Regarding the Dekor system, we have been through both the diaper genie and diaper champ and have found that SIZE matters most.All the gimmicks build into the other two systems to reduce odor don't seem to be worth the hassle.The Dekor Plus's ease of use and refill makes it the most convenient.
Not well made
I have had the Diaper Dekor system for over a year now.It was great for the first six months then the door came loose because the construction of the product is not very sturdy.I also found that it also allowed odors to escape easily.If I were to go back in time.I would not buy the system again.The only good points are that the system is easy to use and refill, otherwise the construction is cheaply put together.

Don't bother
I do like the fact that you don't have to buy special refill bags for it, but the Diaper Champ definitely does not control the smell of the diapers.I do change and clean it frequently, but still notice that my son's room still seems to smell of dirty diapers.I have tried the diaper genie as well, and we didn't like that one either.I also find the Diaper Champ pretty unsightly.If I had to do it again, I would just get a regular garbage can with a lid and change it daily.I think it would contain the smell as well as the Diaper Champ.

Smelly from the start - buy the Diaper Dekor instead
I would not recommend this diaper pail; I regret believing its claim of being "odorless."I expect there to be SOME odor, but this stinks all the time.We change it frequently, and yes, I understand that my toddler's poop is going to stink more than an infant's, etc. etc. (referencing other people's reviews) but this pail does NOT do the job.In addition, it frequently sticks when you try to swing the handle to drop the diaper into the pail - and the pail is not full when this happens.Based on all the other reviews I'm thinking maybe I got stuck with a lemon.
Keeps out smells pretty welll, ingenious design
I want to start by saying that there isn't a diaper pail in existence that will keep smells out of your house 100%.If you keep a diaper pail full of dirty diapers in the house and think it doesn't smell, you're fooling yourself. My review is based on keeping the diaper pail in the garage, which is what we do.

Doesn't smell at ALL
I originally tried the Diaper Dekor... refills are EXPENSIVE and I don't think work as well.. the pail stank!
the best for odor control
I also tried the Diaper Genie at first, at found that it was terrible at containing smells (both types of refills failed).I can jam an entire weeks worth of diapers (sizes N through 3 so far) and not smell anything in my son's room.There is one trick to help you use this item correctly, however.To open it, you need to pull up the handle until it clicks.Push the diaper down with your hand, then push the handle down.This can all be done one handed, and the Neat! is much more user-friendly than the Genie.I'll be saving this diaper pail for baby #2!

Best of the Three we've tried
We started with a diaper genie (as most do). When the top eventually broke off (it took slamming it down to get it to close), we decided to try the "Diaper Champ". Ugh! the "champ" is a chump! STINKY! We then tried the "Neat" system on a very picky friend's recommendation. Out of the three we've tried, this is the best at odor control (it sits right next to the rocking chair!) As other's have mentioned, it seems to waste a lot of liner when emptied, but the refills last a long time and probably use no more than the genie's if you untwisted all those little bundles! ... Diaper Dekor and Diaper Dekor +
Diaper Dekor is the small, plus is the larger. There are TWO sizes--+ won't fit the smaller unit. We have the smaller and our Babies R Us (which is where we bought it) says "oh sorry, we only carry the big ones now." Nice! Now we have to buy liners online. I don't mind buying online but I don't appreciate that I can't go buy them where I bought the unit. If I'd had any idea they would quit carrying the smaller one we'd have bought +. It's excellent!

Best on the Market!
When I purchased mine, there was no Diaper Dekor+ which is the larger size.However, I feel that we have no need for a larger one.My child just turned two and it holds a weeks worth of diapers...no problem!I bought the Diaper Genie because I was told so many things about it and I hate it, it goes through bags quickly and the bags have a weird odor to them.I am currently pregnant and am sensitive to odors and the Diaper Dekor holds them all in until garbage day comes.

Wheels fall off
This is useful for my purposes (rags and kitchen towels) as I don't really need to move it around, but if you pick it up, even a little, the wheels fall off.It is a design flaw They aren't designed to stay attatched at least not that I could figure out.Good price.

Great time saver!

this cart is flimsy and such poor quality it literally falls apart within a month of use. The metal rods are held together by screws that come loose ALL the time! need better quality control
a friend of mine has three of these in his house, and he's never mentioned a smell. we gave one to a neighbor, and she claims never to have smelled a dirty diaper in her house. well, i just changed the bag because i could smell the one diaper in it from outside my son's room. we got the dd+ before he was born (actually, we got two -- the first one we received was broken), and for about the first two months of his life, we had no complaints. then we started smelling diapers. we changed the bag more often (sometimes with only three or four diapers in it), and that helped a bit, but sometimes it was so bad that i changed the bag before i changed the kid. i called the manufacturer and told them what was up and that i wanted to make sure the thing was working properly before we started feeding him solid food. they graciously offered to send me another one. i said thanks. the second one got here, and it did a worse job of containing the odors than the other one. on the plus side, the bags do last a long time. i'm not sure how anyone could complain about that. our first bag lasted three months.

Great Product - Long Lasting
Practically oder free and highly durable this is a great diaper pail.I have tried others and they either stopped working correctly and let the smell out or broke or you had to push the diapers into it.
Waste of space
This item is completely unnecessary. I'd heard mom friends mention it and thought it would be a good addition to our nursery. But it's pointless if you live in an apartment since you're probably tossing your trash down a chute every day or so. And turns out that it's equally pointless in a house. I really like the hampers.They don't take up a lot of floor space and with three, I can separate the laundry.The handles make it easy to move them.They are a little deeper than my arms are long (I'm short) but I can tilt them to empty them.Would have liked having an assortment of colors to choose from.

Holds laundry - but could've been designed better
It's sturdy and does what it's supposed to do - hold laundry. Velcro closes the lid. I've had it for about a year, and it still stands up properly. I was worried that the wicker would slowly break or lose sturdiness, but it's still good. No problems.

Very dissapointed

Wow, where to begin. . .
I thew this thing away within one month
I thew this thing away within one month of having it.It was the biggest waste of money.We kept trying to figure out where this nasty smell was coming from in our house.We finally put the diaper genie outside.And the smell disappeared.I threw the thing AWAY.I'll stick with good old tied up grocery bags...

As a new mom, I bought this and have regretted it daily ever since.I am ashamed to say I decided to put up with it for the last year and half. Besides being nasty to use (you have to push the dirty diaper down into the thing and all kinds if icky things seep out on your hands) once you move to stage 2 it does very little to prevent the dirty diaper smell. I now only use it for wet diapers when absolutely necessary. The rest go right out to the trash. I suggest you look at the Neat Diaper Disposal unit before wasting your money on this. I used diaper genie with my last child it was horrid!This diaper dekor is a wondeful must have product! I would recomend it to every parent looking for a disposal system. There really are no diaper smells, it holds tons of diapers and is easy to use.Get this my husband changes the bag for me as well as using it to dispose of diapers.I mainly chose it due to the great reviews, believe them this is the best system out there.I hear the bigger one is great too, I bought this smaller model due to limited space in my house and figured it would add nicely to my bathroom once baby is out of diapers

I was told to get the diaper genie from many people but liked the looks and reviews of the diaper dekor so decided to put it on my registry. I am so glad I did. I have only had to empty it about every 6-7days and it is simple and odor free. Even when full there is no odor! I didnt need to put in a refill for 3months. the refills look pricey till you realize how long each one lasts. in comparison, its cheaper! I would recommend this to anyone!

Absolutely Fantastic!
We have had the original Diaper Champ for several years, on our back porch for our dogs' "poop bags," and have been so pleased with it. We were so excited when they came out with the pink one for our baby girl's nursery. The pink one appears to have more capacity than the original, the handle has a pink textured grip, and the opening is definitely bigger, making it easier to fit full diapers into. We also use the Ruffies vanilla scented trash bags to cut down on odor (they also make lavender scented). Let's face it, diapers stink and nothing will ever completely eliminate the smell, but the Diaper Champ with scented trash bags does a pretty good job!

New and Improved? No Way.
We first had the original diaper champ, which I would have given 4 stars.It kept the odor in pretty well, was easy to use, used regular trash bags...etc.We really liked it until one day a velcro tab on a diaper pulled the foam out of the lid.Since it was letting the odor out, we decided to replace it with the new and improved model.WORST DIAPER PAIL EVER.As soon as the diapers start piling up, the lid grabs tabs, wipes, etc and jams the top so you can't flip it.I spent so much time shaking, wiggling and kicking the thing I was very quickly exasperated. When you flip the top, it created much bigger gaps on the two sides than the older model.This is why things get jammed...also why it lets a huge waft of diaper odor out every time you flip it.HORRIBLE.

sturdy and convenient
With six children, myself and my husband, sometimes just collecting the laundry from all over the house leaves me worn out.That's why I like the wheels on this hamper; they help conserve my energy, and I need all the energy I can get.Plus this hamper can hold all the laundry from my laundry chute, and it's construction seems sturdy.It was pretty easy to assemble.

Hamper Helper
This hamper on wheels is great if you have a distance to carry wet laundry to your clothesline. The only thing I don't like about it is the bag hooks on the chrome by velcro and tries to "unpeel" if you have a heavy load. Perhaps snaps would be better.

NOT A LONG TERM TOY BOX!
I dont usualy write reviews about things I have bought but I feel I have to for this one.Ijust wanted anyone considering buying this toy box to know that this toy box works ok for light toys, but the minute baby gets to be 6 months to one year the toys are too big and heavy for this box and cause the box to bow out and look terrible.This should be an easy fix considering all the velcro used in making this toy box, but I've tried everything and nothing fixes this problem, the toys are just to heavy... and I am not over stuffing the box either...it's about half full.Very disapointed and looking for a new toy box.My suggestion is dont buy this one take the money you would be waisting here and put it into a little tikes toy box.They are the absolute best, they last forever are low for young children and babies and hold a ton of toys!And they only cost about $15-$20 more than this waist of money.Thanks

I have to agree that the box is great looking, better than a rubbermaid tub but I am disappointed with the smell the box has and also that it's not as sturdy as I would hope.My box is kinda out of shape now and the velcro divider that holds it together doesn't hold it together anymore which means the lid doesn't close properly.I've only had this box just over a year and it's now in a spare room with not too many toys in it because I don't like that it didn't hold it's shape.
