poor quality, cheap construction
I'm a fan of this type corkscrew.However, don't fall for the hype around a "well known" name or the advertised "German construction."My reaction when I unpacked this corkscrew was "what a cheap rip-off".I was replacing a wing type corkscrew that had lasted over ten years, cost ten bucks, and felt substantial when used.This corkscrew meets the cost criteria, but has a cheap, tinny feel.I wondered if it would break before I got the cork off (it didn't).Still, I'm using the standard bartender corkscrew and will be buying a wing type from a store where I can see the quaility before I buy.For the workmanship and quality, this corkscrew is overpriced at seven bucks. ... Outdoor temp. stopped working
I bought this for my husband's birthday, 12/31.He started using it then and only 1 month later, the outdoor temp. feature does not work.The sensor still displays the outdoor temperature, but it doesn't transmit it to the main display.We will be sending this back but I don't have much hope.Too bad as it is an extremely handy device.

Not Really Worth the Hassle
I have owned my Orange X juice press for four years.I took it to the thrift store this morning and am searching for a replacement.I purchased the juicer with the intent of squeezing lemons, limes and oranges for cooking purposes.It looks nice on my counter and I found it wasn't all that difficult to clean.

Very nice
I also own an All-Clad soup ladle, which I purchased from Amazon for the same price.This twin-select is just as nice, and it doesn't leave fingerprints all over either.It has a nice heft to it, and I prefer the handle on the Henckels to the All-Clad.It's more comfortable and natural to use- the All-Clad one requires an awkward position to correctly ladle soup.

Looks pretty but...
Looks pretty but the shaker is actually quite a pain to use. Why? When you put ice and drink ingredients in the shaker and seal it with the well fitting lid, the cold creates a vacuum inside the shaker. Thus, separating the lid from the tin becomes INSANELY difficult, slowing down your drink making. Also, there's no built in strainer; if you're going to buy a shaker you might as well get one that has the strainer built in. This shaker only looks good on the shelf, where it will happily gather dust for you. Professionals use a pint glass, mixing tin, and strainer which have a steeper learning curve. However, once you learn the technique those three items are WAY easier to mix with.

Hasn't worked for me once
I recieved this as a Christmas present and so far it's 0 for 4 in removing the wax seals from wine bottles. This has happened on 4 separate bottles, each a different brand, so the problem lies with the device itself and not a particular brand's bottle. The Wonderful Screwpull Wax Remover!
