Great idea!!!
I really didn't know what to expect when I bought this product, but when I got it I liked it a lot.I can see where it might burn if left pushed all the way on the handle, but I just simply slide it back towards the end of the handle, leave it there, and when I need to move or lift the pan, just slide it back down all the way on.It works like a good quality pot holder, and is a bit non-skid so it tends to grip pretty good.It fits in the hand well, and works as designed.Convenient to use with cast iron since the heat travels up the handles well, and you always need a pot holder or rag to keep from burning your hands.This is a well made product that works as intended.I'm glad I bought it.

Pretty darn good, still have to be a little careful
I got this and the Lodge 2 Piece Hot Handle Holder Set at the same time, and this product is a lot better.It's more substantial, thicker, and because it's thicker (although the same size) it fits the handle more snugly, therefore less slipping around.

Poor quality
Not very good quality...
Very disappointed
I placed three orders for the photo frame coasters in a wood stand ( Total of 35 ). The packaging they came in was dirty as if they were left on a shelf for months. After opening them, the sides of most of the coasters were loose. I could have glued them back together, but when you are purchasing something you shouldn't have to fix them yourself. I was very disappointed not only with the product, but also with the response from Amazon. The replacement sets that I received were just as bad. I questioned about quality control and the response was that sometimes things are good and sometimes bad. Not a kind of response from such a large company that you would expect.

Gift idea
Bought them for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. She really liked them, and if you like to display pictures and use coasters in rooms that are casual, these are great for you. ... Read more

Not totally heat proof
I can still feel the heat beneath the cover.I paid a dollar more to get this version rather than the multicolored set because I love Red Hot Chili Peppers.Always will.

Good for when you bake or roast in your skillet
Works like one would expect. I use it rather than a pot holder/oven mitt when removing the cast iron from the oven. It's perfect for the task, especially since my hands don't go into oven mitts easily. It is a "unitasker" but worth it for frequent cast iron bakers.

Oh-so-cute, but not particularly useful.
I first purchased these because I needed pot holders, so I was surprised when they arrived to see that they would only cover one finger at a time. (NOT THE MANUFACTURER'S FAULT). Having admitted that embarrassing piece of information,I still don't find them useful.Unlike other reviewers, I dont' feel comfortable leaving the handle holder on while cooking (I have a gas oven)and trying to put them on after the skillet has been on the stove defeats the purpose.

Nice BQ mit
I got this because I use the Weber kettle grill with the wide bowl and I need to be able to reach over the hot coals so, this mit does the trick.A well made product.

Not Heavy Duty
This is the second Weber Mitt that I've tried. They both burned through within two weeks. There are other, heavier-duty mitts avaiable that will last a lot longer.

I absolutely love these potholders!!!! I have four sets of them. They are great as potholders but they also have other uses. I place them under cutting boards to keep them from sliding on the counter when I am chopping. I also use them to keep bowls firmly on the counter if I am whipping cream. These gloves are good because they cover the whole hand and wrist, allow for good manual dexterity, and stand up well to abuse.
Wonderful cooking gloves - would be even better with hanging loops
I love these thick, high quality gloves.I use them for the grill and in the kitchen.They protect my hands from heat really well.Also, we have a gas stove and we've burned many regular cotton oven mitts.These gloves seem flame resistant and have not been burned at all - which is why we purchased these.

Good heat protection, like the true "glove"design
I started using these in culinary school. Our chefs used them. A key is that they have separated fingers which allows you greater control in preparation than traditional mitts. However, due to their woven design, they are not as heat resistant as some heavier duty, Kevlar style gloves. Also, like any glove, if they get wet at all, the heat resistance goes way down.

The honeymoon is over.
When I bought these (2 of them), I was in love.I could hold ANYTHING and not get burnt.I could even pick up an entire roasted chicken and transfer it to a platter - and then rinsethe mitts under running water.
Gloves that actually work
These gloves address an important issue--protecting hands even when wet. With these, there is no possibility of getting burned unless liquid were to seep in from the top (very unlikely).
The lesser of two evils
I decided to replace my worn, cloth oven mits with these because they were getting worn and so thin that they no longer protected my hands from heat, especially wet heat and spills.

I've had them for years & I swear by them
I have the Tucker burn guard commercial line, kitchenaid and various designer potholders and I've stopped using them all except these Oxo.These are great for blocking the heat.I have smallish female hands and I admit that these mits took some getting used to.Once I got used to them (after the first or second use) I routinely reach for them.Its to the point that I don't even have the other ones out anymore.I am here looking to replace my original set of 3 (2 mits + 1 potholder) and I was surprised by the negative reviews.So surprised in fact that I am writing this review.I swear by them.

Poor functionality for high temp mitt
The mitt provides outstanding protection but it's too stiff and clumsy for regular use in the kitchen.I think it's best suited for moving grills, racks, etc.

This is definitely not the case with MIU France's stainless steel napkin holder. For one thing, the napkins lie flat, parallel with the table, on a brushed steel tray.
