Great coffee every time...

It's OK...
The toaster arrived in wonderful condition. It is easy to use. However it does not toast evenly. The top toasts more than the bottom. Even my 4 year old complained about it. I would not buy this toaster again.

pretty nice, then broke
This was a great value and performed well, although you must be real diligent about closing the filter-basket until it clicks, otherwise it will pour hot coffee all over the place. But after about 100 days it's just started blowing steam and can't finish a pot of coffee anymore.Tomorrow I'll dissect it in the name of...tinkering...and buy a larger french press.

bent heating elements
After about two years of daily use, the bottom heating elements started bending spontaneously, a little bit more after each use.They eventually almost reached the tray.I tried to bend them out of the way, but they broke. Customer service was not helpful. I am never buying a DeLonghi anymore!

Poor Durability
Worked for 2 seasons.I'm handy and can fix many items.This unit will fail because of design, and repair is not economically practical.Given the useful life, I recommend another brand.Compressor runs, coils ultimately rust and fail.

Item works like a new unit
My unit came double packaged with all accessories and amazon invoice. Mine was shipped from Edison NJ. No dents No marks.Make sure to read directions, which state to wait 24hrs before using it due to the transport of the unit. I've have several other units, including a kenmore and GE units. The unit loudness is about the same as the others, but it excels in many ways:

DEFECTIVE
It took me a while to order this, based on the reviews I read. So here goes...
Refurb DeLongi toaster oven
I purchased this item in October `05. It worked OK for a month. Then the lower heating element stopped heating. It has been in a DeLongi warranty shop for three months and is not repaired yet. DeLongi `Customer Service` has not been too helpful , saying only it takes time for parts to come from Italy!

Very Italian???
I was looking for a new inexpensive oven toaster, and found this DeLonghi's refurb. First, I thought it was a great deal, but I got confused when I read customer reviews, some said it's good, and some said it's terrible. Regular price of $64, now it's $29, I decided to give it a try. Sure, I was expecting a scratch, maybe a little dent too.

Great bargain
The unit we recieved didn't even have a scratch on it. It was obviously fully reconditioned since the first time we turned it on it made that special "smell" all ovens make the first time they turn on.
Reconditioned Toaster oven and Rotisserie.
The door on this unit does not fit flush, when it is turned on it heats up the whole room. Does not have a good seal on the door unit. When this unit was received it was suppose to include two interior racks and it only contained one.
Flimsy construction
I ordered this unit, unboxed it, and noticed the door was hanging down on one side so that it left a gap at the top on that side. I guess if I wanted to heat the kitchen in addition to the food, this would be a desirable feature.
