Don't by this nut grinder
I had one but it broke chopping almonds -- hardly a metal busting food item.Worse, didn't notice it was broken until AFTER I mixed the chopped nuts into the ice cream I was making.There were bits of metal in my ice cream, so I couldn't serve it.

Non-working model of its predecessor
Mixed nuts were on sale at the grocery store this week- yeeeha- so we went in search of a nutcracker in order to be able to eat them.We remembered this design from our childhood- simple, retro, unbreakable...or so we thought.Apparently they're not made quite like they used to be.The hinge on ours disintegrated on the first attempt at getting through a nutshell, and it wasn't even a Brazil nut.A pint glass on a hard surface (VERY messy, and quite loud) had to suffice for the rest of the evening.We returned it promptly- even at $2.99 this thing was a waste of money. ...
