Don't buy it!
Three months ago webought this DeLonghi 12 cup electric percolator from Amazon.com.After three months of use it no longer perks or heats.Nothing is said in the manual about thisbeinga non-repairable item but that is the case and now we must pay shipping charges ($17 total for both ways)for a replacement by the company. This cordless electric percolator brews two to six 5-ounce cupsof coffee and lifts off its power base for convenient pouring. Anadjustable thermostat permits brewing to be set anywhere from light tostrong and also varies the warming temperature when the brewing processis complete and the percolator automatically switches to keep-warmmode. Lights signal when power is on and when brewing is complete. Areal beauty, the percolator is made of stainless steel with amatte-finish body. A band around the top and the spout are polished toa mirror finish. Stopped working after 3 days
It worked great for 3 days! Then I noticed the light just stopped working, then it stopped working altogether- it will not even go on. The base is a piece of junk. The copper contacts on the bottom are very flimsy. I will not buy DeLonghi ever again !

Performance is poor ! Used one star because I had to.
We bought this machine from Amazon about 5 months ago and it uses more ground coffee and makes weaker coffee than a $10 Mr Coffee. Sometimes the coffee is so weak it is undrinkable. We use as much coffee as the top piece will hold. We have changed coffee brands. We have changed grinders. And, I can't understand it because we used one of these in in Europe and it made great coffee ... that's why we bought this one. STAY AWAY! ... Read more

Just GOOD Coffee
Used this pot for the first time last evening. Great coffee, and you use less in a percolator, so that saves money. You turn off the burner after perking, so you can't leave the pot on, unless you really work at it. Better than the cumbersome electric drip coffee-maker and less mess!
