1-0 out of 5 stars Worst coffee maker ever
This thing takes an hour to brew a pot and makes the biggest mess ever. The coffee is weak and it is impossiable to clean.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not Strong enough...
My husband and I are from Seattle, where we take our coffee very seriously. This product proved to be tempting with it's built in grinder/timer (the fresher the grind the better cup of coffee). However, we have found this feature to be sub-par, as the grind isn't adjustable, and it tends to be too large, therefore not emitting enough of the coffee flavor. We have just bypassed the whole grinding option, and gone back to grinding our own...and now the carafe just broke!Buy something else.

1-0 out of 5 stars THESE BREAK DOWN! NO WONDER THEY'RE REFURBISHED!
I have purchased and used 4 of these Cuisinart machines. Although I love the ability to have fresh ground coffee in the morning, they ARE difficult to clean--too many parts to take out, clean and put back every day.

Editorial Review

Called the BrewStation because there is no "pot" involved, this 12-cup countertop unit from Hamilton Beach keeps coffee hot and fresh until youÕre ready for a cup. The enclosed brewing system only dispenses coffee when you depress the trigger with your mug--otherwise, the coffee stays inside, where it's kept hot and flavorful. Mid-brew dispensing makes the appliance handy for anybody in a hurry, and a translucent indicator shows you the liquid level at a glance. An internal warming heater and double-wall thermal insulation maintain brew temperature and freshness, so thereÕs no hot plate to scorch coffee or make it bitter. Operation is similar to other electric makers, and the entire brew tank removes for easy cleaning. A clock and timer let you set the coffeemaker in advance, and an automatic safety mechanism cuts power after two hours. Other helpful details include a power indicator light and a drip tray. The station measures 10 by 10-1/2 and needs 14 inches of under-the-cupboard clearance. Read more

Features

  • Remanufactured to like-new condition; includes 90-day warranty
  • Easy, one-hand dispensing with no need for a carafe
  • Gentle warming heater and enclosed brewing system maximizes flavor
  • Double-wall thermal insulation traps heat to keep coffee tasting fresh longer
  • Measures 10 by 10-1/2 by 14 inches

1-0 out of 5 stars Warning on Brewstation
It's a nice idea, but they are cheaply made and don't last very long.In the space of 2 years, Brewstation number 3 has just quit working (doing what the other reviewer stated-just blinking on and off and you have to unplug it to reset it).The first one was purchased new and lasted 13 months-1 month after the extended warranty I bought.I figured it was just a fluke, and liked the design, so went out and bought another new one.It lasted about 7 months before it checked out into that big coffeemaker station in the sky.I wrote Hamilton Beach and was happy that they responded, and they had me cut off the plug and send it to them, and they sent me number 3.That was about 7 months ago and now this one has percolated it's last. So, instead of constantly replacing $10.00 broken decanters, I'm spending $50.00 to replace Brewstations.Great idea, Hamilton Beach, cheap product.I would pass.

5-0 out of 5 stars better tasting coffee in this pot.
I was worried about buying a refurbished item. But this was like brand new. No problems at all. I love coffee, to the point that i collect coffee cups. This is the best coffee maker i've owned. I use the same amount of coffee as i did in my other pots. The coffee taste stronger, and we never run out anymore. I love not having to pick up a glass pot and pour. just stick your cup under it, and there it is.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Logical complaint or two
This coffee maker is very stylish and contemporary which I love, and the coffee does taste great, especially the caramel truffle it came with when i bought it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty fantastic little machine
My mother bought this for myself and my husband for xmess about 4 years ago.We were in love! The coffee is amazing, better than anything you can get at St@rb*cks and waking up to freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee is a fine motivator to get out of bed in the morning.
4-0 out of 5 stars Coffee shop coffee
I bought this unit 6 or 7 years ago and have loved it ever since.Features like the programmable timer, water heat selection, self clean are all useful, but what makes this a great coffee maker is that it grinds the coffee and passes hot water through it within seconds of finishing the grind. That you can program this so you can have fresh ground and brewed coffee waiting for you in the morning is one of the finer things in life.
5-0 out of 5 stars absolutely love this and mine is durable!
I've had mine for 2+ years and have used it every day with no problems at all.The coffee is the best I've ever tasted....nothing beats fresh ground beans.I love waking up to the sound of the grinder, and when it's finished brewing, the machine makes a beeping sound to let you know........it's like a snooze alarm.I think it's actually easy to clean, just 3 parts to wash. ... By steeping ground coffee for nearly 2 minutes to begin the brewingprocess, this coffee maker delivers up to 10 cups of full-flavored coffee andthen keeps it warm in an insulated thermos-carafe for hours. The thermos-carafeseals in heat during the brewing process and afterward to lock in flavor. Thiseliminates the need for a warming plate, which can turn coffee bitter. Formaking wake-up coffee, the machine's programmable clock-timer can be set up to24 hours in advance. There's also an automatic interrupter that halts coffeeflow for 20 seconds during the brewing cycle if the thermos-carafe is removedfor a quick pour. For best results, remove the carafe from the base when the brewing process is complete, sealing off the carafe and insuring hot coffee. This sleek coffee maker measures 8-1/2 by 15-1/2 inches highby 8-1/2 inches wide by 10-1/4 inches deep. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Carafe exploded
We've had this coffeemaker for about 10 months now and so far it has worked reasonably well. I have to admit that the coffee is not as hot as I would like it though, when brewed. However what is more upsetting is that the carafe exploded on me today after it had been washed. We are very careful with the carafe and always handwash and take good care of it. Is there a replacement carafe? Can Krups replace this?
3-0 out of 5 stars Okay
We have had this coffee maker for a few years but have had some problems.
5-0 out of 5 stars Looks Great and Tastes Great!
I love this coffee maker from Krups. It's the best coffee maker I have ever had. It looks so elegant on my countertop and it produces great tasting coffee. I also like the size. 10 cups were more than enough for all my guests. I definitely recommend it. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
The coffeemaker is a piece of junk. I bought this for my son for his birthday and he got it and it worked two times and then it didnt come back on. So I sent it back and they replaced it with another one and it worked for the first day and it quit working too. So I requested a refund.

3-0 out of 5 stars Russel Hobbs coffee maker
Good coffee maker for the price, although getting the coffee in the filter is a little difficult.

1-0 out of 5 stars Benefit of the doubt
I was online searching endlessly for a coffeemaker that had certain features. Well this one was the perfect size, it had a timer and the stainless steel feature was what i was looking for. I had read the reviews on this product and none of them were good, but the price was right so i gave it a try. When i received it there was already a plastic piece broken off and when i put water in it all came out the bottom. I returned it the next day wishing i had listened to the negative reviews. There is a reason why its priced so cheap, because it is cheap. ... Read more

With a stainless-steel thermal carafe, the TCMATD Toastmaster coffee maker from Rival keeps its brew piping hot. The carafe holds 8 cups and thanks to its insulation and heat-retaining properties, it keeps java fresh much longer than glass counterparts. The machine's LCD clock and timer mechanism can be pre-programmed to produce perfectly-timed piping-hot beverages first thing in the morning or just as dessert is about to be served. And for those without patience, carafe removal automatically pauses the maker's dripping flow to allow for spill-free brewing interruptions. Safety features include a lighted on/off switch and an auto shut-off system. The cone filter basket offers a removable liner for simplified cleaning while an integrated easy-to-read water level indicator keeps the maker from running dry. When not in use, the cord stows easily tucked out of sight. The machine wipes clean with a damp cloth and should never be immerse in water. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE POT!!!
Dad told me not to throw the old coffee pot away before we tried this new one.I didn't listen. This Toastmaster Stainless Steel Coffee Maker is the worst coffee pot ever made.Ditto with the other comments about spillage, inconvenience, and too quick shut-off time. And only 8 cups at a time.I thought it was a 12 cup pot but I was mistaken.Useless coffee pot.Who wants to start their day off with this kind of hassle. Not me!Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.deanna

1-0 out of 5 stars Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker
I hoped this would be an excellent way of having coffeee made and kept warm. Right away I had difficulty with the coffee brewing and pouring anywhere but into the carafe. I called Toastmaster who told me a particular way I had to put the carafe and the funnel but although it improved short term it proved too awkward to keep getting it "right" and could not rely on walking away to let it brew alone or put the timer on. I would like to return the coffee maker but have not done so yet.

Editorial Review

For those who are intimidated by complex home electronics, Bosch's basic 900-watt coffeemaker brews up to 12 cups of java and requires no programming besides flipping the power switch on. The unit has special brewing and aroma systems that bring out excellent flavor in coffee. Ground coffee goes in the nondrip insert filter, which takes No. 4 paper filters and removes easily for rinsing by hand or running through the dishwasher. A water-level indicator is visible from both sides of the coffeemaker for monitoring the number of cups that are brewing. Coffee brews through the closed lid of the included glass carafe without spilling, for more convenient serving. Removing the carafe during brewing activates the brewing pause feature, which prevents coffee from dripping until the carafe is back on its plate. The machine automatically shuts off after brewing for safety, and the thermal carafe keeps coffee warm. This compact unit stands 12-1/2 inches high, measures 7-1/2 inches wide, and is 9-3/4 inches deep, plus it features a cord rewind space on the back for storage. Bosch covers this model with a one-year warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Success, At Last
Over the last 8 years, I've purchased at least 5 coffee automatic drip coffee pots for my mom and for me.They have ranged from cheap to expensive. Expensive for me is in the $80 to $100 range. The last coffee pot I bought for my mom was a Melitta with the auto time set. While she loved the unit, it went to the coffee pot graveyard in just a little over a year when the heating unit burned out.A couple of my previous purchases were thermos-style units. My biggest complaints over all the coffee pots were (1) coffee not hot enough, (2) coffee didn't really taste that great, (3) pot not big enough, which happens most on thermos units, and (4) failure of the unit in too short a time, particularly for the more expensive units.1-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy!
I bought this coffeemaker as a gift for my sister and was so embarrassed when she took it out of the box. First, the plastic top is extremely cheap and flimsy, and the whole thing broke off the first time we flipped it back. There was also a grey powder film over the whole appliance. Finally, it is just not good looking at all...extremely cheap in appearance. It did not even make it to the countertop before we had it back in the box and on its way back to Amazon. I went with the Bosch on their reputation for the greatest dishwashers. Evidently, another company designs and manufacturers their small appliances. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!! Get the Braun KF550-BK AromaDeluxe instead! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Espresso makers can be tricky but the Artese is designed to be less intimidating than most and, in addition to being easy to use, it brews excellent espresso. This pump espresso machine has an advanced Thermobloc system with 15 bars of pressure to consistently deliver delicious espresso, cappuccino, or latté drinks. Advanced electronic controls let you tailor the coffee to your taste. You may alter the water flow for each cycle so that the precise amount of espresso is brewed at the desired strength. A memo button sets your preferences so you can have your coffee just as you like it every day. The Artese is also one of the only pump machines with an adjustable portafilter, allowing you to accommodate varying amounts of espresso--a single versus a double shot--by simply turning a dial rather than having to change the filter as is required on most other machines. Additionally, the CLARIS water filtration system improves your coffee’s taste by filtering out 85 percent of the chlorine taste and other harmful minerals found in tap water.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Great!!.....but not.
I've had this machine for 2 years which is why I gave it 2 stars. At first I was impressed, but as I got better at being a barister I found the milk didn't get as hot as I would like.I got great foam, just not enough heat. The clean up for the steamer got to be a drag. But this didn't make me dislike the machine. It was when the electrical went haywire that I began to dislike this machine. The machine turns on but when you push the button for 1 or 2 cups of espresso, the machine immediately turns off.I turn it back on, wait and the game begins, will it or won't it give me an espresso. Some days I win the game after a couple of hours and some days the machine wins and I'm off to Starbucks for a fix. My next machine will be a simple one.

5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful machine
I bought this machine 8 months ago. It makes the best espresso, latte and cappuccino. It is so easy to use and clean. It make a nice foam even if I can froth half and half but in this case you have to raise the milk container about 3 inches higher (because the liquid is denser). I paid for this machine $229. Also I bought another one to use it in my office lately.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice but no foam
I just got mine and still learning how to use it.The espresso is great, however I am a Latte drinker and I can not get the foamer to create foamed milk.In fact the milk is not very hot that comes out of the tap.Turning the tap all the way to the bottom produces steam, however it does no seem in infuse it into the milk. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great for the price
This is a great machine for the price. The froth comes out nice and the espresso is very good.I think most people break these because they put in the wrong kind of beans (too much oil). This is a great value!Highly recommended!

1-0 out of 5 stars Unreliable, but great if it isn't broken
Mine (a new one, not a refurbished one) required sending back 3 times during the warrantee period. For this reason, I cannot recommend it. However, when it works it makes great coffee, provides steam quickly, and has a number of great features. The dump box that receives the coffee grounds is very small and is hard to get to for emptying and cleaning. This is identical to the Gaggia Syncrony Compact.

4-0 out of 5 stars good espresso, easy to use
I just got this refurbished Charisma espresso machine a few days ago. The refurbished machine is perfectly new. I don't think anyone ever used it, other than Amazon checking the machine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Coffee Machine
I have had this machine for a little over a year now.It works perfectly every morning!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good coffee maker
I got this for Christmas over a year ago, and it still works great!I use it most every morning. The coffee quality isn't as good as my drip maker - no pod coffee maker can ever measure up to a drip maker - but it's very easy to brew just one cup and with no cleanup (except to remove the used pod!).
4-0 out of 5 stars I love it, despite its faults
I love my pod coffee maker, despite the machine's flaws. If you don't get the pod in there JUST RIGHT, the water leaks out around the pod's edges and sprays out everywhere. After many false starts, I finally learned to really squish the pod down into the pod holder. I haven't been sprayed in months. I love how you can brew just one cup at a time, which is all I ever have. I switched to another brand of coffee pods, though--I think the Juan Valdez pods come in excessive packaging. 1-0 out of 5 stars Tempermental - at best.
I, too, purchased my first Saeco Italia machine from Starbucks.I bought the machine without the digital display.Recall tells me it was selling for $800, but on sale over the holidays for $600. I think the digital was (at the time) selling for around $1,000, on sale for $800.
5-0 out of 5 stars Have had my Italia for over a year and a half...
I love my Italia and it works wonderfully!I take care of it by making sure it get descaled every 4 months, which is important. Also, the directions clearly state to turn machine off when not in use...I've found this is also a useful tip to ensure machine works properly. It gets quite hot, so leaving it on for extended periods of time (like over an hour or two) will cause the espresso to have less froth. If you follow the directions, you will get perfect shots everytime.People love to come to my house for coffee!

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T DO IT-- The worst ofthe Saeco line
Breaks a lot -- hard to repair..... I know, I repair 'em!

Editorial Review

For homemade, professional-quality cappuccinos and lattes, it takes a pump-style, continuous-pressure espresso machine to do the job right. The Krups FNC3 Novo 3000 Premium espresso maker fills that bill, and it looks darned good while doing it. The handsome black and stainless steel unit is compact but robust, with 1000 watts of power behind its high-pressure pump. A patented Thermobloc pressure system provides evenly sustained pressure for consistent espresso shots. The one-liter water reservoir provides multiple shots of espresso without needing to be refilled; when it is time to refill the tank, it's removable to make it easier. In addition to a traditional milk-steaming arm, there is an automatic cappuccino system for perfect frothing with no mess. Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Works pretty well with ESE pods
I have not had much luck using this with real ground espresso. The usual problems, either very little espresso or none at all. A soupy mess when trying to empty the coffee. Perhaps I just don't tamp or grind very well!
3-0 out of 5 stars So far.. average
I must say that I'm not an expert on expressos nor expresso machines. But so far, with the right grind and the right tamping you get a fine expresso. I've just bought the machine so I'm still getting there.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Machine When Used With Care
I've read several reviews good and bad on this unit.I can't comment on machines that are actually defective, but I have learned some tips that might account for disappointing experiences by other owners.
