Just fill the tray with water, slide the lid on, and slip the tray into the freezer. The lid design allows you to stack more trays or other items on top: a great space-saving feature. To dispense the ice cubes, slide the lid in either direction until the desired number of cubes are exposed, then flip the tray over to release the cubes. The clever lid design lets you release a single cube or a dozen, and both tray and lid have a solid feel, with just the right amount of give. A poor wannabe
I have four covered trays made by Tupperware, I was trying to save a buck, bought four of these because I have liked other Oxo products.It was a mistake.While these work, the cubes are small, the trays are difficult to fill and cap without spilling water, and they are clunky in the freezer compartment.All I did was compromise, buy and waste my money, and now I need to go pay the full price for the Tupperware trays that work and that I should have bought to start with.

Great idea but flawed
Although the idea of these ice cube trays is great the actual use and operation of them is not. They can be very difficult to open up after they have frozen your ice cubes. Needless to say that is frustrating and it ends up making a mess all over with pieces of chipped ice and so on.The internal surface of the lid sticks to the ice cubes making opening up the tray very difficult if not impossible and leads to frustration and a mess in general.I would not recommend these to my friends or family.

Tray For Making Ice Cubes - Speaking The Obvious.
I was shopping around for an ice cube tray that can seal in the ice and keep it fresh. I do not like the flavor of cubes left open in the freezer. I purchased those close-bottled trays with a screw cap, but the ice cubes have very little volume and melts quite fast. This OXO tray caught my eye on amazon so I decided to give it a shot. I really should of had listened to the golden rule of always looking at something in person before buying. It does not seal ice cubes from being contaminated, but nowhere did it ever claim that. I should of had been more keen on my part. I can think of a few reasons otherwise, but I do not feel there is a need for the cover if it doesn't seal the cubes properly. To be fair, the cubes does turn out with sufficient volume and is quite solid. The tray can be a hassle removing straight out of the freezer, but I rarely had problems with that if I am careful when filling water into the tray and aligning the cover properly. I keep plenty of frozen meats and vegetables in the freezer, and it is important to me in having a ice cube tray that seals properly. I will continue my search for a sturdy sealable tray. I will post an update if I find one that I have tested.

Simply devine
At just over $20 bucks this wine cooler is amazing. Good looking, yes, but so easy too! Don't bother doing what we did at first, trying to pre-chill it with ice or keep it in the freezer. Doesn't work, doesn't help. Simply stick your chilled bottle in this cooler and it will keep your wine at an ideal temperature throughout your meal. No ice, no fuss. Perfect.

Great Buy
This ice bucket is the first I've ever purchased, but it is better than any I've looked at in the stores. It kept the ice cold for a long time without melting, and it looks great too. Very sturdy design. A nice addition to a bar-b-que or outdoor party. I would buy it again if I had a choice.
