Great little scale
We have used this scale for several years--It's been great for weighing mail for postage, for weighing clay in the studio, and for weighing food. I broke my first one, either by putting something way too heavy on it, or when it dropped off the counter. But I have loved it so much, I am reordering the same scale again.

I bought this as a replacement for a non-digital scale and I just love it. It is convenient, accurate, easy to use, and doesn't take up alot of room.

Digital kitchen scales are kind of like microwave ovens - once you experience them, you'll never be without one.And when this particular one is working, it's a wonderful thing.But I found it to be rather touchy.You must be very careful not to bang it around on your counter while using it - mine eventually went belly-up due to a drop of 8"!God forbid you should drop it on the floor.

More than perfect....to me.
I was lost for 5 days without my old one, which DID break but only after 6 years of daily use.My old one didn't have a cover, so it was an added bonus to receive that with my new one.Highly recommended, especailly to someone who bakes a lot and needs precise measurements.Beats having to take out the measuring spoons sometimes and other times helps do the conversions when you need to know how many tablespoons in a cup, etc.

A Great Cup with a Minor Flaw
This cup measures in multiple units and has extra room at the top, to minimize spills and allow room to mix ingredients in the cup. This means it's larger than other 1 cup measures, which may annoy some users.
Since this one came free....
with the Oxo pastry brush, it is hard to rate it at less than 5-stars.Has been a staple in my kitchen for many many years.Now I can use 1 for dry and one for wet (i.e. for pancakes) without having to stop and wash/dry the single.Way to go, Amazon!

Wonderful Scale!
After reading over the reviews on this and a couple other scales, I settled on this one and I am very happy I did!It's pocket size has made eating out so much easier.And it's digital readout is absolutely wonderful.I fix many meals at a time and seperate into smaller 'serving size' packets.This scale has made measuring out 2 oz of protein so much easier.The reset key is great too.I can use either the top as a measuring tray or my own plates.What a wonderful kitchen gadget.

Couldn't live without it!
This scale is a foodies dream.We owned the same one in England but lost it on the move home.So we bought another!It takes up little space and can be stood up on its side because it is square--for storage.The ease of transition between grams and lbs / oz is really 1 touch of a button.I like the ability to zero out with an empty bowl from your kitchen on it and then measure flour, etc usng the same bowl.The batteries last quite a while.If you're in the market for a kitchen scale...look no further.

Broken in less than 1 year
My Salter 1001 scale started having problems within 3 months and broke within 10 months.I am sending the scale back to Saltier for replacement.A good scale while it worked, but what pain this has become.

Good kitchen scale, not for precision weighing
Bought the Salter 1004 Digital Kitchen Scale a few months back and have used it to weigh everything from food to a pine wood derby car.While it's not accurate beyond one quarter of an ounce, it is accurate enough for weighing sliced carrots for a stir fry. So if you are looking for a scale to weigh gold dust, look at another model.

The scale has a small footprint, stylish design and cool stainless steel construction. I've used this to measure my milk then add the instant pudding and mix it directly in the measuring cup with the beater. I used it as a small mixing bowl. It's a great size. I like the handle 'cuz any size hand can hold this. If you are looking to measure in 1/4 cup increments, you need to get a smaller measuring cup like the 2 cup size.The purpose of this big size is for measuring in large quantiies. As for the quality of this product.......It's a pyrex. They last forever.

The handle is too short and slippery. It should be a full closed loop. This measuring cup just seems like it will, at some point, slip out of my hands.

I bought this bowl so I could easily mix pancake and crepe batter.I have been more than pleased with it.Since it's by Pyrex, it's microwave and dishwasher safe and the handle is great to hold the bowl steady while whisking your ingredients together.

Anyone who knows Pyrex knows its products need no review. I grew up using my mom's pyrex measuring cups, so I didn't hesitate to buy these when I needed some of my own. The prices are always reasonable, and they are the most durable products. since the company was founded in HongKong in 1978 and then moved to the mainland 18 years later.Having put the ethinicity thing to rest, I will say that both these and the measuring spoons are heavy-weight and of excellent quality.I also like the larger than average variety (7 vs the typical 5-cup set).I would still give AllClad (which is French but made in the USA)the edge, but you will pay a hefty premium for AllClad.

VERY sturdy, great quality.
These measuring cups and spoons are definitely a heafty design. They will not bend in brown sugar like most medal measuring utensils. Worth the price! The cups are heavy though, so be prepared for that. The oval design allows the cups and spoons to fit into boxes and spice jars for scooping. I have been completely satisfied with mine and expect to have them for a lifetime, that is if my 10 month old doesn't lose them during playtime in the kitchen :).

Great Little Kitchen Items!
Although small, these little cups come in really handy.Have small amounts of liquid to measure before you measure those tablespoons of sugar or flour?Now you don't need to be concerned, just use a little OXO cup and move on!I use them every time I bake and leave the measuring spoons dry or completely alone.Just love them and need another set!

Not so great
I'm a fan of many Oxo products, but I have not been happy with these spoons. My main complaint is that the hanger-like device that holds the spoons together is badly designed and annoying.It's hard to maneuver between spoons, so you wind up just taking them off and leaving the spoons loose.I'd rather have spoons that stack well and that are held together by an enclosed ring.My second complaint is that the round shape doesn't fit in narrow bottles.I'm going to purchase the Cuisipro instead.On a positive note, the Oxo set of 3 plastic bowls are absolutely fantastic.I use them every day and am buying a set for my sister too.They are lightweight, the grips are great, and they clean up like new.
