Very pleased

Sad.
For Christmas last year, my husband had mentioned wanting a good meat thermometer (to several people), and ended up with two different ones.This one was the immediate hit because of the buttons and high-tech look.This is also the one that got tossed in the trash because it consistently read 70+ degrees low (I stuck it in boiling water and confirmed).Extremely disappointing, do not waste your money.We've moved on the the less techy but infinitely more useful old gauge-type.
