Beautiful color
I absolutely love the new Scarlet color by Fiestaware.Mine did arrive in one piece which is a miracle as the box looked like it had been used for soccer practice -- sometimes I think those Fragile stickers result in box abuse!
Needs to be better packaged.
I was disappointed to find that my Fiestaware Sea Mist Pie Baker had arrived in about 1,000 different pieces, because more care hadn't gone into the packaging. Perhaps more padding, or at least the word 'Fragile' stamped on the box may have helped. I ended up having to return it and decided not to order a replacement because I wasn't confident that the second one wouldn't arrive in the same state. Also I had imagined the 'sea mist' to be more of a light mint-y green color (like jadeite), but the green was actually a bit darker and more of a light green than a mint green. LOVE THESE PIE PANS!
I ordered both these pie plates as well as the deep dish metal ones.I haven't used the metal ones but have used these several times to make custard type pies and they work wonderfully well.Also great for Quiche.Clean up is a dream - I am extremely pleased and they are very heavy and hold the heat well. Inexpensive and does the job
I have a recipe for making individual pot pies and I searched long to find some mini pie tins that wouldn't break my budget.These are darling- they are about 1/2 inch smaller in diameter than most of the others I looked at, but the set of four for only around $10.00 is a great deal compared with $27.00 for the next step up.The metal is a nice thickness and the pies seem to cook evenly.I just wish I had two sets! ... Simply the BEST
Pies are perfect-Clean up is amazing!!! The cookware is absolutely beautiful.There are few things I pay good money for and even fewer things I end up not regretting.. This is one Pie dish you will never regret owning!. It's wonderful and still looks as bright and perfect as the day i took it out of the box.. I throw it in my dishwasher without pre rinsing too! Best Pies Ever!
Not only do these burgundian clay pie pans look wonderful, they also bake the most perfect pies I have ever put together. The crusts come out even and just that great combo of crisp yet tender and flaky. I use Martha's pate brisee recipe, but with these pans it is foolproof! I have the big one for meat pies and 2 of the regular size for sweet pies and quiches. Wonderful!

Must Have for Baking
I adore my Emile Henry pie dish.It was my first piece of Emile Henry and worth every cent.The dish is beautiful and durable.It cleans up nicely, you don't have to worry about scratching and sticking is not a problem.
Finally, green!
I have waited a long time (suffering with a pyrex for years) for Emile Henry to produce a green pie dish - and this one is perfect. It sets off my apple pie beautifully. If you like to bake, then treat yourself to this gorgeous pie dish.

I hesitate to bring 'Emile' into public settings, because people are always trying to walk off with this favorite pie dish.Originally bought this back in '95 at an exclusive Kitchen boutique (hello $$$) for its good looks and solid feel, but quickly discovered that their 'special Burgundian clay' was not just a marketing gimmick, but really helps maintain a crisp crust, even with the juiciest of fillings - the heat-conducting material also seems to get the filling hotter quicker, so you don't end up with a singed top crust.When they say 'deep dish' they are not kidding: you can really pack it into this dish.The fact that it goes freezer-to-oven-to-dishwasher is no small bonus, either.Previously not much of a pie baker, I have somehow now acquired (along with 2 additional 'Emile' pie dishes, a reputation for my pies.If you take yours into public, just be sure to write your name on the bottom with a PERMANENT marker, or you may never see it again!! ...
