It's peeling in less than 6 months
I have to agree with the reviews that say it's a piece of junk.I've had it for less than 6 months, used it maybe a dozen times and the other day I start seeing black shreds of something in my scrambled eggs.I couldn't believe it was the spatula peeling.I absolutely expected better. Don't waste your money.

i don't know what these other people are cooking,,,
but this works fine for me. yeah, it melts, but, *NEWSFLASH* pans are hot when you cook! 400 degrees comes pretty quickly when you're a hunk of aluminum sitting on top of an open flame!

Threw It Away
We had one of these for over a year. We bought it because of the Calphalon name and it is a piece of junk for anything other than turning something super-light and firm like appetizers or bacon. Excellent tool.
I love this spatula/cutter, I use it specially to cut lettuce, because is nylon it prevents the lettuce from becoming brown and old looking the next day.I've used it to cut pizza, cakes and soft veggies. I love it.

Calphalon Complements Nylon Baking Spatula/Cutter
This is perfect for cooking, but it just need to be a inch or two wider.This would be even better for cutting and lifting food off of the cookie sheet.

Flexible
My only problem with this spatula/cutter is that it is too flexible.If you are looking for something that won't bend when you try to use it as a spatula-- don't buy this.

my one and only spatula
It doesn't damage my ice cream bowl so even though I've wished it was stiffer to scrape the frozen ice cream off the sides, I'm glad I got this one.The double ends comes in handy and the color in the cheapest price, sky, is pretty.
So great I keep getting more and giving as gifts
I now own 3 of these.We use them so often that they don't get washed before we want to use it again.I have given them away to many members of my family and everytime I'm on Amazon, I'm tempted to buy more.

Nylon Tongs
I wasn't sure about buying this item because of some of the bad reviews I read here but then decided to take the risk. I'm glad I bought it. I like Calphalon products a lot so far. All I have by this company is great. This product works really well. I will definitely recommend it. This product doesn't seem very durable but it's ok for what I paid for it. I wanted to buy another of this one for later (when the one I have wore out) but it's not available at the momment.

I love Calphalon products and this one is no different. It works really well and did not let my fish break apart, I will definitely recommend it,the price is very good as well.
Not very strong
Maybe I was applying too much pressure but these tongs bent everytime I used them to pick something up.For the record, I did not use them to cook so there was no wild variation in temperature.
