Beautiful, functional and affordable!
The title says pretty much about it. I just installed it this weekend. It is absolutly beautiful and functional. After hanging several pots and pans, the light weight is not an issue at all and it actually make you feel safer since there is also less weight on the roof. You won't go wrong with this rack. However, our house has a pretty high ceiling and I need to get some longer chains to hang the rack. Other than that, it is perfect.

I was skeptical because of the great price, but this product is excellent! It looks great and I have gotten many compliments off of it. They work for 20x56 oval rack
I purchased the Calphalon 20x56 rack from CutleryAndMore because Amazon wouldn't match their lower price.I love the rack.These hooks fit it fine, but aren't exactly the same as the ones that came with the rack.I hesitated to buy hooks at Amazon because of the reviews saying they don't fit.I returned some of these hooks I got at a local BedBathBeyond because they did not fit.Looks like Amazon may have some new stock that fixed the problem.
Poor quality control; poorly manufactured.
I recently installed a wall-mounted Calphalon pot rack, which I like a lot.Unfortunately, the two hooks I just ordered both fail to work properply with the potrack.One is simply too small to fit onto the rack; the other one fits on but is too large, and comes off when removing pans.Additionally, these hooks are either made from a different material and/or finsihed differently from the ones that shipped with pot rack originally.

Plain but Good Enough
Bought this thinking it would 'make a statement' on the wall I was hanging it on.It is a smaller unit than I anticipated, so had to work it together with a cookbook shelf just above.Even though it's 'plain jane' it does a great job of keeping the cookware out of the cabinets and within easy reach.

Excellent for what it is - but Manufacturers Defects Are Bad
Rack was shipped quickly but arrived damaged. Not from shipping. One of the predrilled holes was completely stripped, so the unfinished (i.e., shiney!) metal shows around the hole -- about 1/4" in diameter. I "fixed" it with black paint and it is only noticeable from very close as I placed the rack fairly high on my wall. All in all the rack is great, I have 8 cast iron pieces hanging from it, there is only a very slight bend to the bar, it is very sturdy. Standard "black" drywall screws match the bar's finish perfectly. An excellent deal for $25, especially if your's comes without any manufacturer screw ups!!!

I ordered this item because it perfectly fit the 32-inch wall space above my stove. When I received the rack, it actually measured 32.5 inches -- 31 inches of bar and 1.5 inches for the mounting. I installed it in about an hour.Bought 4 screw-in eyelets and chain link connectors to attach to the ceiling joists at 4 points.It hangs above the island in our kitchen.We can hang all our heavy Calphalon pots/pans on it.I couldn't exactly center it over the island due to where the joists were located, but it's OK.I'm going to chance the old lighting above the island so this isn't as noticable.

We moved into a converted Art School in a wonderful upscale urban area in Pasadena between Cal Tech and the South Lake Shopping district.Our space encompasses the former art studio (with a great northern wall of glass windows slanting inward at the top), a classroom and an office.The great room is approximately 45' X 25'.The kitchen was carved out of one end of the great room and is approximately 16'X 25' and the open-beamed ceiling is about 14' at the lowest and 18' at the highest end with a skylight strategically placed to bring natural light in over the cooking area.Having no cupboards, we had to get creative with storage, so we decided on a potrack.We looked for weeks for just the right pot rack.Most were just too small, or wouldn't hold all the pots, pans and gourmet gadgets we had in combining two hoseholds into one.Some were large, but not sturdy.Some were too fancy and others were not the right color or material. Buy Several Double Pot Rack Hooks
The Calphalon Double Pot Rack Hook works well on the "cross beams" of the Calphalon wall rack and hanging racks. You can use them to hang two omelet/frying pans back-to-back or as Calphalon suggests, a pan with its lid. For the wall rack, I recommend buying 2-4 double hooks; for the hanging racks, where you have more room, buy as many as you think you might need. Not a functional product if it's missing parts
I ordered two of these racks and the shipment shows up with the rails only, no hooks, no mounting screws.After flagging the problem quite clearly to customer service, they ship out a replacement set and guess what?The second shipment's as incomplete as the first.And no one at Amazon seems to be able to clearly rectify the problem.So, back they go and after no small amount of time has been wasted on my part as well.
Great price and quality product
Own a super stainless steel pot holder and wanted three matching racks for hanging utensils and chose this product which turned out to be better than I imagined. I ownalot of AllClad stainless cookware, so I know the brand well. What I love about this utensil rack is the hooks, which are hung within the rack itself and not like most hooks that are looped on a storage rack. I like this because when I go to grab a spoon, spatula, whisk etc I don't have to deal with the hook coming off as well. I also appreciate the clean lines and easy installation.Would like the opportunity to buy more hooks separately.

Quality looked good, but finish was not attractive at all.
I have to admit that I agree with one of the earlier posters, the finish is nto attractive at all.It looks as if it was painted with splatter paint. I've returned the item and decided it's worth it to pay a bit more money for a higher quality product.

Important info on mounting
As you can see by the other reviews, this is a great pot rack.However I have some very useful information if you want to purchase it.The rack was well designed and the mounts were spaced properly so that you screw the pot rack directly into the studs.
Fuctional but unattractive finish
Do not let the term "hammered steel" deceive you. The rack has a very unattractive industrial black/chrome finish over a smooth steel surface. This is not the same finish that is seen on more expensive racks.On the plus side the unit seems sturdy and functional. ... Read more

A nice addition to the kitchen.
I was worried that one reviewer's chains fell apart, but am happy to share that my basket set is just fine.It isn't terribly elegant, but I'm not complaining, given the price.The basket set frees up space on the kitchen counter, and I think reminds me to eat the healthy fruits and veggies I put in there by keeping them at eye level.

These Pot rack hooks really save space
I have the large 54" oval pot rack from Calphalon as well as another hooked above it.With over 25 pots, pans and assorted items, I really needed to figure out a way to save space.These hooks work well for any type of shallow pan as they will now set so much closer to each other.These don't work for the large pots but frying pans and sauciers work fantastically well.

My favorite feature is the grid that sits in the middle, where I keep my Pyrex/casserole dishes and pressure cooker. What a space saver! Great Pot Rack for Small Kitchens
This new and improved Calphalon 12x24-inch Anodized Aluminum Half Round Wall Rack is perfect for use in a small kitchen. I mounted it with a molly bolt into the kitchen drywall and a wood screw into a stud. I used a Zircon electronic studfinder to find the stud. (Usually wall studs are 16 inches apart, so you will probably only be able to mount the rack onto one stud. Because this pot rack only has two mounting holes, I used a molly bolt for the other hole.) The wall rack must be well secured to the wall because the Calphalon pots and pans are quite heavy. This rack comes with 4 hooks, but you'll probably want to order more. I use hooks on the wall rack to hold long serving spoons, both slotted and plain. I hang hard-to-store items on the rack, like my wok and french roaster and rack, as well as my most frequently used items, such as my omelette pans. Good Quality at reasonable price
I just had this pot rack installed and it looks great in my small kitchen. It's sturdy and functional. The finish is matte black with chrome grid, hooks and mounting hardware (all the hardware needed is included... even the ceiling hooks which are not included with some racks).
