Throw away your knife block
My sister suggested I try a magnetic bar for my knives. I bought this one and wonder why it took me all these years to do it! I can put a whole knife collection on the bar (I have 3 chefs knives and a about 8 other assorted knives.) I also keep my kitchen scissors on the bar. It is off the counter and out of the way. I think this is a great way to store your knives. My knife block is going to the thrift store. I gave it only 4 stars because I have had it only a few months and I do not know how it will last.

Incredible asset to kitchen organization
This item is extremely well built, sturdy and very easily mounted, with easy removal should it be necessary for moving, remodeling, etc.Extremely good with holding lOTS of knives of all sizes.For lack of horizontal space to mount, I had to mount it vertically, and attach knives on an angle - even with this unusual mounting, the knives are held very securely and do not shift or slip.I am VERY pleased with this product.

I bought this set based on the reviews, please shop cautiously for this brand of knife to make sure you "know" what you're getting.These knives are sharper than any knife I have owned or seen.Comes with a great sharpener that will put a real edge on your other knife collections too.I have The Henckels steak knife set too and I quite satisfied with this purchase am sure anyone will, very reasonable price.

Henckels 13-slot in drawer knife tray
I am completely satisfied with the knife tray. All of my knives fit into the tray. It removes an unsightly knife block from the countertop. I recommend this product.

Brilliant!
This knife tray is a brilliant concept.We happen to have more drawer space than needed, so to have a knife block that safely stores our steak/santoku knives in a drawer fit our needs perfectly.It solved the problem of having extraneous stuff on the counter while also solving the problem of having mismatched knives openly in a knife block on the counter.
A Great Beginning
This knife block is wonderful for people who are just beginning a collection of good knives.After years with only one or two "good knives" in the house we've finally replaced them all with a number of very nice Wusthof Culinar and Japanese ceramic knives...none of which we wanted to have out on the counter in a block!The Henckels 13-Slot In-Drawer Knife Tray is well crafted and all the features it does have are wonderful - the combination of longer and shorter slots, the center slot for a sharpening piece.My only complaints are similar to those already stated: there's no place for shears and there's not enough room for any steak knives if you actually have a decent assortment of regular knives.I definitely recommend this product, but if you have the room and a lot of cutlery buy two! ... Glad I Bought It
I bought this to hold some of my "overflow" knives that would not fit into my knife block.It has proven to be very handy.
Kitchen Man
I've had one of these in constant use for four years now and it fulfills its reason for being admirably. It is totally utilitarian and keeps my valued, Wusthof, Global and Henckels, knives organized, out of sight,protected and instantly accessable without taking up the whole drawer or using up valuable counter space as larger 'made mostly for show' blocks would. If you're looking for something simple and in its own way elegant this should serve you well for a long time. If you have more knives than this will hold or if you have lots of counter space to waste get something larger. That's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Great with Room for All Sizes
The product is exactly as pictured.It fits all my largest knives, including several types of chef knives.The raised slots are plenty wide to accomodate wider handles from an assortment of knives from various brands.Some of the other knife blocks brands have narrower slots for the raised section, but this one has plenty of room for all of my knives, including my Chicago Cutlery knives.The knife block fits well in my drawer when full.The block seems to be plenty longer than my longest knives.

Okay, but...
Having never purchased a knife case like this before, I have no concrete basis for my rating. However, in the few months I've owned the case, I can say that there just HAS to be a better way to carry your knives around. This one doesn't seem to hold them securely enough, as they occasionally "rattle" during transport (and, if you're not careful, they could fall out of the case).It's serviceable, but I expected more.

Great Knife Protection
Bought this roll for my son who is attending his first year of culinary school and working in a restaurant.He absolutely loves it for carrying his knifes and it has enough room to carry the other miscellaneous tools he needs.The locking feature is most appreciated given how much the knives cost.

I've had my knife case for almost 12 years now, and it still keeps up with the abuse that comes with my profession as a chef.
