Good Juicer - worth the money
This is a good juicer that is easy to use and quite easy to clean.I use mine just for making fruit and vegetable juices so I can't speak to how effective it is in making other items.

A classic tool which is highly reccommended. I have owned mine for 15+ years and have loved it.This tool is legendary and for good reason. This is the one to buy for life since it may never have to be replaced or repaired.I agree with the positive comments made by others. I use mine for juicing carrots. This machine is heavy and powerful.I buy the big juicing carrots in 25lb bags and this machine is almost impossible to stall even when jamming the giant juicers through it non-stop.This is the type of machine used in juice bars.You can use it continuosly without cleaning which is a unique feature.

Works as Advertised!
This little machine is a brute - obviously a refined design, improved over time. It does one thing very well - extracts the juice from vegetables and fruits.It is not under-powered; and the pulp by-product is quite dry, meaning that most of the juice is extracted.The motor portion is quite heavy and the juicer parts go together with some effort. A slightly built person with weaker hands may have trouble assembling and disassembing the juicer parts. Are you sure you want a juicer????
Bought this because of an article on juicing in better homes & gardens.Envisioned veggies turned to juice - yum!Well, we haven't had as much funand good healthy exercise since Uncle Ed got et by the hogs.There's plenty of power!Throws veggies & fruit back at you thru the intake slot (duck fast) and flings pulp all over the walls & ceiling (good exercise cleaning up).Seriously, my kids & I had a real giggle trying it out.But what I really, really didn't like is probably true of all juicers - 98% of the input came out the "pulp" slot and 2% came out the juice slot.The juice was tasty, but most of the food I paid for was wasted.So I think I need some other kind of appliance.
Great Juice But a Few Drawbacks
I acquired the juicer in 1998 after my father passed away.We found it at his house, apparently having never been used.I have used it now for about 6 years, and I love it.We all know the benefits of fresh juice, so I'll focus more on this product.It juices really easily and has a powerful motor.The pulp is moderately dry, which means you are getting more juice.TWO BIG DRAWBACKS (which cost a star):the intake chute is too small to juice whole fruits and vegetables, unlike the Lalanne juicer which has a large chute and can juice entire apples (although that juicer is far weaker).A bigger chute would mean less cutting.Second, after I used it for about a year it began to get horribly loud during the juicing process, usually after I juiced something hard like a carrot.The whole machine vibrates and I found I could diminish the sound by pressing down on the top.It goes away after you juice other items, which I guess gets rid of the hard pieces causing it to vibrate.I wouldn't mind a quieter juicer.Otherwise, I strongly recommend this. ... Not as bad as Bund Pan Collector Says
I just got one for Christmas, and have been happy with the product. I only had to use 'extreme force' if I put too much food into the chute at once. I've been juicing pineapples and apples for a few days now and have not experienced an overheating problem. Also, compared to other juicers I've had (juiceman, etc), this one is simple to clean.
