1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible Product
This toaster is very cheaply made.It reaks of burining plastic whenever you use it.DO NOT BUY!

5-0 out of 5 stars So convenient & idiot-proof; my favorite kitchen appliance!
I was a bit skeptical when I read all the rave reviews for this toaster. All 100+ reviews sounded too good to be true. But the reviewers weren't lying.I don't know how to cook anything other than instant noodles & microwave dinners. But I managed to use this toaster to make my own "Egg McMuffin" in just a few minutes! You can't imagine the self-satisfaction I got from that. I couldn't even make an egg before without difficulty, but now I can easily accomplish that with this toaster. I'm also not much of a housekeeper, but cleaning up was a breeze. Just wash the 3 small trays and wipe the heating/water tray with a paper towel soaked in some white vinegar. I would have to waste a lot more time & wash a lot more stuff to make the same thing without this toaster, not to mention I don't actually have the skills to make it without this thing.
1-0 out of 5 stars Good idea, bad execution
I think this is a great idea HOWEVER, please be forewarned -

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
I have had this product for almost a year now and I absolutely love it! Cocoa ALWAYS comes out perfect. I've never used it for other drinks as I am not a coffee drinker, but I assume they come out just as good as the cocoa! I would recommend this to anyone :) :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Starbucks quality hot chocolate @ home
I received this item as a gift and it was the best present anyone could have given me! Not an item I would typically buy for myself, this hot cocoa maker has changed the way I feel about hot chocolate and other warm beverages. It is so easy to use allowing anyone to make Starbucks quality hot chocolate (and other beverages) out of store-bought powders at home. It's AMAZING!!!And every time it heats it to the perfect temperature making sure that even the youngest don't burn their tongues.
3-0 out of 5 stars Many flaws and problems...makes a good cup of cocoa though.
The first one I bought leaked after a week.It was replaced and the second machine leaked after 6 months...could not take it back because the store stopped stocking this machine.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not so green thumb!
Aerogarden doesn't live up to it claims.Plants on outside corners underperform. I contacted Aerogarden directly and they sent me a new pump, which means you have to disassemble the unit and take the plant pods out to install. New pump doesn't seem to make much difference.Save your $ and grow your herbs outside during growing season!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool gadget - one caveat
This is one of these more useful kitchen gadgets. Every time I need fresh herbs for a recipe, I end up buying one of those expensive packs, use one or two twigs, and end up tossing the rest, and everytime it irks me. So this looks like it solves that problem, and do so without becoming this huge time sink that a full-blown herb garden would do.
5-0 out of 5 stars Easy setup
I only just purchased my AeroGarden, so I have nothing to harvest just yet, but I wanted to comment on the high quality of the package, and the ease of setup.I was very pleasantly surprised. The instruction manual was clearly written and diagrammed. You simply screw in the light bulbs, attach the light to the base, add water, drop the seed packets into their slots (clearly marked), cover them, plug it in, drop in a couple of tablets and you're good to go.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's The Best Buy For The Money On The Market Today
This machine is not "breakable" as someone at this page has suggested. If you drop it on a tile floor maybe, or it falls from an airplane. Instead, it's the best buy on the market today. We tested all kinds of panini makers. Even the most expensive still produced just a sandwich. This one makes great panini sandwiches for a whole lot less and it will make four at a time. It has a true floating top that allows for sandwiches 2 to 2 and 1/2 inches thick. It's easy to clean off with a paper towel after cooking. It's nonstick so you don't have to add calories with oil or butter. Make a good panini bread yourself or get a nice sourdough roll and slice thinly.Wonderful!

5-0 out of 5 stars WORTH THE MONEY!!!
My friend purchased the Breadman Panini Maker a few months ago.Every time we spoke he was making some kind of Panini sandwich. He raved about this panini maker so I had to get one for myself.I LOVE IT!It is so easy to clean. It is such a wonderful item that I would've paid double the price if I new how well it worked. It's hard for me to believe that anyone could be disappointed with this item.

5-0 out of 5 stars great product
This panini maker is great, heats up fast, grills perfectly, works just as good as the ones that cost a lot more, and the clean-up is a breeze. I highly recommend it!!! ... Read more

Editorial Review

The SaladShooter makes a fabulous gift for those who like big, healthy salads loaded with veggies, homemade pizza with plenty of grated cheese, desserts topped with nuts or chocolate--find yourself in that portrait somewhere? Amazingly fast, the SaladShooter literally shoots out prepared food directly into a salad bowl or in neat piles for an assemble-your-own taco party. Featuring sharp stainless-steel cutting blades, the two interchangeable cones, one for shredding and one for slicing, each slip in and out of the main chute and are secured in place with a twist-lock ring. That’s all--no complicated parts to assemble. Food should be cut into blocks or lengths that fit into the food chamber, and a chart in the user guide specifies which cone to use for which foods. To operate, one hand grips the handle of the shooter and flips on the power switch, while the other hand presses down on the food guide to produce a steady output of shredded or sliced food. There’s no need to wash the parts in between processing different kinds of food, so shredded cheese, lettuce, carrots, and more are ready one after the other. All parts except the motor base can be washed in the dishwasher. The SaladShooter is not intended for grinding coffee or processing cranberries, tomatoes, or meats. Measuring 9-1/2 by 7 by 3-1/2 inches with a five-foot cord, the SaladShooter is covered by a two-year warranty against defects. Read more

Features

  • Quickly slices or shreds large amounts of vegetables, fruits and cheese
  • One ingredient after another can be added without cleaning in-between
  • Shoots food right into a salad bowl, onto a pizza, or into soup
  • Interchangeable slicing and shredding cones easily attach
  • Dishwasher-safe (excluding motor base); 9-1/2 by 7 by 3-1/2 inche

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Kitchen Gadget Ever
I'm so happy I accidentally stumbled across this when shopping here. It's really as good as everyone is saying here. It's small enough to tuck away nicely, and cleanup is a snap!
5-0 out of 5 stars replacement
The purchase of this salad shooter replaces our 7 year old shooter. The old one stopped working due to a worn out switch. I was informed by Presto that these items are not repairable. They do not carry parts to repair them. So now my wife has a new shooter that she uses daily and that saves her a lot of time. And now I don't mind helping her with grating the veges as the shooter takes all of the work out of it. It's also very easy to clean. Any one who cooks a lot should have one of these

5-0 out of 5 stars A great timesaver!
I have a Tea Room in TN and use a lot of grated cheese on a daily basis for quiche, soups, sandwiches, etc.The salad shooter saves a lot of time over grating the cheese by hand.My mom has a tea room also and I plan on ordering her one today! Thanks Presto! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Looking Forward to the New Kits
I have to agree with previous reviewwers comments about the selection of herbs in this kit.I would have preferred parsley, thyme and rosemary to some of the herbs in the kit.Two types of basil is just overkill when there is a separate basil kit.
4-0 out of 5 stars Tasty herbs, but why these?
Well, this is the kit I tried first, and the back row of plants & center front are doing the best. Both basils shoot right out of their pods. The Dill and Cilantro are growing tall, and there is lots of mint, but it is tiny. The chives are looped back into the sponge & have yet to try to stand up straight, and the Oregano is sprouting within the sponge, but has yet to come out of hiding. And this is at the beginning of week 2.I believe I could probably harvest a little basil at the end of week 3.

Editorial Review

This unusual rotating waffle maker is sure to elicit admiration from brunch guests. Made of brushed stainless steel with black accents, the unit not only looks elegant but cooks professionally. After ladling the batter into the deep nonstick bottom plate, the top is firmly closed. After ten seconds, by means of the insulated handle, the waffle maker is rotated upside down and allowed to cook for the remainder of the required time (recipes and times are included in the user guide). The result: two perfect 1-1/4-inch-thick Belgium waffles, crisp on the outside, moist on the inside. A dial features variable browning settings, and two lights indicate when the waffle maker is on and when to add batter. Two curved fixed legs keep the maker upright and a drip tray fits between them to collect any batter overflow. A release button on the handle allows it to collapse for storage. Measuring 7-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches, the cook plates can be wiped clean or conveniently removed and placed in the dishwasher. With the handle collapsed, the waffle maker measures 13 by 8-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches and is covered by a one-year warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Waffles!!
I was very pleased with this waffle iron. To my surprize, the waffles did Not stick to the grills and every waffle came out perfect every time! Infact, just as a test, I made a waffle without any oil or whatever, and it came out great! I also like the unique way the iron rotates and how fast the waffles cook. Clean-up was a breeze as well. For me, this product is worth the price! I only regret not purchasing it the first time around. I had previously purchased another brand of waffle iron.... and what a complete waste of money it was. I have never used Krups products before, but if they make all of their products as well as they make waffle irons, they've got my vote! Thank you for making a such a great product. I am so glad that I purchased this item. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it!!I highly recommend it!
I have four children plus lots of friends to make hot chocolate for and I got tired of having to stand over it to make sure that it didn't get too hot.I also got tired of it being too hot or too cool and the complaints that come along with that.I love the Cocomotion!I put everything in and walk away until it's done and then just pour.No more constant testing for temperature. It's plenty hot, but not where someone will get scalded if they sip too soon.It comes out so well mixed...it's just great!I know that as soon as I get the first batch poured, I should start the next because there are always requests for seconds!I don't find the clean-up to be a big deal, though I do agree that it would be nice if the pitcher detached from the unit.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's cold outside!
What a perfect little machine! I love my CocoMotion as it's perfect during winter when it's cold outside.Take it out of the box, rinse it once, pop in the little stirring dodad, add some milk, a few teaspoons full of hot chocolate mix, put the lid on and turn it on. Easy! You can use all kinds of different mix, it shuts off when the coco is ready and it's the perfect temp.I have had mine for two years and have not had a problem with it at all! It's easy to clean, store and underneith it has a spot to store the cord.

4-0 out of 5 stars Extruded pasta -- for rolled pasta, get a crank roller!
We make a lot of pasta at our house.Because of arthritus in my hands, hand kneeding is out of the question -- so to make up a batch of dough, I use either my Simac -- my bread machine -- or my food processor.Any of the three will make acceptable pasta dough. However you do need to know going in that the dough is going to be tougher, harder, and less pliable than any bread or cookie dough. It's basically a damp flour rock.
4-0 out of 5 stars EASY PASTA
I'm not sure what the other complaints are about. There are no new pasta makers on the market and this was previously considered the best. This is not a "pasta for dummies" machine. You need to use common sense and alrady feel comfortable cooking. But is is a million times easier than pasta from scratch.I love this machine and will use it for years to come. . .

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed
I bought the Simac MX700 PastaMatic Pasta Maker to replace my Cuisinart pasta maker. My Cuisinart was a bull at making pasta. It made 1-1/2 pounds at a time and was never a problem.I do not feel the same way about the Simac.Mine would overheat during extruding. Also, it barely made enough pasta to feed my family of 4.It finally died after 1-1/2 years of use. When I say died I mean it started smoking and making very strange noises. Also, there is no way I was going to send it back to Italy for service. I have resigned myself to purchasing homemade pasta at the store. I wish I could find a better pasta machine. What I really wish is that Cuisinart still made a pasta machine. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Concepts Electronix Hot Diggity Dogger -Best appliance I ever bought!
I bought the Hot Diggity Dogger many years ago. We are still using it!! My kids have made their own hot dogs for years. My middle one loves it. He is getting his own place now and I am going to get him one for Christmas. He has used it the most. He loves it. It is the only appliance that I have ever gotten that has truly paid for itself.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very happy with it
It works very well, easy to clean. Have had no problems with it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hot Dog Perfection
I belong to a Moose Club and we purchased this appliance to replace the large convenience store hot dog roller which just wasted hot dogs. This glorified toaster really does a great job with the hotdogs. They taste great and are cooked to order so they're not hard as with the old machine. We used it for approximately 3 years before one of the elements went out on it. This machine would go sometimes all night if we had a lot of hungry customers. These hotdogs are like popcorn, when you make it and others smell it, they gotta have it. For what we used it for, I considered that 3 years was pretty good. We just got another one and now everyone wants one at home. I've just bought the last 3 which make 16 total for customers who like the "Moose Hotdogs".

Editorial Review

The fun of fondue gets a sleek and convenient makeover with this Cuisinart electric fondue maker. Designed for use with oil, broth, chocolate, or cheese, the set combines powerful electric heat with easy temperature control and handsome but tidy construction. The 3-quart stainless-steel bowl is lined with nonstick coating for keeping heated foods from sticking, and the stand, bowl, ring, and temperature probe all assemble and disassemble easily. A combination of finishes--brushed on the bowl and ring, mirror on the stand and handles—gives the unit a contemporary flair. Heat up is efficient here--getting oil to 375 degrees F takes between 10 and 15 minutes. Best of all, you can change the temperature setting with a simple turn of the dial to adjust for different ingredients or the passage of time. For clean up, run the entire set (temperature probe and cord removed, of course) through the dishwasher. A set of eight color-coded fondue forks is also included. Fully assembled, the fondue maker stands 6-1/4 inches high; the bowl is 8-1/4 inches in diameter at the opening. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One Awesomd Fondue Pot
This is all you could ever want in a Fondue pot.So much so, I bought two of them!It heats up quickly, cools down quickly and absolutely nothing sticks. As another reviewer stated, "Goodbye Sterno!"Works equally well with cheese, meats and seafood.

3-0 out of 5 stars Some great design with some serious drawbacks
Being a fondue lover, when I first saw this new Cuisinart electric fondue maker, I had an "Aha!" moment, and purchased the pot looking forward to a future of only using those smelly little sterno cans for nicely subdued pink outdoor lighting, (yes...I am kidding), instead of heating my food. At first blush, this Item has some great features. Large pot, detachable cord, easy clean nonstick interior, full immersability and variable heating temperatures. Now for the bad news. The pot does not detach from the ever so immense and functional stand, making it a very large pot indeed. difficult to store, almost impossible to refrigerate in newer center split refrigerators that have smaller shelf space....like mine. Tres cumbersome. The cord is extremely short, almost always calling for an additional extension cord. Fabulous if you like that industrial look while dining or entertaining, unfortunate if you don't. The worst flaw? The tendency to heat unevenly dang it! Because the heat is concentrated around the widely spaced heating elements on the bottom of the pot, we have noticed that this is creating marks in the non stick surface and overcooked areas and even burns the cheese at the bottom of the pot. Quelle horreur! Now we see clearly why this pot is non-stick. It has to be if there is even a remote chance of getting the burnt bits off without using dynamite. We tried far lower temperature settings,or even varying the temperature, thinking this would remedy the problem, but then instead of the one true hot, gooey, melty fondue, we ended up with semi-chilled, semi melted cheese lumps. Not as appetizing as you might think. No doubt, a better product for oil than cheese or chocolate. Also, No lid sigh...Well, I guess you can't have everything, but this Cuisinart fondue pot is sleek and pretty and burnt bits or not, at least I'm only using the left over sterno for "candle-lit" baths until it runs out (...yes...I am kidding again). However, I am still looking for a better fondue pot.

5-0 out of 5 stars So far, so very good...
Just purchased the Cuisinart electric fondue pot and so far, I've been really pleased with it.Have done both oil and cheese fondue with it and both turned out quite nicely.Heat control settings dial in accurately, the non-stick surface on the inside of the pot makes clean-up a breeze, and the magnetic cord disconnect makes transferring the pot from countertop to dinner table (or even the living room floor if you really want to go 70's!) safe and easy. The stainless finish on the pot and chrome legs make it a smart-looking package, too.:-)

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product
This is my second Salad Shooter. I used the first one so much that I wore it out. They are a must have for making hashbrowns or grating cheese. I use it for a limited number of foods but it makes cooking so much easier.

My wife swears by the professional unit. The old one finally gave up the ghost after numerous cole slaws, pepper jellies and relishes. She uses it for just about anything that needs to be sliced or diced and now I'm getting read to order another one right now. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Perfect for a small apartment or dorm room, this compact, countertop dishwasher holds four full place settings plus flatware in aseparate basket. It offers two wash cycles (normal and heavy), arinse-and-hold option, and optional drying. A beep signals the end ofboth washing and drying, while upper and lower spray arms providethorough cleaning. The 1250-watt appliance shuts off when the door isopened, an alarm sounds if a problem occurs, and another automaticfeature stops operation if the water overflows. Installing thedishwasher is simple: the water hose connects to a sink faucet(connector included), and another hose drains into the sink. Clad inenameled steel, the dishwasher looks great and measures just 17-1/4inches wide, 21 inches high, and 19-3/4 inches deep. It carries aone-year warranty against defects. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Hazard Warning !!!!!
The unit we bought in May 2006 never drained properly. We had to send the tag from the back of the unit, 10" of the power cord and $15 to get a new unit.
5-0 out of 5 stars Used for 4 months everyday, working perfectly so far
I have used this dishwasher for 4 monthes now, almost everyday. Still in great working order. The vented dry function is totally waste of time and electricity, so I always turn the function off. And Haier company wrote a terrible manual.
4-0 out of 5 stars So far so good - i have an empty sink & clear countertops
I ordered this little gem expecting to get a piece of junk.It came quick and vn though there was a bit of shipping damage, I hooked it up and ran a load through.

This pack of four strainer screens makes Villaware's fruit and vegetable strainer work harder and accomplish more. There's a screen for straining pumpkin or squash; one for berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and more); a third screen specifically designed for making salsa; and a short spiral for straining grapes that was recently redesigned to avoid seed traffic jams. A convenient twist-on mount makes it easy to pop the screens on and get cooking. For the cook who owns Villaware's Fruit and Vegetable Strainer and sends berry preserves to their kids by the caseload, these screens are a great gift. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars God dag!
I used to make these during "kakelinna" (time in Norway when Christmas baking begins) with my "farmor" (paternal grandmother).I still have my grandmother's old cast iron krumkake iron and after trying this one, I will never deviate from the traditional iron again.Christmas baking in Norway isn't about making a lot and saving time, it's about family.Although the older ones take longer (but taste better), it is a great time to reflect. If you have the energy to use a traditional one, I recommend it...the cookies are temporary, memories are forever.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a GREAT product!!!
This item is fantastic!!Having just tried Krumkake this past May while visiting family in Alaska, we were excited to come home and try to make them ourselves. They are similar to Pizelles, but better. We couldn't wait for this maker to arrive and made krumkake the very next day. They were so good.We would recomend this item to anyone who ever tried krumkake and wants to relive thay wonderful memory at home!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Machine for the Money
Bought this and put it together in about 1/2 an hour.It is really nice.Took me about 4 times to get the popcorn cooking right.First time, did not hook up the kettle to the top and it wasn't turning, so we had a burning problem.(Boy nothing worse than that burnt popcorn smell), 2nd time, the plug to the kettle was not in all the way, so we waited and waited and waited, and no popcorn.3rd Time, I was not watching and the popcorn was popping so fast that it got clogged and started burning.4th try...PERFECT...I bought the nap paks, but am going to try using Canola oil and a different popcorn. The Nap Paks are nice, but when the popcorn is cold, it tastes AWFUL. Only drawback is that it takes a little longer to clean than the microwave popcorn bag that you just throw away. Will be great for parties here at my house, as well as for carnivals that we have for the kids for our Sunday school.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Popper for the price.
I searched all over for a large Popcorn Popper. This was the lowest price. It took a little over 30 minutes to unpack it and assemble it.I moved it into the house and started making popcorn shortly after. It looks nice sitting in our living room. That's the location of where we watch movies. If you want to make as much popcorn as the show in the pictures you would need to make 3-4 batches.Like some of the other reviews I notice if you put to much oil or to many popcorn seeds then it will jam up and burn your popcorn.Yes, the little pre-measured packets are good and the taste is excellent but..... They are expensive and I am cheap. I bought a big 50 pound bag of popcorn seeds for 18 dollars and our favorite so far is a product called POP-ALL this is the best popping oil. It's around 22 dollars and I think 2.5 gallons. It turns the popcorn a nice yellow color like movie theater popcorn. The kids love watching it pop and I like the smell that it fills the house with.Any popcorn that we don't eat we put outside for our chickens that love it also.Cleaning takes a few minuets.I wipe it down with a dishcloth with warm soapy water to break up the oil on the plastic windows. Then a few more times with just warm water. The pot unplugs and you can rinse it out.The inside of my pot is now dark brown from the oil and I can't get it cleaned. It does not affect anything I guess it's like having an iron skillet gives it flavor? The manual tells you to fill it with 2 cups of water and run it for 15 minutes doing that will steam the inside of the unit and you can wipe it down.It also made the very top of the front door that is made of plastic warp from the heat.I don't recommend closing the door while doing that to clean it.The holes in the bottom make it even better. After you cook the popcorn you stir it around and the kernels fall thru the holes into a tray so when you fill your bowl up you don't break your teeth on the hard kernels.Bottom line is I love this machine and would buy it again if I had to.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice popper, but you lose a lot of the kernels
Had this popper a month now and use it several times a week.Great tasting popcorn and easy to make.I recommend purchasing premeasured packages from Mega-Pop.Only issue that I have with the popper is that when the kernels are popping and the topside doors are open to expel the popped kernels, you get a lot of unpopped kernels flying out of the pot.We rented a similar popper, but with the 8oz pot and virtually every kernel popped. This popper has a 4oz pot and you lose about 20% of the kernels.

The professional double burner range from BroilKing answers the need for electric cooking anywhere that a kitchen is not an option. It offers simple operation and easy portability with its low-profile, chrome metal housing and heavy-duty 3-prong cord. Ranging from 825 to 1650 watts, the side-by-side burners heat up quickly and are individually controlled with smooth-turning front dials. Most effective with pots that match the size of the 5-1/2-inch tubular elements, the range is not ideal for giant stock pots or huge skillets. But for the everyday needs of boiling, steaming, frying, and warming, it does the job just fine. BroilKing includes a helpful safety power light and an adjustable leg for stability. The range is UL listed and backed by a two-year warranty. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Meant To Be Shipped
Packaging, packaging, packaging...This product was meant to be picked up at your local WalMart or Target...Carried to your car and tenderly moved to your home...Although the outer box was wonderfully packed with plastic air balloons, the product box designer has no idea on how to keep a product safe during shipping...The product arrived and works...However, both dials had fallen off and had to be searched for in the box...The product is cool...However, this was NOT meant to be shipped...

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a GOOD hotplate investment!
Hello shoppers,
5-0 out of 5 stars Best One Out There
I can't say I've literally tried or tested every counter-top buffet range there is, but this one's construction is clearly superior to all competitor's products.I hesitated - Broil King?Who are they? - sounds like some cheap, discount store brand, but I bought due to the all-steel construction because all the others, made largely out of plastic, seemed seriously cheesy to me.This unit is genuinely solidly built out of all metal, nicely chrome plated with nice quality controls. It works well to boot - like a good quality stove-top.You really get a full range heat control.I use mine at holiday time when my gas range is suffering from no vacancy. This will gently warm things without burning when set at low - a true test of the quality of the unit.Cheaper units "look" like they have full range controls but in fact, you get off and screech.Thanksgiving can be ruined if your mashed potatoes "warming" on your extra burner burst into flames because the "low" setting was mostly wishful thinking on the manufacturer's part.An excellent unit - a bit of an investment, but definitely worthwhile. I only use it twice a year, but will never regret it. ... Read more
