worth the price
Even though this trash can is pricey, it is well worth it. The inside is quite spacious for a 10 gallon can and it has a great looking exterior. The slow closing lid is a real noise stopper.

i read reviews before i bought this brand and i am happy to say that i am very satisfied with this product.it's very well made and functions well.i recommend paying a little more for this can then spending less on a can that looks like this one but will break.

awesome - love it
I know - it's ridiculous to use the word love when discussing a trash can but after suffering for so long with a cheapie one that was almost impossible to empty and filled up every two minutes I am very happy with this one.It is much easier to empty and looks great - nice smooth open and close too (no banging lid).Yeah, I consider this pricy for a trash receptacle but really it's the one thing in your house that you use EVERYDAY and this should last for years. A bit below expectations
I wanted to love these cubes, but the fabric is not great for appearances, and I have broken the inside wire on two of my cubes (I bought two sets). The price is great, however, and I love the three sizes that come in each set. Perhaps my mistake was that I expected too much of the cubes. I use them sparingly now, which really defeats the purpose of purchasing them. As much as I still like the colors and sizes, I would not repeat my purchase.

Not sturdy.Not for long term everyday use.
Great idea collapsible storage.I liked the idea of storage that wasn't plastic because we already have so much plastic storage!At first I thought they were great but now I can't say I would recommend them except... (see bottom).Not long after start of use, probably not more than a couple of months, the sticks that provide support (edge framing) have torn through the fabric.The fabric is not sturdy- very thin- should be thicker, sturdier.
Good for young kids; but better for senior kids/adults

Maximizes space
We recently purchased this cart and recommend it to others. Instead of three bins spread over the garage floor, the cart has the footprint of a single bin and our recycling is now consolidated into one location. Our city's three differently-sized recycling bins fit perfectly on the hooks. The bins rest at a slight angle, so it's easy to add materials to the bins throughout the week. The entire cart wheels to the curb where we can easily remove and stack the bins for collection. The cart construction is solid, though the machining of the axle pieces could be sturdier. Worth the price
I had a $50 coupon, so the cost was not as great, but after receiving the trash can, I would have paid full price for it.It looks nice.The lid works great.The band around the top and the bag holder are a tremendous asset.The white color is much better than the stainless ones that leave fingerprints.This was a very good choice.

Expensive but works well
I like the hands-free design.The linkage between the foot pedal and the lid seems a little loose (and a bit flimsy) but works ok so far.The trash can has a thin metal exterior with a plastic inner liner that you can pull out to dump the trash.We use tall kitchen trash bags with tie ends and it's a little awkward getting them installed so the tie ends don't hang outside the can.Might try the bags with draw strings and see if that helps.Item arrived in excellent condition.For the price, I expect this trash can to last AT LEAST ten years.Anything less than that and I won't be sending hugs & kisses to OXO. ... I can't believe I'm raving about a trash can!!!
I first fell in love with this at a friend's house.I couldn't believe how easily it opened!My toe had just barely touched the foot pedal. WOW. I didn't have to turn my foot to the side to get enough pressure to push on the pedal.

CERTAINLY, HAVING A SIMPLEHUMAN CONTAINER HAS BEEN WORTHY. HOWEVER, WHEN THE OPEN TOP PEDAL BROKE AND THEIR SEEMINGLY ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE MY RECOMENDATION(S) TO POTENIAL BUYERS HAS CHANGED.THE PRICE IS TO GREAT FOR A NO PARTS REPLACEMENT CONTAINER

My trashcan broke after only a few months!!
We bought this trash can, which seems to have a very sturdy design and appears to be well made about 3 months ago.We noticed after only a short while that the "step-on lid opener" would not open the can as far as it had before.After a couple of days the plastic peice on the bottom broke. This can was used mainly by my husband and myself and was not put through any rough handling.I have yet to find a replacement part and I did not save my receipt or any purchase information...because it is a TRASHCAN that is supposed to be the best that money can buy.The metal does not stain or pit, it is very solid albeit the opening mechanisim.If I find replacement parts, I will write another review with that information. ... It's a big basket...
Ordered the deluxe 4-8' closet system and several accessories for both me and my husband's 8' closets.I ordered just one sliding wire basket for myself to see how it was (it was a little pricey).This is a big basket: 23.5" wide and 7.25" high.Because it is 18" deep, it extends past the 12" shelves.I personally had a difficult time installing the basket.It installs the same way as the sliding pants racks, which I really had a hard time installing.Even my husband complained and he's pretty handy. Just read the instructions carefully, and keep a screwdriver within arm's reach once you start inserting the brackets into the uprights.However, once installed, the sliding wire basket is wonderful.It glides in and out and holds a lot of stuff.The whole Rubbermaid Configurations closet system is affordable, attractive, and for the most part simple to install.I highly recommend all of it. ... Little Hassle
Purchased an RV Series trash can from Home Depot and then purchased the door mounting kit separately.Hardware that came with door mounting kit did not work with the RV Series trash can...had to Gorilla Glue the door mount to the sliding track...a hassle, but it worked out in the end and I really like the ease of the sliding trash can.

Cool Cans!
Received both of the cans.The little one is great for the hallway and the big one is just very well designed!After having these for less than a year the little black plastic piece that flips the lid up is broken.

Fabulous - definitely worth the money!
I looked all over to find a stainless-steel, step to open the lid, trash can.The price on this one is unbeatable!The large can is skinny, but still perfect for a kitchen.It was about half the price of other large cans I was finding, but came with the bonus can inside, making this an unbelievable bargain.The smaller can is perfect for an office, bedroom, or bathroom.If you're unsure about this purchase, believe me... you won't regret it!
