Very useful.
This is a review of the Large Cookie Scoop. Works great for perfectly proportioning cookie dough, as well as for evenly filling sectioned baking pans with other batter such as cupcakes and muffins. Much easier to use, with less mess to clean up than home improvised tools for the same jobs, such as a tablespoon or serving spoon. Continues to survive the sanitize cycle of the dishwasher just fine and comes out looking brand new each time.

Cookie-making has never been so easy
I love this cookie scoop! My least favorite part of making cookies used to be scooping the dough onto the pan because it took so long since the dough would stick onto the spoon and my fingers.

this seems to work well. the handle did retain some spots even after i dried it with a cloth.

Best scoop
This scoop works extremely well on ice-cream, sorbet, gelato, you name it.I'm able to scoop as soon as I pull the ice-cream out of the freezer.Previously, I would have to set the ice-cream on the counter to defrost a bit.However, with the Zeroll, the heat from your hand immediately transfers to the scooper and cuts into the ice-cream.Remember not to put the Zeroll in the dishwasher!

It really works!
I try to make my own ice cream as often as possible - generally it's softer and creamier. But with the effort it takes, it doesn't happen to often so Baskin Robbin's it is. And anyone who knows Baskin Robbin's knows that their ice cream can be so packed it's hard to scoop. I bought this scoop and kept my fingers crossed the whole time. I'm happy to say that it works! Best ice cream 'scoop' ever
Like other reviews say, this is the best ice cream scoop ever (well, "spade").I've had mine for 2 years now.No matter how cold or hard the icecream/yogurt is, the spade cuts right through.I considered getting the type that has anti-freeze type liquid which supposedly helps.I'm so glad that I got this Kitchen Aid spade - it works far better than any other scoop that I've tried.The handle is perfect as well, and the whole thing is well-balanced.

Excellent Product, many uses, great multi-tasker!!
I have had this tool for a few years now and it continues to work just fine.
Pretty good
It worked great through the first couple of batches of cookies. After that, it started losing it's lubrication. It got squeaky and a little more difficult to use. I thought it was just the one I had, but I had ordered two. I tried out the other one and it had the same problem. Other than that, it's a pretty good tool. It did make nice looking cookies and meatballs.

Great cookie scoop!
This is a perfect cookie scoop.I like to make slightly larger cookies, and this scoop gets the cookie dough out perfectly every time.Because the cookies are larger, it is a good idea to flatten each blob of dough slightly before baking. (as I did when I worked in a bakery)I have not used this scoop for anything else, because I only bought it for cookies.It does not look like it would work that great for ice cream, but I don't know.I love making cookies with it!!!

Not good for ice cream
I notice this item is not billed as an ice cream scoop. Odd since it is the classic ice cream scoop design. It's probably fine for cookie dough or even sherbet that is softer than ice cream, but for ice cream it is not sturdy enough. Keeps breaking
I find that if you have hard ice cream to scoop the more this ice cream scooper breaks.Squeezing this hard sometimes pushes it out of it's gears and it is a pain to get it back on line.Read more

Started off fine, but then...
This scoop started off fine, but the spring broke rather quickly.Still used it for awhile, but was disappointed overall.

What a piece of JUNK!
I have always trusted OXO products, but this time I was woefully mislead. The internal ejector blade broke with the very first scoop of ice cream.Bad, Bad product.Don't waste your money on this one.

The "scoop" on the scoop!
Works fine.Releases just as it says it will.Not quite as sturdy as I thought it would be, but time will tell if it will hold up.

Nice Performance but Inferior Quality
This ice cream scooper fits nicely in the hand and cuts through hard ice cream with ease.The scoop ejection mechanism is a handy feature as well.However, the quality is a little suspect and I would be suprised to find that this is the same scoop they use in the actual stores.The metal is thin and discoloration occured after one trip through the dishwasher.This is a better scoop than most others, but do not expect the highest quality.

Leaks water
The grip is indeed good, and the scoop works well, even with hard ice cream. This product has an annoying flaw, however. When you wash it, water gets trapped in some tiny nooks and crannies. Then, when you are scooping ice cream, especially ice cream that's straight out of the freezer, the pressure from scooping opens up these nooks and crannies (e.g., around where the scoop shaft joins the handle) and water starts dribbling out and down into the ice cream container.
the handle fell off
I haven't been eating THAT much ice cream! The handle fell off as I was scooping ice cream for impatient children. I kept scooping with just the scoop part and cut my hand on the jagged broken part. While my cut has nothing really to do with the poor quality of the scoop, it not being designed for use once broken, it did add to the annoyance factor.

I also have had the ice cream scoop for around five years and noticed the finish comes off on your hands and ice cream.It worked better than any other scoop but it worries me about the way it doesn't last.

Shipping prices are ridiculous
$9.95 on shipping for this item.I wish I would have realized that before I purchased, but it was in a large order.Give me a break.I won't buy from them again.
