is a super-duper drawing and design program for quilters. You might think that's it's overkill, especially if you've used a simple CAD program, but it does do some things that will make any quilter say, "OH COOL!"
XP issues
I recently purchased EQ5 and am impressed with its originality.For those of us less talented in design its a wonderful tool.However, I cant give it a five star simply because of software issues with Windows XP.The program crashes with drawing errors. You must change settings on XP to have it work correctly.If completely compatible with XP I would not hestitate to rate it higher.Until then, there are too many glitches in the program.No drawing error should freeze the system. ... Easy to use(except zipper foot).I like it!
I just bought this sewing machine about three weeks ago. I got it as a replacement for a Bernette that I used for about thirty minutes total that the repair man could not figure out how to fix. LOVE IT
I THINK ITS GREAT AND AS FOR THE DRIPPING WATER FROM STEAMER SPOUT ,YOU JUST HAVE TO HOLD THE TRIGGER OTHER WISE THE WATER WILL COOL DOWN AND DRIP INSTEAD OF STEAM. I was a little lerry about purchasing this maching because I wasn't sure if I would use it to justify the spend but as I looked around, Amazon had the best price and I saw the Good Housekeeping logo, which means Good Housekeeping doubles the warranty of the manufacturer. I was very satisified as the maching put out a lot of steam and I was suprised how fast it heats up. I looked at other machines...and the only one that came close to the the SteamFast was Jiffy. the Jiffy unit has a smaller tank, lower wattage and it is more expensive. I feel confident that I made the right choice and I use it every day!!!

Very small for a pair of kitchen scissors!
The description claims that these scissors are good for use in the kitchen but I think that needs some clarification.The cutting edge of the blades is only about an inch and a half long!The "Torque engineering" that is referred to can surely only mean that the handles are longer than the blades and so providing a gain due to leverage - other than that there is nothing really different compared to 'regular' scissors.When the description refers to chicken bones does it really mean just chicken ribs and cartlidge? The pivot is a simple rivet - pretty basic (and cheap) for a relatively expensive pair of scissors.Such a simple rivet also means that you can't take the blades apart.The scissors do work OK as regular scissors i.e. for cutting paper, plastic packaging etc. but no more so than any other reasonably well made, and possibly less expensive, design.

Will cut up a steel-belted radial
OK, maybe not. But it will make short work of a chicken or one of those imprenetrable plastic blister packs that everything is packaged in these days. Do not waste your money
I used the Buttoneer one time and the needle that pushed the fastner through broke. Once this happens, the Buttoneer is useless. There is also no warranty.
Great for Girl Scouts and Dancers
I haven't used buttoneer to fasten buttons but I've had fabulous luck using it for other applications.As a Girl Scout leader, I use the buttoneer to attach badges to the girls uniforms.They love the immediate gratification and the Mother's can chose to leave it attached via buttoneer or sew it down later. This was the badges are never misplaced. I just discovered a that the buttoneer is an excellent replacement for hand tacking special details on my daughters ballet costumes, and it saved me HOURS of frustration.I'm sure I'll find additional uses in this busy household!

I bought this product a couple of years ago and I love it! It's really easy to use, and the fasteners are very sturdy; I haven't had any problems with mine.I would have to disagree with the previous reviewer's claims that it can't be used on waistbands.I use it to fix buttons on waistbands all the time and the prongs fit through the band fine - and this is on lined suit pants. The only disadvantage is that you can't use it on small buttons - the prongs are too big for the smaller holes of small buttons, so you won't be able to use it on your shirts or blouses. ... Good Tool for Drawing Animation
Although some animators use much larger and more expensive light boxes to draw with, this simple desktop version is a cheaper and more manageable alternative. We use these in all of our Manga and Anime workshops. The box provides a nice even lit area (no "hot spots") and a slight tilt to the drawing surface to make it more like a drafting table and easier to see what you are doing. GREAT little scissors!
I used these scissors for cutting off the fins and tail of Tilapia(sp?),and these worked wonderfully on cutting through those needle-like bones!My last pair of cooking scissors broke while in the process of cutting!These are really great for any purpose!SHARP too!

Favorite kitchen tool
These little scissors are unbelievable...they cut a whole chicken and open plastic packages equally. This is the second pair I have owned...the only need for replacement was due to my significant other misplacing the first pair.

Sharp and Accurate
I bought this cutter for use in bookbinding and papermaking projects. It cuts paper, even up to 240 gsm quickly and precisely. Using this cutter, a large framing square, and a sheet of plywood gives nearly the same results as a regular paper cutter, but provides more flexibility.
