3-0 out of 5 stars Lello Pasta Maker 3000 Pro
The pasta maker works not as efficiency as I expected. Especially, the dough feeding mechanism has big problem. It almost could not feed dough down to extrusion chamber after the dough well-prepared.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works just like it says it will
I checked out several brands before deciding on this one. I followed the directions exactly, and the pasta came out perfect. it makes up to 3 pounds of pasta each time. That's a lot of pasta. But, you can freeze the leftover that you don't need right now. the noodles are not sticky and they cook fast. the fettucine cooked in 3 minutes after water boiled. I have no regrets.

5-0 out of 5 stars great for 100% whole wheat pasta
This machine was recommended for pasta with freshly milled whole grain.Does an excellent job with 1/2 kamut and 1/2 soft white.I use eggs instead of water, and follow the measurements exactly.I'm sure that it would do a great job with white flour. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Updating the historic tradition of stone baking for today's household kitchen, Sassafras offers a baking brick boasting even heat distribution and moisture absorption. Dry heat generated from stone produces crispier crust, making this ideal for preparing pizza, breads, and cookies. Although microwave- and convection-safe, the stone's 13-by-15-inch size makes it best suited to the traditional oven. Lifting and transporting are simplified with the included metal rack designed to fit snugly without slipping and provide two handles. Stoneware care consists primarily of avoiding thermal shock--extreme changes in temperature--and hand washing with hot water. It is best to avoid using cleaning agents as the stone may retain and pass on a soapy flavor. The disk can double as a serving piece and won't scratch with the use of knives and other cutting tools. Reinforcing this point, the set comes complete with a 2-1/2 inch circular pizza cutter. Read more

This comfortable pizza wheel will cut through crusts thick and thin without putting extra strain on your wrists or hands. The ergonomically designed handle keeps the wheel right in your palm so you can apply direct pressure to the blade and exercise more control over its direction. For safety, the handle is made of non-slip plastic for a secure grip and is coated with UV protection to prevent it from ever yellowing. The blade on this pizza wheel is made of extra-hardened steel that stays sharp and cuts quickly and easily. The blade and handle separate for more thorough cleaning. This product is comfortable for either righties or lefties to use and is covered by Zyliss under a five-year warranty from the date of purchase. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Idiotic sticker!
I'm sure this is a fine pizza wheel. Unfortunately, I've not yet been able to use it, as the @#$!*$ sticker that came attached to the blade is vitually impossible to remove. Geez.
5-0 out of 5 stars I wasn't going to review this, but
Amazon sent me an email inviting me to say something. I saw this item on Alton Brown's shows, and since I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome rather severely, I searched for it on trusty Amazon. I had to wait a while, it was out of stock. When it came, it WAS extremely packaged, something I would expect of a truly sharp, heavy-duty kitchen blade. Once I read the directions about taking it apart, no problem. As far as the reviewer with the "label problem", (probably a guy), most adults know you have to peeeel backwards on labels, andyou use the label itself to grab any "bits" that are left on. Denatured alcohol or fingernail polish remover are last-ditch, but if you can't get a label off, maybe you shouldn't be using anything sharp anyway....
1-0 out of 5 stars Still waiting to give this a try
I am still waiting to use this pizza cutter. Why am I writing a review now?Because I want you to know how poorly this is packaged. There is a round sticker around the entire blade, and it does not come off easily. The blade does come out of the handle for cleaning. That has not helped me to get this sticker off. They must have used the strongest glue they could find to attach the sticker. The sticker does not peal off.Instead it tears, and comes off in tiny bits.I picked at it for over half an hour.I gave up for a while, and put the blade in the dishwasher.I hoped the hot water and steam would loosen the label. It did not. There is still glue and bits of paper that I am still picking off.Although the blade is not 'razor sharp', I have to work carefully so I don't cut myself. So far this product has been a big disappointment. If I can ever get it clean enough to use, I'll write another review. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars broken after one use!
I got this pasta maker as a gift, and after the first use the knob used to set the thickness of the pasta broke off and so did a piece of the handle used to turn the rollers. All it would make after that is a flat piece of pasta with varying thickness. The company is going to charge me to send it to them and back, even if they decide to exchange the product, and all correspondences must be done by mail (no call-in number) so I'm not even hopeful for an exchange.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good
I was very pleased with the item. However, it is good to know that the machine can only handle small amounts of pasta at one time, so the process is a bit time consuming.

1-0 out of 5 stars Great Pasta takes practice.
Bought the Machine, and got the correct flour.Made up the dough, and that was a success.Followed the instructions, used the vice to hold the machine to the table, then started off by cleaning the machine with a small piece of dough to get rid of machine oil.

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST pizza cutter on the market!
This is the BEST pizza cutter on the market, and believe me, my husband and I have had several. It cuts clean and thorough the first time, and cleans up great.Be sure, though, to put the protective cover back on after you wash and store it, because it IS sharp.Buy THIS one, not the cheaper, smaller version that KitchenAid has out in Wal-Mart.

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest .... pizza cutter.... ever!
My wife and I received this as part of a set for our wedding and this is truly the best pizza cutter we have ever seen or used. Slices through pizza with ease. DiGiorno and Freschetta are no match for this baby! Usually one pass is all you need to cut clean through any pizza.
5-0 out of 5 stars Buy it now!
This is the most fantastic kitchen gadget ever. That may sound a little overkill- but get one and see. This is hefty and sharp and cuts pizza with ease- thebest thing that ever has for me. Even the "rocking chef knife" technique doesn't ever cut quite right- but this guy does. I'm obviously impressed, huh? Y'all will be too.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent pizza pan!
This pan is durable and it is even designed so when you put it on the counter it is sitting up and not just lying flat.Very durable pan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent product
I have been using Airbake pizza pans for at least ten years, if not longer. My original ones are still in great condition.I spray the pan with no-stick spray before putting the pizza on the pan.The fact that cheese can get stuck in the holes is indeed a drawback, but the fact that you get a nicely browned crispy crust more than outweighs the inconvenience.I make my own pizza dough, and bake the pizza at 425.(Maybe it doesn't brown as nicely at a lower temperature?)
3-0 out of 5 stars Hard To Clean
Nearly impossible to clean even when pre-treating it with no-stick spray.Food gets into the holes and gets baked into it.As for cooking, it does well but it won't really brown the crust which I like, but others might not. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Disposable at best
I'm on my second Sassafras pizza stone. The first broke in half after maybe a dozen uses. The second now has distinct cracking after about a half dozen uses. I treat my kitchen tools well, following all care instructions. These are just plain dogs; don't waste your money. The only saving graces are that they're cheap and hence easy to replace, and that they really do help make good pizza.

3-0 out of 5 stars So Sad - Not The Same Sassafras
Purchased new stone to replace orignal (4 yrs. old) which cracked.Old stone had a smooth surface identical to the expensive ones carried by a well known home demonstration company.Wiped clean and never smoked when heating.Tremendously disappointed with new one - same nasty rough surface as the cheapies available anytime, anywhere. The original had the Sassafras company name and Evanston, Illinois stamped on the back...the new one says Made in Taiwan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this machine!
Wonderful item, would reccommend to anyone, even first time pasta makers like me! Does everything it claims, end result was delicious and perfect.

5-0 out of 5 stars Homemade pasta made simple
My dad had one of these when I was young, and I learned to make homemade pasta on it. It's very simple, very durable, and the results are excellent. Although the factory settings can make very thin sheets, if it isn't thin enough for you can adjust it. My daughter pulled it off the table and bent the knob, but when my boyfriend pulled it off to fix it, he first adjusted it too tightly. You can't get it wet (it will rust), but that's not a problem. Just let the pasta dry, and it will crumble right off. My only complaint is that the clamp for the counter/table top is both too narrow for many counters and not as steady as it really should be. I sometimes have to brace the machine with one hand. Still, I am overall very satisfied with this product. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So easy and so much fun!
I've read some horror stories about making pasta with a machine, so I was prepared for it to be a challenge. It couldn't have been easier! It rolled and cut effortlessly. The key must be the dough ... which can't be sticky or overly dry.I made mine with 3 eggs and 300 grams of bread flour in a Kitchenaid mixer with a dough hook. The dough was a little on the dry side so I added a few drops of water. Then I wrapped the dough in plastic wrap for 30 minutes and let it rest before rolling. There was absolutely NO clean-up needed for the machine when I was finished.Great fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars wonderfully easy and very stable!
This Pasta maker is so much fun, easy and stable. I had used another one with my kids and it wobbled quite a bit while turnig the handles, making it harder for the kids to use.The Atlas 150 doesn't move at all, and cuts great pasta. You will never go back to the boxed stuff again!

5-0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money!
I just recently purchased this pasta maker after attempting to hand-roll my dough. As hand rolling took much time and caused hand cramps and ugly pasta, I decided to buy a machine. It's amazing!I don't think I'll ever go back to eating boxed pasta again! It looks better than pasta from a box and by making it myself, I can add whatever I like to the dough, such as fresh basil.Yum! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Crisp evenly-baked crusts, not soggy.
The perforations in the pan ensure that pizza crusts will be crisp and evenly baked, not soggy. The double-layer metal also helps to ensure even baking. My favorite pizza pan! It is lightweight and easier to handle than a pizza stone.
5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST pizza pan
I received this for a wedding gift and I now make pizza about once a week.My husband and I love that the pan is perforated. Not only does it allow for even cooking, but it gives the crust an amazing texture. One reviewer complained that it was difficult to clean sauce and crust out of the holes. There is a simple solution...lightly spray the pan with cooking spray before putting the crust on.All food will come right off when cleaning. Also, to cut down on any messes such as crumbs falling through the holes when cutting the pizza, I just place the pan on top of a towl. This allows for quick and easy clean up.All in all, this is a wonderful pizza pan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must-have for the amateur pasta chef!
I started making pasta a couple years ago with a hand-cranked machine. But because the clamp was too small for my countertop, and I only have two hands (i.e. not enough to hold the thing in place, while cranking the rollers, feeding the dough in, and catching the dough coming out) it didn't come out of my kitchen cabinet too often.

4-0 out of 5 stars I like It
I read all the reviews before buying this item and decided to go ahead and give it try with the idea in mind that if it was lousy at making pasta, I would use it for making sausage. So far, I have been successful at both.I have had the pasta maker for a couple of months and use it twice a week to make pasta.I think it's a nice machine. It's a little tricky to get the dough right but it's worth the effort to learn. In the beginning, stick to the same brand of flour and use the same measuring utensils until you know what the correct consistency of the dough is.Once you get the hang of that, don't expect your pasta to be the same length. The pasta that extrudes through the die is always longer in the middle with the side pieces at times being several inches shorter.Of course this doesn't affect the taste but it is rather annoying.
2-0 out of 5 stars They should call this a sausage maker Pasta at your own risk
We were so excited to get this machine only to find out that it is mainly made of acrylic easy to break plastic. When we tried to make fettuccini our first try it got so overloaded we thought it would explode, as the front plates began to crack. The parts clearly could not manage the pressure. We were able to make sausage without trouble but I got it for Pasta! I was unable to return this item (bought online) and am very disappointed. I wished I'd purchased a metal pasta maker. Pain to clean and easily broken - was not worth what it cost.

2-0 out of 5 stars Should've known
I purchased mine at a retail store at a typical "as seen on tv" discounted price and returned it within a couple days. The "locking ring" that held the mixer in its place broke in half after the first use.I could have purchased the part through Ronco's website for $7.00 + S/H (for a molded plastic ring!), but if it broke on my first use (and I followed the recipe in the booklet carefully), it'll surely break again - not very economical or convenient.
