Very Pleased
We have been using these for several years now.For refrigerator storage and reheating, we use these containers almost daily.I remember the lids were a bit stiff at first, but not impossible unless you are over 80.
nice set for the price
This is a real nice set for $10.The individual pieces would cost twice that amount.The dishes are nice sizes, not the tiny ones you see in other set.I have not experienced the shattering problem that some others have reported, but I use these dishes for storage and microwaving, not baking.

These Are Excellent and Air Tight
I'm a little puzzled by the review stating that these containers don't nest and that the lids are hard to remove.I'm very demanding about kitchen equipment, and well, they nest and the lids are not hard to remove.I could care less about the little vents that allow you to re-heat stuff in the microwave.Probably works fine, but I don't use that feature.

Baking Grandma's Bread
As an amateur bread baker I was looking for some decent pans to replace the old, nearly rusted thrift store pans I always had to line with foil in order to use - generally to cook chicken in. I have a basic white bread recipe passed from my grandma that makes 4 loaves, and I needed something nicer to practice in if I was actually going to eat the results.These pans are Very nice - light colored on the inside they don't make the crust too dark, and they are very heavy & substantial.They are also non-stick, and I imagine I can cook chicken in there too!I originally purchased 2 to test them out, then 2 more to complete my set.The reason I did not give them 5 stars is they are slightly wider than I would like, which seems to prevent the bread from proofing quite as high.

I received this pan and right away I made banana bread in it. I can't believe how heavy it is and the price is great. The bread came right out and baked evenly. I just love it.

My greatest kitchen purchase...
I really just wanted a dough mixer, and once I got this machine I realized it was capable of SO much more.Kitchenaid puts expandability to their mixers that rules the kitchen.Now, I'm making pasta, milling grain and making ice cream as well as shredding items for cooking.
REALLY REALLY LOUD
I have just called today to get a second replacement for the refurbished kitchen aid I purchased a month ago.The first was really loud and growly, but the second one is really loud and ear-piercingly annoying.It is hard to even be in the same room with it on.The Kitchen Aid person I spoke will said they are all noisy due to metal gears.Let's just hope the next replacement is tolerable or I spent an awful lot on a lemon.

I ordered the Factory-Reconditioned KitchenAid RRKP50 Professional 5 Series 5-Quart Stand Mixer, in White.It looked brand new and I cannot believe I went this long without it.I use it for everything from heavy bread dough to cookie dough.It has held up perfectly since I purchased it 10 months ago.I am very please with KitchenAid products and have since purchased some of their other kitchen products.

Calphlon Bakeware - Busted
Calphalon bakeware is really over-rated. I thought this heavy gauge bakeware would last sometime with minimal use however, the non-stick surface lasted through one dish washing before starting to peel off.I bought a 2.00 cookie sheet at the dollar store and it has far out performed the calphalon bakeware.

Heavy-grade metal with a fragile coating
Most of the pieces in this set have been great for most baking that I've done. The non-stick coating is very easily scratched, so you have to be conscious of the kind of utensil you're using before you take a cookie off the sheet. Granted, the non-stick works well and baked goods tend to just fall right off. Another problem I've had is that the seam of the cups on the muffin pan rust when put in the dishwasher. It can be cleaned off, but it doesn't seem to reflect the expected Calphalon quality you should expect. The pans themselves are very heavy, and I feel like it would be difficult to make them warp.
Not really non-stick
I bought these about 1 and 1/2 years ago and have not had good success. I am sorely dissappointed.I have trouble with everything sticking to this stuff, I would not recommend buying this stuff. Even cookies stick! ... Read more
