Editorial Review

Functional as well as beautiful, this 12-inch frying pan is made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The pan has an aluminum core in its base to spread heat quickly and evenly. The core is completely clad in stainless steel so, like the rest of the pan, the bottom resists corrosion and discoloring and cleans up easily. Thick rolled rims add durability and make it possible to pour from the pan without dripping. Because the pan is 3 inches deep and comes with a tight-fitting, domed lid, it is roomy enough to fry chicken and sauté vegetables and can also be used for braising short ribs and sauerkraut or for cooking chili on the stovetop or in the oven. (The handles are oven-safe to 350 degrees F and stay cool on the stovetop.) The pan is dishwasher-safe and comes with a lifetime warranty against defects. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
This was not what I expected. It was heavy and not in a good way. It was hard for me to wash this, let alone that it is not non-stick...I don't know if it is just me (but other reviews tell me I am not) it just really seemed awkward to handle and it is hardly used in my house and I feel disappointed that it just takes up space in my cupboard.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
We needed to replace a 30 year old Farberware frypan. This pan was better than we expected. We are so grateful for Amazon.com!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars BEWARE -- this is a HUGE pan
Farberware classic is great -- an inexpensive yet equally functional alternative to the very expensive pots & pans.Note: recently Farberware reduced its quality, in that older Farberware pots & pans had their thick aluminum base completely encased within a stainless steel shell. The newer pots & pans have the aluminum base attached to the bottom, but not encased within a stainless steel bottom. So, their quality is less than it was; most people who "grew up with Farberware" may not realize this.Farberware used to hold the patent on the technique of having the aluminum base CURVE up the side of the pan -- they no longer do this, and are the same as many other manufacturers. Also note: if you are buying a 12" pan, this is a HUGE pan, since it has a squareish cross-section.I found it to be so absolutely huge -- you could fry a dozen onions in this monster -- that I simply never use it.The 10" and 8" sizes may be what you're looking for! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars very pleased
I have not had a skillet without nonstick coating for a long time and was a little worried about ordering one. I have been very pleased with this skillet.I have not had a problem with sticking and I like the weigh of the panI will try another of their products

5-0 out of 5 stars Faberware has my vote
I bought two Farberware frypans and love them both. The heat distribution is even; I pan fry a lot of steaks and with this pan the heat is perfect at just a tad above medium on an electric stove.Let the pan heat for 5 minutes or until a splash of water "spits back" at you.The beef cooks absolutely perfectly.I cooked a pot roast in the larger pan and what a pleasure to brown on the stovetop, season, cover and stick the very same pan in the oven!Worked like a dream.Where on earth have I been?

5-0 out of 5 stars A great pan
I own almost every fry pan made such as Scanpan, Circulon, Innova, Joyce Chen, Calphalon, WearEver. The Farberware is by far my favorite. The pan heats quickly and evenly. The wash up is great and it goes in the dishwasher without voiding the warranty! My other pans have to be treated with kid gloves and I have to threaten everyone, "don't put them in the diswasher!"So of course, the Farberware is also the favorite of other family members especially when they have clean up duty. You can spend more money on a pan with a fancy European name but WHY when you can spend a reasonable price and get a great pan from Farberware.I use the 10" fry pan daily. It's a good size for our family of four. it's great for eggs, one-pan meals, frying fish and other meats. I love that it has a lid so I can poach, simmer and steam. My other fry pans don't have lids. The classic line is not only functional, it's very pretty and can go from stove to table. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars I wouldn't recommend
I thought to have an expensive fry pan might save money than changing cheap teffal pan everytime it got stuck.Guess what! Foods get stuck to this pan so easily, I would have thrown it away if it was a cheap one.I wouldn't recommend it to others. I've been using this for two months.

5-0 out of 5 stars very heavy, but healthy alternative to teflan
This heavy duty pan is the only non-stick pan alternative to teflan. There have been recent scientific studies that have shown concern about long term use & deterioration of teflan & teflan type coated pans. This German made Silit pan is a healthy alternative -- safe up to 3000 degrees.

3-0 out of 5 stars $$$ Appears to be a quality product but to expensive $$$
Light use for about a month: If you expect it to be NON-Stick you will be disappointed: Stick Resistant Maybe! I use it with a small amount of Olive oil or Olive oil spray: Still a challenge to keep fried eggs from sticking.
5-0 out of 5 stars Better than Teflon
The Cybernox surface is terrific. It's not as slippery as Teflon and other non-stick coatings are when they are new, but it is slippery, allowing you to cook with little or no added fat.Best of all, it keeps its non-stick properties throughout the life of the pan.It doesn't deteriorate over time like other non-stick surfaces, regardless of price.5-0 out of 5 stars Expensive but Good
I am not a cook or even an enthusiast when it comes to cooking. I bought this pan just to cook my own stuff occasionally; like over-easy eggs and potatoes and such. I wanted something good, that would last. Two things that were not as expected:Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Three years later, this pan can still crank out a perfect omelette
I got the earlier model of this skillet three Christmases ago, and it has held up amazingly well. The non-stick surface is still fully intact, and releases food just as smoothly as when I first used it. It always heats up quickly and evenly even on my lame electric range. The solid-metal handle surprisingly stays completely cool to the touch, even with prolonged stove-top use. It's quite sturdy and hasn't warped at all. I certainly haven't handled it with kid gloves, but I use (usually) non-metallic utensils with it. This new version is more than three times the amount I paid for my old one; but given what I've seen in mine's quality and durability, I think it's still a great buy. Check out other reviews for the previous version (just copy and paste "B00006LFGN" without the quotes into the search box). ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Less stick, not nonstick
Cybernox is a terrific cooking surface, but it's not as slippery as Teflon. Despite its relative stickiness, it has a lot going for it. Clean-up is a breeze. It comes with a little stainless steel scourer that makes quick work out any residue without much elbow grease. It can go in a very hot oven and even under the broiler without fear and it goes in the dishwasher. Another advantage is that, unlike Teflon, it allows you to develop a fond, the darkened bits left on a pan that, when dissolved, add a lot of flavor to sauces.
3-0 out of 5 stars Cybernox is a bit overrated
The construction quality of this pan not what you'd expect at $100, and the 'non-stick' qualities of the interior lining are vastly overrated - close to, but not as good as, seasoned cast iron, and greatly inferior to teflon, especially for fat free cooking. I bought this pan because of health concerns with teflon frypans.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the best
Awesome for all types of cooking. The material is better than stainless steel, cooks very well, etc.The non-stick surface isn't perfect, but its really the best option over Teflon based stuff. It cleans up very well!Once you let the toughest buildup soak for a few hours, it usually just rinses off.It works well in the dishwasher too.Just scrub with steel wool, NOT green sponges (it marks up the surface a little).I made that mistake, but didn't damage it too much.I have several other Sitrams, all excellent!Well worth the money ... US cookware seems to fall into two categories - there's the basic stuff from Revere and Farberware that your mother used (great for heating up Campbells soup and frying Shake-n-Bake chicken), and there's the $$OHMYGOD$$ stuff from All-Clad and similar (actually usable to make sauces and sautes).

5-0 out of 5 stars Customers Beware!!!
I have spent thousands of dollar's, On Meyers cookware everthing from KitchenAid, Anolon, Prestige, Faberware, & Circulan, just to name a few. Though Meyers does manufacture very high quality pots & pans and I would recommend them to anyone it's just sad that if you have any problem with them, under warranty, you have to go throught the chain of command, that never gets you anywhere, even if you want to speak with upper management about the rudeness of the customer service department. Their customer service department employees are always very rude and snotty and they act like they are doing you a favor to even talk to you about their products. Don't get me wrong they do make good cookware, probably the best, but you as the consumer are at the mercy of their customer service and their descision or your fait on wheather your life time warranty is honored or not.

4-0 out of 5 stars the more I use my kitchenaid, the more I hate my all-clad
For some reason (marketing?), the kitchenaid five-ply stainless cookware is being perceived as a tier below the equivalent all-clad.This may be true of the enamel over steel stuff that kitchenaid sells at K-mart, but the five-ply is actually a cut above.3-0 out of 5 stars Quality materials, small size.

5-0 out of 5 stars The one pan that rule them all
I was shopping for a good pan and had look at copper pans and All-clad stainless series. Those pans are good but heavy. This 10 inch MC2 series weight perfectly at 3 lbs. I can lift it up with one hand comfortably. It heat up fast, the liquid evaporate fast on this pan. The browning on fired eggs are nice (which was missing when using non-stick). It is kind of difficult to maintain the shiny surface though. It is wise not to use the green scottbrite on it, it would damage the surface. Move the liquid food quickly or it would stick to the pan. When it was new it was so beautiful, I can't help lift it up stright and said "one pan rules them all"

5-0 out of 5 stars True Quality fry pan
This fry pan has a fabulously-even heat distribution that cooks and sears meats to perfection while preserving the natural flavors thereof. Doesn't absorb the natural juices like some teflon/non-stick pans do. Beautiful stainless polished finish that will keep on shining with proper care/ stainless powder cleansers. When I really want the flavor to come through, I use this pan and it brings out the best of each meal! ... Read more

This eight-inch fry pan is the ideal size for a duet of fried eggs, which, thanks to the interior non-stick finish, requires very little grease and slides out easily. Editorial Review

This generously sized 12-inch fry pan beautifully cooks batches of pancakes, eggs, hamburgers, and more. Clad inside and out in gleaming stainless steel, the 3-ply pan is constructed with an inner core of aluminum in the bottom and up the sides for even, efficient cooking at low temperatures. The long handle, riveted for strength and curved for comfort and control, stays cool thanks to its hollow design and V-connection, and features a generous hanging hole. Whisks, spoons, and cleaning brushes all glide smoothly along the curved inner contour of the pan, and a stainless-steel lid (number-coded and available separately) fits snugly on the flared, easy-pour rim. Editorial Review

Distinguished among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections by its stylish, charcoal black, hard-anodized-aluminum exterior, the LTD line provides serious and professional cooks with all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between the exterior and an 18/10 stainless-steel interior lies a thick core of pure aluminum that spreads heat evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides. The interior is highly polished, so it's stick- as well as corrosion-resistant. The striking exterior resists scratching, chipping, and peeling.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic pan for large omelets!
Wow! This is the ultimate pan for a perfect large omelet! With just a bit of butter in the pan, and a low to medium heat setting, I get perfect results every time. I'm not a big fan of non-stick coatings, and this pan proves that if you have quality cookware and use it properly, there is no need for Teflon or any of the other coatings. Clean-up of this pan is a breeze. If something happens to stick, just soak the pan for a little while and scrub gently with a nylon pad. To sum up: for perfect eggs, use All-Clad and you can't go wrong. Their products are expensive, but you should never have to replace them in your lifetime. ... Read more
