No way to repair
I purchased this toaster because of styling and features.However, after two years of moderate use, one set of heating coils stopped working.Normally this should be a straightforward repair (clean, repair, or replace elements).
Disappointment
My sister-in-law has this toaster and I thought hers did a good job.So, I buy one and I'm thoroughly disappointed.It toasts unevenly - one side gets dark the other is still soft AND it also toasts unevenly on the same side!The top is close to burnt and the bottom is o.k.Definitely not worth the money.

Disappointed
I received this item as a gift this year.My last deep fryer died after 5 faithful years of service.I used the Euro-Pro deep fryer probably a maximum of 5 times within 6 months, and it died.I have always taken good care of all of my kitchen appliances, and was really disappointed that this brand of deep fryer did not last long.I would never buy another Euro-Pro product as it seems (from my research) that their appliances are not quality.

Great So Far
I bought this locally to replace an old Rival deep fryer that just quit. The first one I brought home had a broken brace on the heating element. It was exchanged with no problem and the second has no apparent defects. After reading all the negative reviews I wanted to use it at least once before the 14 day exchange period was up. Like others I went looking for this model because it was one Alton Brown liked. The features he liked were the large oil capacity, immersion element with high wattage, thermostat, filter, ease of cleanup, and stainless construction. All make it a desirable machine. Euro-Pro's iffy quality control makes it something of a gamble. I put 5 liters of oil in it and fried up some vegetables as an appetizer for dinner last night. So far this is a great fryer. I have had the Presto Fry Daddy's and the Rival this replaced. This unit is much closer to a professional fryer you would find in a restaurant kitchen. It heats up the oil fast and returns it to temperature very fast. Food comes out crispy and not greasy. I am very pleased with the unit but will withold final judgement until it has proven itself durable.

Good item -- but read the manual
For the poor folks who are complaining about the "EEE" display, I haven't had the same problems.Customer support for this has been really professional and prompt at the 800 number.The "EEE" problem is a result of people not reading the instructions about not immersing the control panel in water.Don't do it.The panel is electronic and electronics don't work when they're filled with water.

A bit disappointed with Krups
Style, size and features are fine.But this toaster simply does not provide a nice even toasted surface on the bread.

Chrome version, lasted 5 minutes
I got this toaster as a wedding gift, and apparently it's a lemon.I just took it out of the box and followed the instructions to turn it on for awhile at the highest setting without bread to get rid of the 'new' smell (which was indeed prominent).I cancelled the toasting after a few minutes, put bread in... and it would not work.None of the buttons worked, and the bread would not stay down.The toasting unit would not come on.I tried another outlet, even though I knew the first was working fine--still won't work.My advice:Buy a Toastmaster.My parents have one and it is awesome.

slow and lever breaks
I guess I was lucky, I made it 1 and half years before my left lever decided to stop gong down. While I thought it was slow, I was always happy with the results. I never burned anything using this toaster. After looking into getting it repaired I think it would be easier and probably cheaper to just get a new toaster. Having the lever for the left side stop working seems to be a recurring theme with this toaster.

Bad DeLonghi Experience
We purchased a DeLonghi toaster oven and both the toaster and oven functions stopped working right after the one year warranty expired. We barely used this product. When contacting customer service we were told that there were no replacement parts available for our model and there was nothing we could do and nothing they would do for us. My $20 toastmaster lasted more than 15 years! This is the last time I buy a toaster based on appearance!

I was disappointed in this purchase eventhough it's a very nice looking piece.The door is a little cheap as others have said.But also the top knob had fallen off inside the package, there was no utencil to take the tray out (manual says it's included) and lastly, underneath where the top knob goes was dirt that was there from the previous user.That was disgusting.You'd think they'd clean that at some point in the reconditioning process.So far it is working okay, it is quite large and toasts fine.I'm not all too happy, good luck if you do go for this model, I hope you get a better unit.Reconditioned is always sketchy, I try to stay away when I can. ... FANTASTICMACHINE!
This is a great machine. It did just what I wanted it to do which was to make soft, swirly ice cream out of regular ice cream.It could do one flavor on the bottom and one flavor on the top which I love! It was easy to make and use! I am lactose intolerant and I was able to use soy ice cream in this machine!

I bought this toaster with a gold box offer and was happy till the first time I used it. Was roasting walnuts and by the time the walnuts were golden, the rest of the toaster was in smoke: must've dropped a walnut from the tray, but didn't expect the whole toaster to be covered in dark film (impossible to remove unless you want to use some hard chemicals on it). Now instead of a nice looking white toaster I have an ugly brownish one with cracked plastic around the glass door (it was used pretty gently but the crack still appeared about two weeks after I got this toaster). And all these in addition to either not toasting well enough or burning toasts if they are thicker than half an inch. Do not waste your money on this one! ... Read more

Just out of warranty, FIRE!
Great fryer for 12.5 months. Thermostat burned up and got hot enough to melt it's plastic housing.It sent molten flaming bits of plastic on to my counter top and filled my kitchen with smoke.

does nothing my old fryer can not...
I got this expecting crisper fries etc..but they seem soggier..follow all the directions but not impressed. Several things wrong with this. I do not have children so not happy with these "magnetic" plugs..They pop off very easily..There should be a provision to have a normal plug for more stability. The other thing I do not like is the gimicky filtration system. Most of the crumbs stick along the sides of the container and fall between the little space of the strainer and container..therefore they go to the bottom and never get filtered out...plus..cleaning is a chore..to many parts to take out and clean..The filter does nothing..same greasy smell in the house..My old unit had 2 pieces...basket and unit. Also goes up to 400 degrees...this goes to 375..maybe that is why things come out somewhat soggy and greasy. Taking it back and digging out the old cheapo fryer...save your money.

LOVE AT FIRST TOAST
I got this toaster almost 7 years ago while living alone and subsisting on bagles as a primary food group. Once my husband and I married and moved in together, the toaster got twice as much use; and with the addition of our daughter and her love for toaster waffles, it has seen even more wear and tear. AND, after all these years, we have not had a single problem with it toasting properly. We have been very happy with it! I see that a lot of other people have left reviews that it doesn't toast evenly, but we have never had that problem. I love the chrome exterior and the retro style, too. My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to clean, but since we only use it for bread items, I don't get overly concerned about the crumbs that I can't remove. WE LOVE OUR TOASTER!

Doesn't toast the tops
The toasting slots are too shallow.When I use normal, presliced bread, the top half-inch of my toast doesn't get toasted at all.

If you like burnt toast, this is for you

terrible
This coffee maker is terrible. The rest of the reviews are too nice to explain the problems and offer solutions. The instruction manual is so unhelpful and I have managed to have burnt myself almost every time using it because most of the water ended up outside the carafe (either on the floor or counter) rather than inside. Save your money and buy from a reputable maker.

Not Good
No problem setting up. Turn it on brews then turns off. The bad, The carafe pours very slowly and drips. I have not managed to brew a decent tasting cup of coffee yet. At least not as good as the $15.00 pot it replaced. I got it on sale at Macys for $28.00 and still don't feel it was worth it. I am going to buy something else and toss this one.

I bought this in December, it quit working in July. I agree with previous reviews about the cord being too short, detaching too easily, and difficulty draining the oil.

Absolute piece of junk. Oil heated and then quit heating after expensive food was placed in it. After oil cooled to barely warm, it started heating again. Ruined the food. Ruined dinner. Sure glad I didn't have company over for dinner. Should have left the shrimp in it when I returned it.

Great for all types of toasting
We replaced our old T-Fal Avanti toaster (which we had for 10 yrs) with this new model.It's just as good if not better.It evenly toasts bagels, toast, etc.

Consumer Reports is wrong! terrible toaster!
We purchased this toaster a little over a month ago based on Consumer Reports rating this a great toaster.I do not know what toaster they tested, however it could not have been this one.Since getting the toaster it has consistantly demonstrated that it can burn toast and bagles at any setting.The worst feature is that you can burn something at setting 3 and lower it to 2 and it still burns or does not hardly even toast.The other poor design on the toaster is that it is very shallow.Any bread that is not of standard Wonder Bread size either is not toasted on the top or if it is a longer slice of bread will not fit at all.I almost feel bad taking this piece of junk to a charity donation drop off.

Finally, even toast!!!
We have gone through about 4 toasters over the past 3 years and this one fianlly is the keeper!We ALWAYS had a problem with toast being dark or burnt on one side and practially completely untoasted on the other. Or maybe there were hot spots in the elements and one area of the toast always got burnt. Some of the toasters would pop up before the toast was done. Other brands we had were Krups, Cuisinart and Toastmaster. We had accepted that we would just have to buy a new one every 6 months or so.This one has been with us 6 months, use it daily sometimes multiple time daily, it still pops up perfect toast. There is a "lifter" that will raise the carriage up so if you make English muffins or somthing small you don't have to reach down into it and burn your fingers getting it out. (My favorite feature) Also, has a NEAT warmer feature, so you dont have to burn your toast to warm it up again if you had to go change a diaper while it cooked. Crumb catcher on bottom slides out easily. Super toaster, looks sharp on counter too. It is a little big, but that is the only thing I could complain about. A Success, At Last
Over the last 8 years, I've purchased at least 5 coffee automatic drip coffee pots for my mom and for me.They have ranged from cheap to expensive. Expensive for me is in the $80 to $100 range.The last coffee pot I bought for my mom was a Melitta with the auto time set.While she loved the unit, it went to the coffee pot graveyard in just a little over a year when the heating unit burned out.A couple of my previous purchases were thermos-style units.My biggest complaints over all the coffee pots were (1) coffee not hot enough, (2) coffee didn't really taste that great, (3) pot not big enough, which happens most on thermos units, and (4) failure of the unit in too short a time, particularly for the more expensive units. Do Not Buy!
I bought this coffeemaker as a gift for my sister and was so embarrassed when she took it out of the box. First, the plastic top is extremely cheap and flimsy, and the whole thing broke off the first time we flipped it back. There was also a grey powder film over the whole appliance. Finally, it is just not good looking at all...extremely cheap in appearance. It did not even make it to the countertop before we had it back in the box and on its way back to Amazon. Very spiffy toaster
This toaster is very good looking and feels pretty substantial for the price.It doesn't have that super-duper professional look and feel you get with a $100+ toaster, but it's much better aesthetically than others in its price range.Larger slices of bread don't quite fit, but they toast pretty well even without flipping them around.

If you have the counter space, here's a toaster for you!

My greatest kitchen purchase...
I really just wanted a dough mixer, and once I got this machine I realized it was capable of SO much more.Kitchenaid puts expandability to their mixers that rules the kitchen.Now, I'm making pasta, milling grain and making ice cream as well as shredding items for cooking.
REALLY REALLY LOUD
I have just called today to get a second replacement for the refurbished kitchen aid I purchased a month ago.The first was really loud and growly, but the second one is really loud and ear-piercingly annoying.It is hard to even be in the same room with it on.The Kitchen Aid person I spoke will said they are all noisy due to metal gears.Let's just hope the next replacement is tolerable or I spent an awful lot on a lemon.

I ordered the Factory-Reconditioned KitchenAid RRKP50 Professional 5 Series 5-Quart Stand Mixer, in White.It looked brand new and I cannot believe I went this long without it.I use it for everything from heavy bread dough to cookie dough.It has held up perfectly since I purchased it 10 months ago.I am very please with KitchenAid products and have since purchased some of their other kitchen products.

Better than many others I've tried
We went through 3 other toasters, searching for a decent quality one. ("They just don't make things like they used to", you know?) We've had this one for about 4 years, and although we only use it occasionally, it works just fine. We've bought other Rowenta appliances, and they are well-made compared to other brands.

We love this deep fryer!
We have had our deep fryer for a little over a year and we use it several times a month.It works very well and is simple to use.The only problem we have had is that after about 9 months, the handle on the basket wouldn't hold in the raised position anymore, so we had to replace it.When we called the manufacturer, we figured that it would still be under warranty.It wasn't and we had to pay about $15 to have a new basket sent to us.Other than that, we have loved having this deep fryer!!

I just got this deep fryer in the mail the other day and I couldnt wait to use it, what a big disappointment. The next day I decided I would try something easy like a batch of french fries. The product sets up really easy and its pretty straight forward when using. The one and only problem that I have encounter which to me is a BIG PROBLEM is that each time I pulled the strainer out of the oil to empty the fries I had to reset the heating element. Its a pain since you have to lift the entire heating element out of the hot oil and press a button on the back of the unit. I made 3 batches of fries and each time I had to reset the switch. great blender
This is a beautiful and very outstanding blender.I love all the Delongi appliances.This blender has several speeds and types of blending actions.Will turn ice to snow in a matter of seconds.Just like the old Osters did in the 60's.I love this appliance.Great buy for me.

Fragile Italian Design with far too many parts
Like many say it has a nice design but functionally it is poor.The Glass Jar has 8 parts, the Steel Jar has 7 parts, and glass jar broke within 6 months of light use.I also second the fact that this unit is prone to leaking and as a professional chef I can tell you this is not worth the time or money as there are better products out there.
