Better than Pampered Chef
We've had a Pampered Chef pizza wheel for years and thought it the best on the market.It's getting dull and I thought a new wheel would be a good idea for my pizza making husband.I checked online and found several reviews for the KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, some even stating that it was better than the Pampered Chef one.So, I decided to give it a try.Our pizza chef thinks it's great.It cuts well and feels substantial in the hand. The best cutter ever
This is my second pizza cutter in my entire life. It is everything I thought it would be and more. I love the grippy handle and the huge wheel. I use it on my home made pizza. Yes, I make the dough from scratch along with everything else. It cuts my dough to perfectlion. I don't buy pizza from the store or from chains, so I don't know how it would work on other pizzas. I think that if it was used on store-bought pizza it might be comparable to cutting through a cardboard box. That is not what this item is designed to do. Use a box cutter for that. Overall it is highly recommended by me. Keep in mind that I also make whole wheat dough and like it extra crispy. It does beautiful job.

Good, but a bit of a design flaw...
I bought this product one year ago, the first pizza wheel I've ever purchased, at the age of 35.I use it to cut through store-bought pizzas that one can buy in the frozen foods section of a supermarket.

Talk about non-stick!!!
I add lots of cheese to my pizzas and it tends to get all over the pan.With other pans, the cheese sticks and I have to pry the pizza off with a spatula. BUT NOT THIS ONE!!It just slides right off with one shake.My party pizzas come out crisp and heated evenly.Also, I have cut my pizzas on this pan and there was barely a scratch on it.Very heavyweight with no warping.What a buy!

Seems like it will last a lifetime
This is a very well built pizza pan.I was visiting my moms the other day and took this to make homemade pizza with, and when she picked it up, she said "Wow.This feels like it'd be expensive!"But I don't think it is expensive for the quality of this product.I might buy another for when I need to make 2 homemade pizzas at the same time.

Excellent product
I have been using Airbake pizza pans for at least ten years, if not longer.My original ones are still in great condition.I spray the pan with no-stick spray before putting the pizza on the pan.The fact that cheese can get stuck in the holes is indeed a drawback, but the fact that you get a nicely browned crispy crust more than outweighs the inconvenience.I make my own pizza dough, and bake the pizza at 425.(Maybe it doesn't brown as nicely at a lower temperature?)

Nearly impossible to clean even when pre-treating it with no-stick spray.Food gets into the holes and gets baked into it.As for cooking, it does well but it won't really brown the crust which I like, but others might not. ... Read more

Idiotic sticker!
I'm sure this is a fine pizza wheel. Unfortunately, I've not yet been able to use it, as the @#$!*$ sticker that came attached to the blade is vitually impossible to remove. Geez.
I wasn't going to review this, but
Amazon sent me an email inviting me to say something. I saw this item on Alton Brown's shows, and since I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome rather severely, I searched for it on trusty Amazon. I had to wait a while, it was out of stock. When it came, it WAS extremely packaged, something I would expect of a truly sharp, heavy-duty kitchen blade. Once I read the directions about taking it apart, no problem. As far as the reviewer with the "label problem", (probably a guy), most adults know you have to peeeel backwards on labels, andyou use the label itself to grab any "bits" that are left on. Denatured alcohol or fingernail polish remover are last-ditch, but if you can't get a label off, maybe you shouldn't be using anything sharp anyway....
Still waiting to give this a try
I am still waiting to use this pizza cutter.Why am I writing a review now?Because I want you to know how poorly this is packaged.There is a round sticker around the entire blade, and it does not come off easily.The blade does come out of the handle for cleaning.That has not helped me to get this sticker off.They must have used the strongest glue they could find to attach the sticker.The sticker does not peal off.Instead it tears, and comes off in tiny bits.I picked at it for over half an hour.I gave up for a while, and put the blade in the dishwasher.I hoped the hot water and steam would loosen the label.It did not. There is still glue and bits of paper that I am still picking off.Although the blade is not 'razor sharp', I have to work carefully so I don't cut myself.So far this product has been a big disappointment.If I can ever get it clean enough to use, I'll write another review. ... The BEST pizza cutter on the market!
This is the BEST pizza cutter on the market, and believe me, my husband and I have had several.It cuts clean and thorough the first time, and cleans up great.Be sure, though, to put the protective cover back on after you wash and store it, because it IS sharp.Buy THIS one, not the cheaper, smaller version that KitchenAid has out in Wal-Mart.

I received this for a wedding gift and I now make pizza about once a week.My husband and I love that the pan is perforated.Not only does it allow for even cooking, but it gives the crust an amazing texture.One reviewer complained that it was difficult to clean sauce and crust out of the holes.There is a simple solution...lightly spray the pan with cooking spray before putting the crust on.All food will come right off when cleaning.Also, to cut down on any messes such as crumbs falling through the holes when cutting the pizza, I just place the pan on top of a towl.This allows for quick and easy clean up.All in all, this is a wonderful pizza pan.

Good but not great.
This is a good tool for the price, but my kitchen Aid is better.This tool will cut through a thin thickness of pizza (I use it for brownies too), but it's so flimsy and many times you have to go back and forth over the same spot multiple times (and I'm a strong guy) before it makes it through thicker slices.Maybe it loses sharpness or just isn't very strong to begin with, but since it was so cheap I knew what I was getting before I bought it.The grip is great and what really gets 4 stars, but the blade isn't very sturdy.I recommend spending you money on quality rather than convenience.

Excellent quality value.
This is a sturdy, 2 3/4-inch pizza wheel, which produces clean, straight-through cuts on the first run every single time. Its smooth-running, beveled wheel blade never seems to need sharpening and its hefty body fits comfortably in the hand, making it require less force to operate than the more traditional lightweight cutters do, and rendering it perfect for pizzas, pie crusts, dough, etc.
Flimsy, handle fell apart
It is definitely not one of the best OXO products.The one we had in our apartment came apart: the plastic part of the handle separated from steel. The cutting wheel is inadequate for good slicing because it is small and flimsily attached to the handle.Read more

Really solid, well made, a joy to use

This Cutter Means Business!
Like others, I have to agree that this is the best pizza wheel I have ever owned.I have been struggling with inferior pizza cutters (and we eat a LOT of pizza in my house) for YEARS.If it can't go in the dishwasher, I don't want it -- and I'm happy to say I've given this one a beating and it hasn't let me down.Use caution when putting the blade protector on for storage in your drawer -- the blade is SHARP!It's weight is perfect in the hand for cutting everything from cracker crust to deep dish, and I love the thumb guard.Get the large version -- worth every penny!
