a handy tip for squeezing
This isn't immediately obvious, and indeed somewhat counter-intuitive, so I thought I would share. To prevent the juice from squirting up into your eyes, and to achieve proper extraction, you need to place the lemon or lime half with the cut side pointed down into the press, not up facing you, which would seem to fit better. The squeezer will get every last drop out, and in the process invert the skin of the citrus inside out, leaving you with only the skin and no juice.

Squeezes many Limes and Lemons
As a regular visitor to the tropics, I have purchased a variety of lemon squeezers. Most of them have been toys as opposed to kitchen tools. The OXO is a pleasant change. It does the job well, cleans with no problems and is sturdy enough that it will serve me well for years.

An excellent lime juicer, but mediocre for lemons.
I've used a large variety of tools over the years to juice citrus, and I was excited when I learned of this tool.Not only is it by Oxo, a leader in kitchen gadget innovations, but Cooks Illustrated also rated it as the top method for juicing limes.

Fresh Lemonade
I got this juicer for my wife as she LOVES making lemonade from scratch. This thing is a lifesaver for this activity. She was going to make a larger batch (Like 24 lemons) just before her birthday so I gave it to her early and she loves it. Basically effortless to use and it does a great job. Little mess and it saves her hands a bunch of straining. It is well made and I have no complaints. I would definately buy it again. Only complaint is that it could have a larger base so that a larger bowl or a pyrex measuring cup could fit between it. Other than this small issue I give it a thumbs up.

I just got this juicer and it seems very suitable for the job. Usage and cleaning are very convenient. The design is very simple and elegant. And the unit is light enough to move around. It's not going to be a permanent counter top piece since it's very big. Looks like it would last for a while.

Good value stainless steel
This juicer has three sizes for the top - not sure how useful that is, and it does create kitchen drawer clutter. I bought it because it's stainless steel - it looks smart and washes up well. Very nice piece of equipment.

Excellent hand juicer
With three cones of different sizes and a generous container for catching the juice, this juicer works well for grapefruit, oranges, lemons and limes. Throw it in the dishwasher when you are done.

Orange Juice Lover
Somewhat disappointing. It wastes too much juice and pulp and is not stable when pressing. Fortunately I am right-handed. Good only for occasional use on short runs of one or two, at most three, glasses, otherwise other squeezers are more appropriate. It works better with small oranges.

NotGood Enough
When I first bought this juicer, I thought it was great.It sure beat squeezing by hand.But then, after using it for a while, I had second thoughts.
Don't buy it.

Wonderful manual juicer
We love having fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice in the mornings.This juicer is very easy to use (my two year old likes to put the oranges in and pull the handle), and a snap to clean.This was a good investment for us.

Great addition to the countertop
I wasn't sure at first if I would even use this or not. After all, I already have a "standard" citrus juicer, as well as a large juicer for throwing in the whole fruit. But after owning this a few month's, it is the one I turn to the most often. Fresh-squeezed lemon or lime in a dish I am preparing? Takes 2 seconds -- less time than it takes to bring the other device out of the cupboard.

When I first got the juicer, I absolutely loved it!Finally, fresh O.J.! Worked well, was able to juices 10-20 lbs. of oranges in minutes.However, I did get the feeling there was still plenty more left in the halves.Then one day the gears felt "sticky", and then on one more pull of the arm the metal body just cracked and broke!Right where the arm attaches to the body it just cracked apart.This was not mechanical. it was just poor quality. ... Limited use with citrus.
As noted earlier, this is really limited to lemons and limes.
I love this world sometimes! I love this tool.
B. White is of course correct. It does lousy with medium to large oranges to Grapefruits. But I've only seen them used with limes, lemons and tangerines. I use limes exclusively, love the slighty bitter, sour taste. It works like a champ. I've been using mine for 2 years fairly consistently with excellent results. Cooking, drinking, cleaning, even scenting a room. Does exactly what it says and what I want. Buy one and see.

I would not recommend purchasing this item to anyone. Fast and Easy Clean-up!
I purchased the Jack Lalanne Juicer from a major retailer and was thoroughly disappointed with its "inability" to juice much more than an apple so forget about wheatgrass (it went back that same day)! While the Hurricane does take some elbow grease (manual labor), it's SO worth it! This thing can get juice out of darn near anything!
