this is fun and it works
[...].After wearing the BioTrainer on a regular (inactive) day I was sorely disappointed in myself -It was neat to see how in the days following I was moving more and the BioTrainer was showing it.It doesn't show the calories I burn when did sit ups but I went to their website and it explained that the calories from things like lifting weights and sit ups don't register because the whole body is not in motion.But then another day when I was walking around the mall and cleaning the house the caloric burn level was very high.It took a few minutes to figure out how to set up but it's very easy to use.I alsosigned up for their websites monitoring program so I could measure the calories I burn against the calories I eat.I've lost a couple of pounds so I think it was a good investment.

Don't waste your money
I was excited to get this unit. Having a general idea of how many calories I burned daily would definitely help me to modulate my caloric intact and loss some weight. Forget it. The unit I have just does not work. After wearing it for the day as instructed it shows 25-33 calories burned a day. I tried it over several days and restarted it by taking out the battery, no help.

It's Great!
I have owned this scale for about 7 years and just in the last year had to replace the battery.I have not had any problems with this scale.I am a baker and have used it to measure solids and liquids.

Measure fast or start over
I used this scale for one (frustrating) day before returning it. The scale has an auto-off "feature" that is supposed to automatically turn the scale off after one minute if there is a zero reading or after three minutes of displaying the same weight.However, when I tried to measure a few ounces by slowing adding a dry ingredient into a cup on the scale, it would turn off before I reached the desired weight.I added the ingredient slowly when I approached the desired weight, but it certainly didn't take any where near 3 minutes to do this before it would turn itself off.Then I would have to start all over again.It took me three attempts to finally weigh out the ingredients.The auto-off problem didn't occur as quickly when trying to weigh out a larger amount of flour (14 ounces) when the flour was added in larger increments, so perhaps the problem is more severe with lower weights when adding small increments of ingredient.But, the experience was so frustrating I packed the scale up and returned it the next day.I would much prefer a switch that allowed you to turn off the auto-off "feature" and turn the scale off manually between uses.This may shorten the battery life somewhat if one forgets to turn the scale off, but I'd rather buy more batteries than suffer through trying to weigh out ingredients multiple times. ... What can I say? PYREX IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO

Does the job, but Oxo is better
It's about time someone figured out how to label a measuring cup so that you didin't have to raise the cup or lower yourself to get the eye level measurement.I'm not sure if Pryex or Oxo figured it out first, but the Oxo version is better.I own the Pyrex cups and I was happy until I used the Oxo version last week for the first time.The Oxo measurements are easier to read and it's just a better design.I've used the lids on my cups twice.Nothing you can't achieve without plastic wrap. ... Decent but not accurate description
We paid thirty dollars for this on amazon.One reason we choose it was that it said it weighed in .03 ounce increments - which it doesn't.It weighs in .05 ounce increments.Guess that's what happens when you buy online.The scale is extremely flimsy feeling, and requires a stable surface like a kitchen counter - it won't work on our table which sits on a wood floor.But it seems to work fine - we don't have the problem the other reviewer had with it taking a minute or longer to zero.Decent product for what we paid. ... A brilliant redesign of a basic tool
The first time I saw one of these, I picked it up and said, "Oh, isn't that clever." Then I put it back on the shelf and forgot about it. This went on for months. Then one day, my husband brought two home.

Couldn't bake without it.
I don't actually have the All-clad version of these spoons.I think mine are from Amco.They are great for baking!Scoop and measure all at the same time.If you're scooping out of a paper bag, like a flour bag, you can use the inside of the bag to level the top and get the exact right amount.

Not Made of One Piece
I received these measuring cups, and they are not stamped out of one piece. The handles are bolted on, just as in any set of measuring cups.

A must for every cook
After searching high and low for a gift for my Mother in law, we stumbled across these cups in a high end cooking supply store,wanting to get them, but astonished at the price 50% more than amazon, i came searching for them. These are high quality stainless steel, the measurements are exact, and the one piece design (handles pressed out of the same peice) make these more durable than those with sodered handles. They are still going strong in her kithcen (after a year of heavy use) i hope this company will make the odd measures too, so i can let her add them to her collection !! ... Read more
