Not my favorite appliance
I was given this sandwich press as a gift.Honestly, I feel it is just another specialty appliance to take up storage in my kitchen.If I could open it up all the way so that I get more surface area than my skillet - and have it double as a griddle, that would make it more worth having for me.But other than toasting/pressing a sandwich, I would use my skillet for any of the other uses it suggests because I can adjust the temperature on my range. I wish the sandwich press temperature was adjustable.

Love it!
I have owned my pizzazz for over 3 years now.Perfect to make pizza without heating the whole house by lighting the oven.Easy to keep clean.When the pizza is done, I remove the rotating platter immediately.This way it won't get burned by the red hot elements.I would highly suggest this product.

Great machine, Great repair service
I have had the Maxi 2-in-1 Panini Press for almost two years, and it has been about the perfect machine.As other reviewers have pointed out, it handles different thicknesses of sandwiches very well.It makes a perfect Reuben sandwich, and every other grilled sandwich that I have attempted.It is an extremely solid machine that is heavy and looks very classy..It is the only appliance that I have ever owned that I wouldn't change a thing about. The other day I found that my plastic handle was broken (don't know how that happened), so I called their toll-free number, and they immediately e-mailed me out a pre-paid FedEx sticker to send the old machine back.In about 2 weeks I received a replacement machine.It amazed me because I just assumed that I would have to pick up the tab for the replacement handle and the shipping charges.

Multitalented
I like the adjustable top grill more than anything except maybe the smooth easy clean teflon surfaces. The adjustable top makes it easy to create great omelettes. But then bacon does not work because there is too much fat and water for the smooth top so it overflows.

I purchased the Panini Press for a Father's Day gift for my husband.I was very interested in the Breville brand because I purchased their toaster a few months ago and the design and function is outstanding!Anyway, my husband likes leftover pizza for lunch and doesn't like it in the microwave.Consequently, he often gets out our heaviest pan and turns the flame on high underneath it and...WALKS AWAY!The phone rings, he lets the dogs out, whatever:there is always something to distract him and our kitchen smells like burnt to a crisp pizza!

Perfect Pizza Every Time
This is an excellent product and I highly recommend it. We rarely ever made pizza because it was never as good as what we could order. My crust was always a problem, never crispy. With this pizza grill, the crust now comes out perfect every time. The pizza looks like a real pizza! Just check the dimensions first to make sure it fits in your grill. If it does, and you're thinking about buying it, buy it. It also comes with an excellent pizza dough recipe.

Worked as advertised-too much fun!
The only negative on this product is that we use it too much! My granddaughter loved building her own pizza and it came out wonderful.We get our pizza dough from Trader Joe's for $1.09 and it made a wonderful crust.We are going to try and make our own dough next time in our bread maker.

Awsomely quick jerky, from ground beef...and its good.
am a casual user of the food dehydrator, mainly for beef jerky. I had always used thin cut steak and marinated it for a day or two and then dehydrated. Well, I received a Nesco dehydrator for christmas which had jerky spice packets included with it. Reviewing how these packets worked, i saw that it called for ground meat, a new concept for me. Well, I broke down and got this item and mixed up a small batch, and I am never going back to the steak. It took a while for me to perfect which flavors to use, but this is as close to store bought jerky you can get. My best batch is 3lbs of 96%lean ground beef, one Hot & SPicy pack, One teryaki pack, and One original pack...with one 4 oz bottle of Hickory Liquid smoke...and presto...Store bought beef jerky. I have a Nesco dehydrator (see my other review nesco fd-60), and 3 lbs ground beef fill all the trays with the flat jerky strips. Lowrey's beware. And it's quick to make this, no marinating or cutting up beef, just buy the meat, mix the spices in, and into the gun it goes, and little formed strips of beef come out the gun. It's just like a caulk gun. I make the flat strips, but this kit comes with the capability to make beef sticks as well, which are awesome as well. Try this jerky fans, you will not be disappointed
What do you do with a ton of ground meat?
You buy the Jerky Works.It worked great.I didnt' realize that you could make jerky from ground meat.The flavor is fabulous.It stores well.It is easy to use.I would highly recommend it for anyone who hunts or who butchers their own meat.When you have all that meat you don't have room for in the freezer, it makes fabulous jerky.I was surprised at how easy and efficient it worked and very pleased with the outcome.I highly recommend the product.

I like it but you might not
I've only had this thing for a day, but that is long enough (with this simple contraption) to come to some very obvious conclusions.First, you can't put regular thickness sliced bread in it (to make a sandwich); the slots of the regular Dualit toasters, which this fits, are not wide enough and you will get bread "oozing" out through the tines, which will make a mess and will contact the actual heating elements.Rather, you would need to either buy very thinly sliced bread (or Pita bread) or slice the bread yourself.You can put cheese in between the slices of bread or inside the piece of pita bread and it will work fine.Read more

Good Toaster Oven
I just bought this item and it seems to work fine.The dial toaster function is different from a push button but is is just as handy, plus you can more easily set the toast time to your preference.Another handy feature of the timer is that it can be used as a TIMER ONLY.Just set the temperature to zero and use the timer for up to 30 minutes, a real bonus in a small kitchen with limited counter space.

Krups FDK112 Sandwich Maker
We have been using sandwich makers for many years. This is our third unit in many years. Although they all work well, Krups FDK112 has made the unit much more stable and safe to operate. Old units made by other manufacturers, were unsafe to operate (problems like finger burning, tipping over when closing the lid etc.) This unit is also easy to clean after use. We bought additional unit for our daughter for Christmas. This is a great sandwich maker for quick snack or picnics.

Broken in less than a year
I was really excited to get this more-expensive-than-others sandwich maker by a reputable brand.After only 6 months of use (on average 1-2 times a week), the clip that holds the top and bottom plates together when toasting broke, and there is no way to fix it.I am sorely disappointed that the clip wasn't made any sturdier.Of all the pieces to make metal, they chose to make the clip out of cheap plastic.I'm buying a different brand next time around.If you do buy this toaster, don't plan on make anything other than grilled cheese sandwiches, because anything that might pressure on the clip while toasting might break it - if not sooner, then later.
