This multipurpose tool created a stir in the kitchen when it came out, as the food processor did a generation earlier. In order to blend, whip, and chop smaller amounts of ingredients, it's no longer necessary to wrestle with bulky appliances. Immerse the 7-1/2-inch blender shaft, with its little blade on the end, into a pot where vegetables have been simmering, press the switch, and in seconds a creamy soup appears--with no need to dump everything into a big blender. Blend sauces and baby foods in their cooking pots, too. Blend a milk shake or juice drink right in its drinking container, or in the 2-1/2-cup beaker included in this set. Whipping cream and egg whites is just as convenient: a 5-inch whisk attaches to the motor when the blender is removed. Motor dies
The motor of this thing died and almost burned my hand in the process. I was trying to chop raisins (bad idea, however no word about that in the instructions... they tell you to not chop cheese, but nuts are said to be OK) and after a couple of seconds, a spark came out of the button where I was holding the blender(since you need to press the button to have it work, you have to hold it there).
GREAT!!!
We use it to make food for our 8 month old. We've been using it for about 3-4 months now and it's worth every penny.

Great Set
I received this hand blender as a gift, and i was very happy with it. Its a must have in every kitchen as its very handy. The chopper bowl also does a great job to make diffrent pastes. Again a good item to gift. I would definitely recommend this.

Brushed Chrome is Chrome Colored Plastic
The main reason I bought this Imersion Hand Blender was to replace my old one with a plastic body.I was extremely disapointed when I received my "Brushed Chrome" Blender only to find out the body is chrome colored plastic.Upon reviewing the item description, it does say in the fine print "This Brushed Chrome SmartStick Hand Blender is made from ABS housing".Well in my book Chrome is metal and ABS is plastic.The only things I like about this blender are that you can remove the shaft assembly for cleaning and the motor is pretty powerful.

Dangy-dang!
Holy guacamole! I was a disbeliever, but now that I have this Cuisinart immersion blender, I am a True Believer. It is substantial yet quiet, and it works really, really well. It is easy to clean as the blender piece pops right off. I love that I can just place it into the pot and puree my soup right there! Awesome! Carrot soup, cauliflower soup, sweet potato soup have all fallen under my spell with this magic wand. Recommended.

Ah hah, I'm all shook up!
Well ok, maybe I am not all shook up so much as BLENDED up. I purchased this immersion blender after my older no name brand unit purchased at Wally World died in the middle of blending a pot of hot soup. I like that you can wash the blenders blade assembly in the dishwasher and the stainless steel shaft is not stained like so many of the ALL PLASTIC models. Another thing I love is the power of the unit and the sharpness of the blades; they will reduce a pot of cream of broccoli soup to a smooth consistency in nothing flat.

Great for small batches of baby food!
I would give this mixer 5 stars, except that I need to buy my third mixer in 11 years. Its nice to have one tool that is a mixer, can make healthy fruit smoothies, AND can make small batches of homemade baby food. I used this small chopper to make baby food for all 4 of my kids, the mixer to make cakes and other things, and the blender for smoothies for the kids. If you have babies, or plan on having them, this is great to have. The bad thing, is that the motor burns out. I don't feel I abuse it, or overuse it, but my first mixer burned out in about 5 years, my second in another 5 years. This is not a long term appliance. My current multimix is a 280 watt, but my first one was smaller wattage I believe.

Very good mixer for the price
I must admit that I did not have high expectations for this mixer for the price.But the unit works very well.I was initially put off by the beaters as they seem very lightweight and flimsy.But they hold up well to use in spite of their lack of heft.I have been very happy with it.

Easy to use and clean
This hand blender is GREAT because I make fresh salsa often and it's a lot easier to use and clean this hand blender than to use my food processor.The attachments are easy to remove and store.I've looked at a few different hand blenders and I think that quality will always be worth the extra money you put into the product.It's been worth it.

Easy, Effective, Convenient
I love this hand blender.It makes great smoothies. I use all frozen fruit---berries, bananas, peaches, etc.I just make sure that the berries are not whole, and the blender works just fine.The plastic mixing container is the perfect size. Also, the detachable bottom half of the blender makes it a breeze to clean. This is so much easier than using a traditional blender to make a smoothie.

Great as a Coffee Grinder
I bought this to see if it would grind coffee beans as I did not want to buy a separate coffee grinder. I placed the coffee beans in a small plastic sandwich bag and used the Smart Stick itself to grind them right in the bag. Unlike a regular coffee grinder there was minimal clean up and no coffee all over the place; it's much quieter too. It did a good job - resulting in a medium coarse grind that is ideal for drip coffee makers but would not be fine enough for espresso coffee makers. I have yet to use the chopper/grinder bowl or whisk attachments but based just on using it as a coffee grinder I give it 5 stars. Elegant Cuisinart design is a plus.

Not as good as the Braun Multiquick
I was going to buy this stick blender, and then I read a review with some troubling info, so I switched to the Braun Multiquick, and I'm really glad I did.

Mission Accomplished!
We've been looking for something like the frother for a very long time.We travel to Greece every year and they do amazing things with Nescafe and a blender similar to the frother.Now, we can have our Nescafe coffee drinks all year long!

Nearly perfect frother
We own the rechargeable version of this as well.Both work quite well in making froth.However, this battery version falls short of the rechargeable and so gets 4 stars for two reasons:The switch design placement is very awkward (on the side of the thing) and really does not fall to hand easily.The other version has the power button on the top, so it is easy to hold it pinched upright and press the button with an index finger.Also, the stand is not very stable.Since it hangs, the whole thing is top-heavy and prone to being knocked over easily.The recharger stand is designed to accept the device upside down, so it is bottom-heavy.(The recharging unit seems to use magnetic induction, just like most modern electric toothbrushes.)

This stick blender is awesome
This stick blender is AWESOME.I use it for everything.I puree soups right in the pot without the mess of transferring to a food processor.We make smoothies in the large cup that comes with it, which fits the stick blender perfectly.And even though I wasn't really interested in having it, I use the included blender-looking attachment all the time.In fact, the 400 watt motor makes it a lot more powerful than our "real" blender. It makes mincemeat of ice and frozen berries.All parts except the motor are diswasher safe, which is great for cleanup.The other thing I love is the "turbo" mode - it's just so powerful, it zips through everything.

Great product!
No drips/leaks. EZ to clean. Has a "wagon wheel" like clump breaker that actually works. Drinking from the cup is made easier with the pop up air intake... kind of like the air intake on a gas can. You drink from the cup... not suck because of the air intake. Great product... great price.

I have had this immersion blender for more than six months. It is wonderful for pureeing soups and sauces in the pot, eliminating the possibility of burning yourself when transferring hot items to the blender or food processor.
This is the tool I've been waiting for
I don't know why it took me so long to get this blender. My daughter-in-law has one and I saw how handy it was. Anyway, I really like it. It does a fine job on drinks, mashed potatoes and sauces and it's easy to clean. I had no problem whipping just a 1/4 cup of cream in the provided container. very pleased
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product, it has been working very well and seems surprisingly powerful.It will quickly blend up banana in a milkshake so smoothly that you don't even know that it's in there, the other hand blender we used prior to purchasing this one would always leave detectable bits at the bottom.The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because of the size, it's rather tall and a little bit difficult to handle especially for someone older.

Why Puree in your Blender?
Rustic or smooth soup or sauce- well sometimes I change my mind mid-recipe.When I decide I want everything smoother and I'm too lazy to dump the whole pot into my blender (and it's also HOT) I just get out my trusty "boat motor" -my Cuisinart Immersion blender.I also use it as a smoothie machine.You don't have one?Shame on you!

Broke after second use. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
My first use of this product I was impressed. The second was a different story. It short circuited and tripped the breaker to the kitchen. A second attempt caused the same results instantly. It wasn't even in use at the time but still caused the breaker to flip and the device to become extremely hot. Faulty manufactoring and a product so sub-par that not only does it not work, it's most likely and electrical and safety hazard. Review: not only is it useless, it's basically dangerous.

hurts your finger while you push the button
I do not know what those guys were thinking, but did you notice a bump right in the meedle of the push button? Yes, there is a bump, and it is quite pointy and sharp. Now imagine pushing this button for any time, and you have to really push it hard for this blender to work, and push it for quite long, because the blender is weak, and you will really need a lot of time to get results. And all this time this pointy bump cuts into your finger! it is torture! I got this blender as a gift, or I would send it back. Also, you cannot remove the moving part to wash it, so you have to balance the whole thing while washing, so it will not fall in the water and be ruined.

Fantastic at everything
Just have to add my kudos to all the others.This device does just about everything better, quicker, & more efficiently than either my Cuisinart food processor or my big KitchenAid table mixer. I can puree HUGE batches of soup in 1-2 minutes right in the pot.The blender is easy to hold.I hardly even need to move it around in the pot to get the soup blended to perfection.I can chop veggies or nuts, or process sauces, pastes, marinades, & 'thick' salad dressings instantly in the easy-to-use attachment.I thought the whisk would be the weak point of this set.It looked thin and flimsy.But I discovered it whips both egg whites and whipping cream faster AND BETTER than my big mixer.It's a big bonus that it is so small, light, and easy to clean.Within a week or two of getting this for myself I bought one for a friend.I now keep my food processor around ONLY for chopping large quantities of veggies and for the shredding jobs.I keep the table mixer ONLY for kneading bread.

Handy cordless blender!
I love my Cuisinart Cordless Blender.No cords to get in the way and easy to use when traveling by car--no power cord needed.Charges quickly and can easily be taken apart for storage or transport.This is my second CSB-44N--keep one at work and one at home! I should note that I have had my first Blender for 3 years and it still works great.I run the blender until the battery is discharged before recharging it to avoid battery problems.

The "convenience" isn't convenient at all
Cuisinart's ad copy and product directions claim that the charger can be kept plugged into the wall so it's always ready for use.However, this is a nickel-cadmium rechargeable battery.Plugging it back in to recharge before you've fully drained it is DEATH to NiCad batteries! This stupid design decision on the part of Cuisinart almost guarantees a poor user experience.

Doesn't keep a charge, and maintain a fast enough speed

Handy, practical tool for a great price
I trust Kitchenaid's products completely, and this immersion blender is not an exception. I use this for blending soups and am pleased with the quiet motor and efficient results every time. Fabulous if used properly
This is an indispensable tool in my kitchen.I use it for pureeing sauces, soups and correcting gravy mishaps.It works great if you do not place it vertically at the bottom of your bowl or pan.It works best if you place it on the bottom of bowl/pan and tilt the blender a bit.In this way it is stable and it's able to pull ingredients into blades more quickly for a smoother finish.I use the chopper for everything except hard cheese (learned the hard way). Must have kitchen gadget!

Love it
I love this. It's great because it has the little chopper attachment, which acts like a mini food processor. And I can also use it to blend soups and make tomato sauce without having to lug out the big blender or food processor. When I bought it, I didn't realize the one I was buying didn't come with the whisk attachment. (But you're supposed to be able to buy this seperately too. Although I haven't found it yet) It would have been nice to have, but not a necessity. It chops, blends and cleans up very quickly too. A must have.

Good, not great
This boat motor does the job, but takes forever to get it done. Its limited power of 200 watts is a severe hindrance. Merely pureeing carrots in chix stock (quart total volume) left quite a few chunks after nearly 30 seconds of blending. It is however, easy to clean and quieter than your average blender or food processor. Do yourself a favor and get the Braun 430, with 50% more power and only a minor price difference. ... Read more

This hot milk frother is excellent. You get scalding thick hot milk for you coffee, with a topping of wonderful froth.I love this item. ready in 3 min, put it on while the coffee is brewing.

I bought this frother to use for making Chai Tea since I was sick of going to Starbucks for my fix.The instructions are very clear & easy to follow, the operation of the unit extremely easy.You basically pour in the milk & let it rip.I tested it using Swiss Miss cocoa mix & it worked like a charm - it really jazzed up an otherwise mundane cup of cocoa.The thick foam lasted for about 45 minutes & the unit produced more than enough.Even though it's not a "name brand", I highly recommend this one! ... Works fine for me...
I had a Bonjour brand frother that I replaced with this one because it looks better on my kitchen counter.This one works just as well as the Bonjour and froths my milk just fine for a latte at home.

Pretty, but wimpy
I purchased a different frother for my MOM for x-mas from amazon.It worked great and I decided I have to by one for myself.I saw this one it looked so sleek and stylish compared to the one I bought my mom. I that thought they are all basically the same. I went for style over funtion.

Great kitchen gadget
This is a really handy gadget. The 2 piece construction makes it a breeze to clean, and lets you put the bottom in the dishwasher if you want to. I reasearched it and I think I got the best value. My wife complains that I never used to make smoothies...
