Filters Don't Work
These filters don't appear to be working. My water still tastes funny. I wouldn't mind the charcoal specks if my water tasted filtered but it doesn't.

Not What I Ordered
This is not the filter you shipped.I wanted the one which goes in water cooler and has the red indicator switch.Instead I received another model which does NOT fit into the cooler properly. BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!!
This item is actually great.But, beware.Iordered this item thinking it is going to be the CRF-950L like they advertise.But I was sent out the CRZ-950Z instead.They are the same filter, except that the L as a monitor top as it says in the description and the box has the word Ultimate on it.The 950Z has neither feature.Again, they are the same filter (as far as I can tell), but this is not what is advertised nor what I purchased. I am now on my second return with Amazon now and will continue to return it untill they send me the correct item.

Water tastes better
But you can't trust the pitchers to hold up.They tend to develop minute cracks and leaks.Still preferable to storing bottled water and hopefully Pur will get the pitchers straightened out. ... Read more

Replacement filters are a must!
I have had my Hamilton Beach Brewstation coffee maker for quite some time and just didn't think about changing the filter until I saw them on Amazon and decided to order them.I changed out the old filter (Yuch! I won't say what it looked like...) and I immediately noticed a better taste in my coffee.The handle has a dial you can set to tell you which month the filter should be changed out, so just remember to check it now and then.

Faucet Water Filter
This is the best water filter I have found also have a Pur but like my Brita better

Works fine - but flow of water is _very_ slow after a while
We got this system about 10 months ago, and are on our 3rd filter now. It works great - our water tastes much better when it's been through the filter, and I assume it's also devoid of most of the nasty stuff in it. The one downside is that the flow of water through the filter is pretty slow, and it gets slower as your filter ages. One has to have patience to fill up a quart of water - takes 30 seconds easily when your filter is not brand new.

Brita Faucet filters
We have been using the faucet filter system for years, our home is over 110 years old and some of the plumbing is probably less than desirable for distributing water but thanks to these filters there is not much if anything to worry about.They last a very long time especially if you wait til the red light flashes before changing.

Nice filter, but for a discontinued unit
This filter fits a Pur undersink cartridge system that's no longer being made.That said, the unit has worked nicely for me for almost 10 years now.The filter will exhibit somewhat reduced flow as it starts to get clogged, and will just shut off completely when it's no longer useful.You don't have to be concerned about whether it's expired; it'll let you know in this very simple fashion.
Blame Target
If you are having issues with it being backordered look closer to who it is being purchased frmo.Target is the company and Amazon is only doing the front end.

Amazon offers a nice price but it is NOT available.
Amazon continues to lure unsuspecting buyers of this filter to their website and actually advertises a low price and quick delivery.It will process your order and tell you later it is on backorder with an estimated delivery date a few weeks out, but after several weeks they finally notify you via email that it is cancelled. The product is fine, but Amazon is not as long as they continue to act this way.Avoid ordering this product through Amazon and look elsewhere. ... Read more

Well Water and Brita Filter
Our water comes from a well, so we do not have the issues associated with city tap water (chlorine taste, etc.). Before reaching our sinks, the water passes through two paper filter systems and an ultra violet light system. Still, the taste of the water varies by season (assuming due to run off) and at times contains sediment that makes the water cloudy or off color. The water from the kitchen sink where the Brita Filter is installed almost always runs clear now and the taste is pretty consistent.

Good filters, great price --but the light sometimes stops working
This filter is much easier to use than some other faucet-mount models.Installing the filter system is relatively easy, and replacing filters is even easier.Amazon's price (for filter system as well as replacement filters) is the lowest I could find online or retail, especially when I get "super saver" free shipping.The only problem with my filter system is the green "filter-is-in-use-and-is-working" indicator light occaisionally stops lighting up for a few days at a time, but then works fine again. I'm not sure whether or not this means that the red "time-to-change-filter" light comes on later than it should.But so far it hasn't bothered me enough to call customer service...

Good filter system
This is the second Brita filter we have owned. We wore out the first one. The filter delivers sparkling clean water. It automatically signals when it is time to order a new filter and when it needs to be replaced. It also provides a handy spray nozzle that we didn't have before.

Buyer Beware - FALSE PICTURE ALERT!!
As of 9 Dec 2005, the product picture shows the filter as being for a PUR Ultimate system, but what is actually sent are filters for a completely different system - 3 stage.They will not work in the Ultimate system.Shame on Target and Amazon for their attempt at deceit or ignorance in product visualization.

Missing parts
Recived one filter not two as advertized.I will not do transactions with this vender again.

PUR is the best water filtration company i've stumbled upon. Their PUR Ultimate filters litterally make water better, healthier and great tasting. Finding Filters is definitely a problem
Similar to other reviews, I have had trouble finding filters. I also own a Krups Mocha Brew and they use a Size 1 round filter which is only avaiable online for $5/ box of 100 plus shipping and handling.This is a lousy way for Krups to do business, not making filters widely available. It would deter me from future purchases.

These filters are a great idea
I believe that the reason why some people are having difficulty finding these filters is because the coffe makers, Crystal arome (model #398) and Crystal arome time (model #458) have been discontinued, these filters fit those models.But as someone else has mentioned you can buy the filters on-line.Simple solution. Where are you people looking for filters?
I am not sure where these people are looking for filters. Generally, I find they are available through higher end retailers like Macy's and Bed Bath n Beyond. Here is a little secret.
